Tuli had started to worry.  It'd been quite some time since he'd last seen Aisling, and he was starting to worry.  Trotting towards the pride's border, he was trotting across the line, over and over, nervous and terrified.  Would she come today?  He'd waited so many times for her.....And he'd even left Tavar back in the den they'd been sharing the past few nights to come see if she would be here....

Aisling had been terrified. She'd waited...but apparently, his seed hadn't taken. And she was terrified that maybe...maybe it wouldn't. That thought terrified her, because she was willing to risk everything for him. In the time she'd waited to determine whether or not she was pregnant, she'd figured out how she might stay with him. In his pride. And told her brother and Rohodamu. And now...she'd finally worked up the nerve to see Tuli again. To tell him that she wasn't pregnant this time, and that she'd figured out a way for her to stay.

His nose turned up in the air, and his eyes widened, as he scented, "Aisling!"  His tail flicked, and he crossed the border, nervous, tentative.  Was his nose playing tricks on him?  Really? "Aisling?  Is that you?"  Tulivu was terrified that his mind was teasing him with his lover's scent.........or that she was there, but telling him she was leaving...

Aisling's ears perked up when she heard Tuli's voice and she turned to move towards him, smiling slightly. "It's me, Tuli." She couldn't lose her nerve. She was part of the Clan of Mar, and she would need every scrap of nerve to be able to pull this off for the rest of her life.

The full grown male ran to her, twining his body around hers, licking her ear, and purring like a contented cub.  His blue eyes closed, and he nuzzled her, "I've been waiting for you..."  He whispered, "I was hoping you'd come back....What's wrong?"  He had to ask....There must have been something, if she sounded like that....Her voice gave it away, and that barely slight smile on her maw.....he recognized it..."Are you hurt?"

Aisling nuzzled into him, the feel of him so near reminding her of why she was doing this. For him. "I'm not hurt. Our last meeting...I'm not pregnant. But..." She took a breath. "I want to stay, Tuli. With you." Though it was for him, it was the one thing in her life that SHE wanted like nothing else. She wanted to be beside him, even if it meant lying about something.

His throat caught, and he stared at her, "It's okay....that you're not pregna-"  Then she said that she wanted to stay with him....here...in the Pride, "You....want to join the Aikanaro'hini?"  He sounded nervous, "I would love that...but it will be a hard life.  You'll have to find what rank you fit in,....and....do you have a Demon?"

Aisling looked down. "I know it will be hard...And..." She wouldn't lie to HIM. Never to him. "I do not. But I can pretend. There is one name that I claim besides my own, one I can utter without thinking." She knew it was risky...but she wanted to stay with him. She didn't want to forever come and go.

He took a breath, but those blue eyes calmed, and he gently licked her ear, before wrapping a paw over her shoulder, and sighing happily, "I would love you to stay with me, Aisling.  I was really eager to see you again.  There is....ah....someone you'll need to meet though..." He flushed under his fur, and he purred softly at her.

Aisling smiled, looking to Tuli again in relief. That he didn't mind...it made her heart soar. His bit about needing to meet someone, however..."Who?" Was there someone else? Though it was a reality, with the fact she'd been gone...it still made her a little terrified.

"Just....follow me."  He murmured, "And stay close to me."  He led her onto the pride's lands, leading her for the cave he'd been sharing with Tavar, "Remember....you must pretend with this other.....I don't think....He'd be too fond of a non-demon on the Aikanaro lands."  That was shortly before they made it to the cave, and he trotted inside, "Tavar?"

Aisling nodded, nervous...but she didn't let it show. So now began the masquerade...She was Aisling...but she was Mar as well, from here on out.

Tavar yawned, opening an eye.
Eh? "Something wrong, Tuli?" And...there was an extra scent with Tuli, one he didn't recognize.

"Remember that female I told you about?"  He asked, moving in to lick his other mate's head, "The one I fell for?  The one I was trying to have cubs with.?"  He gestured with his tail to her, hoping she'd come in.....Oh god....he was so nervous.

Tavar nodded. He remembered...and then Aisling walked into the den, nervousness in her eyes. Well! At least Tuli had had the sense to fall for someone all black! Though...he found himself a bit jealous. Not that he would ever say so. "Ah...so this is the mystery girl." Aisling nodded to Tavar, uncertain. Who...was this?

"I am Aisling."

He moved to her side, licking at her ear gently, and giving Tavar a shy, nervous smile....Oh gods...he would have to make this okay somehow. "Aisling has....found her inner Demon...and I'd like her to stay."  He looked down, taking a deep breath, "But....I'd like you to stay too....." He murured, "...Please.....You must understand.....I love you both...so much....and...this is not....so...unusual..." Oh gods.  This sounded so bad.

Tavar looked Aisling over more carefully, the female shifting to look more regal. And then he nodded. "Meh. We can make it work. She's not half-bad to look at." Aisling frowned and snorted. She was willing to make it work for Tuli but...this Tavar would have to learn some manners!

"I'll have you know my looks aren't everything." Heck, she rarely even thought about her looks beyond being presentable.

A paw pressed over his mouth, and he laughed softly, amused by the way his two mates were acting, "Aisling....He tends to try to get under a lion's skin.  Moving to Tavar, he purred, nuzzling him, "Don't upset her too badly, Tavar.  I do love her too, you know."  He looked to her once more, though, "There are a few things you need to know of the Pride though.....in order for this to be easier.  Shall we walk so I can explain to you?"

Tavar smirked as Aisling looked a bit...affronted. But she'd deal. If he tried getting under other's skins...well, she'd make it hard for him! Tavar chuckled and turned his smirk to Tuli. "Of course, of course." Aisling gave Tavar a small glare, than looked back to Tuli and nodded.

"That sounds like an idea."

HE shook out his pelt, and licked at Tavar's ear again, "It's still bright daylight, Tavar.  Go back to sleep.  You have work with my mother in the early evening if I remember right.  I'm just going to explain to Aisling the rules of the pride."  Was this really going to work?

Tavar groaned, nodding and hiding his head under his paws. "I remember quite well." He was going to get used as an example. He could already feel the bruises that would inevitably end up under his pelt...Aisling smiled slightly at the oddly childish way Tavar was acting. Hm...perhaps he wasn't too bad.

He laughed, "You know mother won't go easy on you now that we're...together."  He took her from the cave as he said that, leading her to the MIDST of the Pride, to make sure they were away from other lions, "The first rule....the name of your Demon is for you to know.....A name holds power....and it is dangerous for you to tell another your demon name.  Second....we actually sleep during the day, and are awake in the evening."  Sitting by the edge of the lake, he smiled at her, "Third....The pride has two factions, but that will explain itself.  The most important part is finding out what you want to do here."
