Seraphina was an adult now, she had fully grown into her once lanky and awkward figure, she was no longer a teen, she was an adult, however she wasn't quiet yet able to do all that she would have liked when it came to her job as a medic. Ea was strict, and even though an adult, a young one but non the less an adult, she still had to go about most of her same jobs as she did when she was an apprentice, however she had a few more responsibilities. She was able to patch up others much more often, she was able to take care of some small sicknesses. It was a lot more than what she was able to do a while ago. She could do much, much more. Which to her was one of the most exciting parts of her life. She was so, so excited, she was going to be able to soon go to do more and more, but it was a waiting game. Not only that but it was a lot of hard work.
That hard work included going out during the day and trying to find as many supplies as she could.That was part of her plan today. she knew there was no point in checking in with Ea before going out and doing that. She knew that it would be much better to gather them before showing up. That was always the better plan. Or at least so she had learned. She would rather do that now before she even thought about checking in anymore. She would rather get everything then come back. She would grab her pouch out of her den and then head out. And that was what she was doing. Her pouch was slung around her shoulders and she stepped out of her den, letting her eyes adjust. The sun was slowly starting to rise. She slept in a little but it was hard to find anything before the sun rose. There were times where she knew that it would take longer together and Ea might be upset because she wouldn't be there right away. She was hoping to get it done quickly today.
She flicked her tail around behind her and she started to trot toward a good place to start. She not only to hoped to find what she wanted quickly but ot also find a lot of it. she had a large pouhch at this point, over time she got bigger and bigger ones, carefully crafted them herself. she didn't like the one that Ea had laying around the medic's den. She trotted as quickly as she possibly could to the cactus bushes. She took a deep breath in before then moving a little to start digging in the cactus free sands where she knew she could find the roots that she wanted. It was an odd sight to see, this lonely lioness out digging near the cacti and stuffing them in a bad, her paws and her nose covered in dirt, and although it didn't look that enjoyable and even though she didn't like it as much as her jobs helping people, it was enjoyable. Especially since no was was up during this hour. Or at least... were rarely up during this hour.

 Fari always awoke early each morning, his body eager to feel the sunrise and the quickly rising heat it created. A fireless, firekin, he wouldn’t hide during the night because of his black fur, he would embrace the sun and let his body become stronger and more resistant to the heat. Many a times he was seen as crazy for doing such, but he took them no mind. If they wanted to argue with him, he would outpace them in an instant during a sparring match.
Taking a stroll through the cactus fields in the desert, Fari couldn’t help but enjoy the late blooming flowers. Had he been surer that no animal were around, he might have even took in the scent of one of them. However, there was no time for that. There was a reason he was out here. He meditated early each morning until his body felt completely drained due to the suns heat. Once that feeling came about he would eat the inside of a cactus and go about the rest of his day.
However, once he had set upon the spot he normally frequented, Fari was taken by surprised. A lioness was already occupying his spot. Her face completely dirt filled and unsightly for being such. Frowning at his luck, the very large, muscular male made way to the lioness. His head held high and a bold aura encompassing him.
“What brings you here?”
This was all he had left for himself. If he wasn’t allowed this bit of peace to bring his body into working order… he would surely go mad. What with the drought, the refugees and the constant bickering from heightened aggression throughout the pride. All he wanted and needed, was a bit of time alone.

