After her little stumble, Kati righted herself and set her eyes on the finish line. This was it, her big moment! The young lioness gathered her strength and began sprinting as hard as she could. She had a straight shot down through the finish line, and she shot across it, laughing triumphantly. She'd come in second! It wasn't first, but it was still great! She had shown her strength and determination and come in second, even with her late start! The proud cub proceeded to flop down in the mud next to the white and purple cub. "Congratulations," she panted out, figuring she might as well be a good sport.
