It was just around the corner. The day of reckoning. The day his life would change. Not too much, the cub hoped. Sure, he would be considered a full adult and not a Pesar anymore. But growing up didn't mean one had to change everything about them....Did it? He realized he'd have to take on more responsibilities than he had now. He'd have a female or two to watch over. And it was his duty to carry on his family name with cubs of his own. It was so much to worry about for someone still so young.
Harith flicked his tail where he sat on the flat rock in front of his family den. Lately, these worries had been racing through his mind a lot. At most, it was only a month away. It would be his first time away from the pridelands. Hell, even now, the blue eyed cub wasn't far from sight of his family den. Adventure didn't coarse through his veins like it did some other lions. So long as he had food and somewhere comfortable to relax in, he was content. Why go looking for trouble and shorten ones life?
A large yawn split the face of the older cub. He was a bit tired, having been woken early by activity in the den. As scary as his journey was, he would be glad to finally have his own den. His own quiet, peaceful den...So long as he secured himself an equally quiet lioness. Just one would do. He didn't need two.

![User Image](https://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h288/Scarsareforever/SoA/Certs/obadiasadultcert.png) Obadias was content with how things were at that moment. Were there things he would have done differently had he been given the opportunity to do them again? Of course. There was always mistakes that people would change, but they did not haunt him like he had always feared they would. Instead, he found himself rather content - happy, even.
Which was why he had decided to take one of his nieces, young Na'ila, out for a walk. The young female was quiet, respectful, and very, very self-conscious from what he had seen. Slightly clumsy, Obadias had seen her fall countless times but she always got back up. That was something, at least.
Obadias glanced at the quiet female by his side, checking on her, when a figure caught his eye. Oh, he recognised those colours. The cub must be related to Zahra somehow, which made them related too.
"Hello little one," Obadias called out, his voice even, red eyes watching the young male.
Na'ila wasn't really sure why her Uncle Obadias had decided to escort her around the pride. She had been content in her daddy's den, practicing being a banu, but Obadias had insisted. She bet he felt sorry for her, since the rest of her siblings had been out playing. She didn't mind, she usually failed at most games anyway, and they weren't really that important.
It was nice to get out of the den and not have to worry about her honour being compromised if some strange pad decided to talk to her - her Uncle was chaperoning, after all.
Blinking at her Uncle when he called out to the male, Na'ila unconsciously shifted closer to Obadias, not recognising the male as a cousin yet.

Another yawn split the Juv's face, sharp teeth glinting in the sun before he heard the voices. His mouth was quick to close back up with a snap, making his jaw hurt slightly at the impact. Harith raised a paw to rub at the side of his face, turning around to face the strangers as he did so. They didn't look familiar to him. The contrast of their eyes, bright red like his were blue, stood out greatly from the duller coat. At least in terms of the male's dark green and black. They looked like they were related, judging by the eyes and the little breaks between their patterns. The cub who appeared about his age had a series of spots where her colors met like Harith did. Possible he could be related to her. It was nothing unknown to the male cub that he had a large family within and outside the pride.
"Hello, Sir," Harith returned, falling into a different form of respectful titles. Realizing it, he quickly bowed his head slightly, not as far as he'd seen females do, and added," Er...I mean to say, good evening, Pad. And Banu," the last was included with a slight incline of his head. He didn't like leaving anyone out of his greetings, male or female.
Blue eyes quickly moved to the mouth of his family den, checking for any movement. He really didn't want to take a wrong step with strangers in plain view of his family. He had heard tales about some Pads you didn't want to get on the wrong side of. Something about being careful of stripes. This one had stripes. Harith hoped he had bumped into the correct one with stripes. If not...It wasn't like Ilyas was far away to rescue his son if need be.
Knowing male behavior was more tolerated than female, he raised his eyes to meet the Pad, being sure not to show female timidness and submissiveness. Straightening up as he did so from his respectful bow. His tail curled around one thigh.

Obadias mouth quirked into a smile, remembering the days of learning manners quite clearly. It had all been quite confusing as a cub, especially since he had been sneaking off to see Parvana during those ‘lesson’ times as well, which had confused him further. “Greeting young Pesar,” he said, voice rumbling warmly in greeting. “From your markings, I would assume you are related to Pad Misilivuma? Or,rather, Pad Vu.” He peered at the young lad, smiling warmly. Misilivuma went by Vu, usually, or so he'd heard.
“I am Pad Obadias, and this is my niece, Banu Na’ila.”
Na’ila perked up at the discussion, peering shyly at the boy from beneath a lowered head. Was he related to Grandpa Vu? That meant they were related, somehow. She knew she had a lot of relatives in the pride, but she rarely met them beyond her siblings and her cousins from Uncle Obadias.
The boy did kinda look like he could fit into her family, so maybe this was another cousin? Interesting…