Seraphina was surprised at the sound of another's voice. She was extremely surprised really. She wasn't expecting another to be coming her way. Not only that but she was surprised to really find some one up this early. After being surprised she felt a little embarrassed, she was covered in dirt and she knew it. She also knew that it didn't really blend into her at all when it came to her coat color. It must have stuck out a lot. She flicked her tail around behind her and lifted one more root and stuffed it into the shack. "Hello there!" She greeted, in almost a squeak, before she used a paw to wipe some of the dirt off of her face. Sera never really knew what to do in front of males. It was a territory that she never really was in often. Talking to males that is, and when she did it was normally to try to keep them calm while Ea fixed them up... Or as they would say "Bullied" them.
"Well," The lioness started as she looked at the holes that she was digging before motioning to them with her paws. "We do a root... rotation of sorts." She then realized as she was explaining the male probably had no idea what she was talking about at all. "I'm a medic, and I have to come out and dig for roots." She started to explain a little more before then nodding, she enjoyed her job, she also enjoyed explaining it. "We haven't used this cactus area in a while so it should be good and full of the roots that we want to get." She explained again before arching a brow to him and laughing a little. "Uh, I'm surprised anyone is even awake right now. What brings you out here?" She asked him in return, she was in fact very curious. She was also curious of who she was, she never seen him before.

Did she... did she just squeak at him? Staring at her with a half disgusted, half confused look, Fari couldn't even summon up the appropriate words to say to her. What was up with this lioness? Yes, he realized that the opposite gender was insane, but this was... This one took the buzzard. Dirt filled face, squeaky, and she seemed to be shy. No that wasn't right, oblivious? No... He couldn't quite describe it. It was at the tip of his brain, but that wasn't exactly helping him.
"Umm..." Being a social introvert, the Fari had trouble connecting with others, to be thrown into the battle field of verbal speech with a crazy woman. Yeah, that would fair well. "You are dirty... and unsightly because of it. I can't look passed it. Clean yourself, then we can..." Pausing, he pondered what to call what they were going to do. yes, it was conversing, but this was something else. She had been talking his ear off. Should he call it annoying? Would they annoy each other? That sounded right.
"Then we can annoy each other about the details." Trying his best to grin at her. His attempt looking more like an awkward snarl, he waited for her reply. He could even help her clean up. Should he offer? Was that the right thing to do? Sure, it couldn't hurt.
"I can even help. Dirt... doesn't taste good but that won't stop me from making you look a bit better." Sitting awkwardly as he waited, he thought of all the strange things one could do with roots. The last time he had tired any his tongue was numb. How was that helpful?

The shy lioness was a little upset she could see the odd look on his face. She didn't know what to think about it. Did he not like her? What did she do? She was so awkward when it came to dealing with other lions. And boys, forget about it she was even worse if it was a boy. She didn't want the lion that she had just met thinking that she was strange. She shuffled her feet and then laughed a little nervously at the lion's comment to how she looked. "Yeah, uh, the biggest downside to this." She commented simply, she looked down at her paws, she was just generally covered with dirt.
He offered her to help clean her off and she thought about it. Well she had no idea of what to think about it really. The last time she was ever cleaned off was by her mother a long time ago. She stared at the male. What do you answer to that. "If you really want," she started, she was trying to figure out an other way. She shifted herself before laughing a little nervously. "I would say we could go to the watering hole but it isn't exactly right around the corner from here." It was really across to the other side of the pride. She smiled shyly before moving closer to the male and sitting back on her haunches so she was comfortable, she lowered her neck allowing her pouch to settle on to the ground and then she looked at him. "I'm Seraphina... What is your name by the way?" She asked curiously, she thought she should know his name... If he was going to be cleaning off her face that is. She was awkward enough when it came to dealing with others, she didn't understand how she could get into another awkward situation like this.

What was up with this shuffling thing, did he really make her feel that nervous? Scowling at her paws, the lion just decided to chalk it up to her not being from the pride. Otherwise, this behavior was damned weird. No firekin would get so shy around of its own kin. Pondering on his ideas, Fari took that back. He was the same way sort of. He just avoided others though, why bother messing with another when he could just as easily learn and fight by himself.
"Dirt?" Questioning her response to him, he just waited for her to reply. What was wrong with dirt? As long as she kept it from covering her it was actually very useful. Better than a bunch of stones.
Cocking his head at the nervous laugh, Fari just stared, waiting. Of course he would do it, he had offered, whether he wanted to or not. He rather see her less... messy. "...and the water very low right now as well." That was something he SO did not want to endure. The wrath of many just because he wanted to clean a dirty lioness up.
Eyeing the large pouch that lay between them, Fari remained silent for more than what seemed normal, then without warning, looked up. "Seraphia. I am Fariwuta."

