Name: Tirol'itan Meaning: Song son Personality: Tirol seems to have taken more to the lighthearted side of things, preferring to see the silver lining; this also makes him somewhat of a wimp, as he's always happy to cave in at someone's else's request. In fact, the cub seems to have a penchant for ignoring his own wishes at the behest of someone else's, be it helping them with their problems while ignoring his own, or allowing someone to eat from his hunt's prize first because they claim to be starving; as such, too much giving makes him prone to bouts of depression. Otherwise he's a bit naive and rather weak physically, but his heart tries to be in the right place anyway.
Tirol is also drawn to the arts like a thirsty lion to water, particularly singing. Unfortunately, the cub does not have the best ear for notes! He is capable of creating lyrics and a beat, but the song itself seems to escape him. He also has a few issues denoting colors, particularly red and green - but he doesn't like to reveal that, as he feels he's already got enough penalties on his man card without adding more. Tirol'll always feel a certain jealousy for his more active and stronger siblings (especially the one who ends up becoming Taruk next), but it's rare for that to visibly manifest. He does, however, feel like he has to work harder than most to prove to his father that he's not a total loss in the "manly department". Future Rank & why: Artisan ;; he can't seem to rustle a violent act out of himself, even when playing, and is naturally drawn towards ceremonial acts and rituals anyway. This is assuming someone manages to get him to learn to sing properly - if not, he might assume the role of a priest to avoid becoming an embarrassment of a hunter (which he feels would be an insult to his father). Prompt number: #4 Prompt response:
Another day with Loreyn and Koren, another pawful of bruises on his body from falling, another early retirement to the den.
How do they do it? Tirol thought with a sigh as he shuffled his way onward, having said his goodbyes a few minutes before. Shouldn't I be able to keep up? I'm older!
The cub could still hear their encouragements and teasing from the excursions ringing in his ears. Really, it had been fun, he told himself to keep the darker emotions at bay. Tree-surfing could be accomplished given time and practice. It just seemed like between Koren and Loreyn's own skills, he was a third wheel . . . But, Tirol added with a grimacing smile, Father would be proud of him, no, taking to the trees like that. I introduce Koren to her, so I helped . . . That's something, yes?
Yes, he told himself. Of course it was. He was useful. His body, however, begged to differ as it ached with every movement. The den was not far now, but every second felt like a minute - he took short breaths to avoid straining the bruises further.
Why third wheel? Tirol had befriended Loreyn over their mutual behavior of not always joining in on the rough games their siblings engaged in. She had first shown him the game of tree-surfing not long after, and while Tirol was no natural at it and often was hurt, he enjoyed simply doing so with a friend. Having his brother around, though, was slowly tainting that - a game was suddenly looking like a competition, whether or not Koren meant it to be.
But why be possessive over one friend? He could make others right? It was silly to continue the line of thought, and Tirol shook his head of the clouding emotions as slowly, he climb up the tree and into the hammock. "Oel ngati kameie, eywa," the cub said, smiling as he saw his mother curled up, perhaps ready for a nap.
"Oel ngati kameie," Juubeihlee answered in kind softly, as if she had been roused from a light sleep. "And how fares your day?"
"Well . . . Can I talk about it after a nap?" Tirol asked, hiding a wince as best he could as he crawled under his mother's paw. "Koren will have a better story than I anyway." Perhaps he would be in a better mood after sleeping it off.
Plot ideas: Voice Lessons: If someone else who is aspiring to be a singer or is one already could try to help him, Tirol would anxiously cling to them for support. Whether or not this works can be worked out with the other person.
Bravery? But I'm already a Scardey Cat! Tirol'itan would need more courageous friends to offset his own rather meek personality, and perhaps these lions could drag him along on their exploits? He would be the voice of "I have a bad feeling about this" as well as the probably target for pranks, though at least he's usually a good sport about it.
Continuing Relationships: I would love to Tirol to have a bond of some sort with most if not all of the cubs from both his and Kayn's family, be it friendly, romantic, or a rivalry. For sure it would be fun to continue developing the one with Loreyn’txon, wherever that ends up. He would be interested in her at the least due to the connection the pride has with white and being a pure spirit - he would feel that perhaps she would understand his inner conflicts as a struggling artisan who wants to please a warrior father.
Meeting Primitus: This could be a great way to help boost his confidence if he meets his grandfather!
Aiding in Ceremonies: He'd try to shadow the lions taking care of the next ceremony, trying to understand the rituals and putting his own flair into it. How many na'vi do you have? 0
Phrase Used: "I see you"
Additional: Since it wasn't really answered in the prompt, Tirol isn't sure where he is in the grand scheme of things. Thus he would gravitate towards those sure in their goals in hopes of being inspired to solidify his own.
