[duel] New beginnings ( Boda and Canicus )

What a weak way to end the duel! He scowled, about to give her an ear full when suddenly she was flying into him, nuzzling him! Nuzzling! He was shocked, and confused and... maybe she was bipolar? One day she hated him and the next day she was... well it wasn't that weird if he thought about it, she had her really flirtatious moments... but still. This was... a little intimate considering they'd just learned each other's names, no?

He still couldn't help the deep, rumbling purr from his chest as he stayed very still, unsure if he should return the action or not. Stupid male. Definitely not... she was in a weird mood and... oh. It was the wound, she was worried about the wound. He gently backed away, leaning down so he could look her in the eye. "Hey.. I'm alright, I've gotten worse.." He said softly, before she asked about who won.

He cleared his throat and looked away at this, tail flicking. She was even going to make him admit it in this manner? "Er, you did." Despite a weak finale, she had definitely won the sparring match.

 

[Pink Myth]

She couldn't help but laugh a little when he finally admitted she had won. She could have sworn he won but then she was also high distracted with the wound. She thought a moment before looking to him. "Tomorrow and for many sunrises after I want you to meet me here at first light. Understood? We really need to work on your dueling skills." she teased him before she got to her feet.

"Hungry?" she asked before walking off towards the pride to get a well deserved meal.

He blinked and struggled not to growl when she spoke, knowing that her words were teasing but still finding sudden and surprising offense to them. He needed to work on his dueling skills? Maybe she just hadn't liked hearing that from him when they'd first met... but it had been true! Look how much she'd improved! Maybe he was thinking too much about what it meant? He cleared his throat and nodded once, to keep from saying something he might later regret.

It was... odd how swiftly just a word from the female could change his emotions as quick as lightening. With a flash he'd turned from embarrassed, warm and slightly aroused to... angry and feeling foolish with himself. Still, he'd have to show her just how much they needed to 'work' on his skills. He rose and moved after her, tail flicking. It was only then that he realized... meet with her every morning? Every morning... she hadn't specified when this would end. Which wasn't unfair, or against their terms... but what did it mean exactly? Part of him strongly wanted to believe that Bodair had an interest in him, thats what her actions seemed to point at... but another point of his mind wanted to ward off those thoughts and wanted to warn him that thinking that way was a mistake. She was a very confusing lioness... but he was just going to assume all lionesses were confusing.

He would need advice from his sister, probably. He picked up his pace to catch up to the female, vaguely wondering what the future would bring.