Seraphina shrugged when the male mentioned that the water was low. It was true however she knew that it happened some times. It was a little easier to just get the dirt off that way but if the male insisted. Really she was just shy that was all to it. she never knew what to do when it came to males and not only that but she wasn't really that sure of how to handle others. It was always odd to her. Really other than her family and an occasional other that she would talk to as she patched up she only delt with Ea.Most of the time really Ea just bossed and pushed her around and Sera would do what the older lioness would tell her to do. So this encounter was pretty new to her. "You are right." she commented simply.
"Well it is very nice to meet you Fariwuta, and you can call me Sera, most do." And again it was awkward, she was waiting for him to start cleaning off her face. She laid down getting comfortable, it was normally easiest to clean another when they were laying down. She waited and looked up at him. well so far this was just.. Awkward.

"I know." He confirmed, not caring if it sounded a bit rude or arrogant. She knew he was right and he knew it as well. They could agree on something. That always helped matters and situations that involved conversation. Agreements.
As she rambled about meetings and what to now call her after giving her full name, Fari couldn't help but blink. Repeatedly. What was this lioness on about? Couldn't she just be quiet for a little bit and let him think? Growling softly in annoyance, the dark coated lion decided to circle around the crazy lioness, getting a good look at her body and seeing if there was any dirt elsewhere.
"Ready? You seem clean everywhere else except your paws... and those you can do yourself I assume."
Sitting in front of Seraphina, Fari began without any other warnings. Licking quickly, almost roughly at first, then softer as he got the hang of it. The dirt that slowly became mud in his mouth made him want to gag, but she seemed to be getting better looking as it came off. Perhaps there was something pretty under the gobs of dirt.

Seraphina was a little surprised at his rude comment. She wasn't exactly expecting it. She didn't say anything though, she bit her tongue and let whatever was going on happen. She didn't know what to say to the lioness, she just sat quietly. He seemed to be an interesting lion she wasn't sure what to think of him. She felt awkward, like a child almost, his growl made her feel even worse. But she didn't now what to say to him, she had no idea really. She waited a few moments before the lion started to speak once again. "Yeah, ready." She then glanced down at her paws. "Yeah I can do them myself."
She was surprised as the male started to lick her. She closed her eyes tightly letting the male clean off her face. But out of her silence she spoke a little quietly. "thank you." She said commenting before thinking a little more preparing to say something else. She took a breath in and help it for a few seconds before mentioning something else to the male. "I'm very sorry if I annoyed you, I'm not that great with dealing with others." She told him taking a few seconds before flicking her tail around behind her. She fell slient again. She was confused if she annoyed the male so much she didn't understand why the male was sticking around to clean off her face. He could have just left. He was giving her different signs and she was so confused. She wanted to say more but she didn't want to annoy him anymore. She thought she might if she kept going and there was no way that she wnated to do that. Not at all.

Once he was done, Fari moved away from Seraphina. His cold blue eyes inspected each and every part of her face to make sure he hadn't missed any dirty brown spots. Once happy with his work, his eyes lit up.
"All done, and you are welcome. You should keep yourself cleaner. Now you actually look nice."
Eyeing the sky, Fari started to move away from the lioness, suddenly turning back to stare at her. "Stop rattling on about your faults... and I might be fine with you coming with me." Pausing where he was for a few more moments just so the words could sink into her system, he start back to moving forward. With, or without a new friend in tow.

Seraphina looked at the male, she was pretty surprised he said that she looked nice, she really had never been told before that she looked nice. She blinked a few times staring off almost before that was until she heard him speak again.
She almost jumped before smiling shyly at him and stood up and nodded in his direction. "alright." She laughed quietly before she started to follow him, she thought about it for a moment before she was very happy to follow him. This new friend was interesting but she could see that he could be a good friend.
