wait, i didn't think that rams went with tetras, i thought they ate tetras..... all Cichlids do, even angels

Not all cichlids do anything. Angels are more on the aggressive side. Rams are considered peaceful and you can keep them with many different community fish.

She leaves the Tetras alone, and the Tetras leave her alone. With most fish, if it fits in their mouths, its food. With larger Cichlids, if it can be bullied to death, and is less then 1/2 its size, its food rolleyes Rams are generally very god community fish. smile

Rammy update! Yay! Currently battling fungus among the Neons. Ram is so far, and will hopefully remain, untouched by it. I've lost 1/2 of my Neons, and am down to 5. The Ram is looking like a male at this point. The 2nd ray of its dorsal fin is starting to grow longer, and the blue dots that showed through the black spots are no longer there. His colors are getting better every day, and he loves his algae wafers rofl New pics are here!   For some reason, his gorgeous blue doesnt show up in these pics! D= But it show in the vid I'll have as soon as YouTube stops being stupid.

He is gorgeous!! Once upon a time I had 3 rams, but one by one they died sad Little did I know that they aren't too fond of young tanks. I wish you all the best of luck with him!

My tank is by no means old, buts not really newly set up. Even still, he's doing great, even through a fungus treatment that I have lost over 1/2 of my Neon Tetras to, he's still going strong, great colors, loves to eat, etc, so he came from great stock 3nodding

I just got 2 females today, and I am in search of a male, not one store in my town has a male.
