"even i wouldn't risk the life of my own cubs in this drought if i where to have any. even if it further proved they came from strong blood." Huojin would not approve of anyone purposely having cubs during a bad drought just to prove that their offspring were from strong stock. even though he was all for strength, he didn't like the thought of endangering innocent cubs. " yes it is a fact Alma." giving his own purr, he was too caught up in the moment to realize that he was hinting very clearly that he was into her. " who else is going to keep away the losers from trying to be with you?"

She was a smart lady, and she caught his hinting and signs clear as the sun rose every morning. With a flick of her tail she nuzzled her muzzle under his chin and smiled, "Maybe I'll just go with the biggest loser of them all.." She teased him playfully.
"Or not pick any of them and just run away with the biggest brute in the pride.." She nipped at his mane. She was hoping her, own hints were getting through his thick skull.

Huojin might of been just a brute with a thick skull but he caught on rather fast to her own hints towards him. just her nuzzling under his chin had him melting though he tried to pull off being cool. " i highly doubt you would go with the biggest loser." he knew she was teasing at him like she always had and so he didn't get all riled at the moment. " as for running away with the biggest brute........i think that is possible." knowing he was being a sap, he was thankful that it was only him and Alma about at the moment.

She too was greatful that it was only them at this time, her guard was down and she was exposing a side of herself that was greatly hidden.
"I think Im quiet content with this." She said, keeping herself tucked against him, nuzzling a touch more under his chin.

Huojin couldn't help but keep leaving his guard down as he was enjoying this rare moment with Alma. it wasn't often he admit any 'weak' emotions but he couldn't help but do that with her since he had grown so fond of her as they had grown up together. " and i'am also." he was more than content with staying with her at the current moment til they had their duties to get to. " lets just stay here for now."
