"Strange," Kasi said slowly, still suspicious. "Xennek never mentioned you." Not that Kasi and he spoke at long lengths about their lives, but still, if he had been 'together' with this female for such a long time, surely he would have mentioned it? Especially during her whole pregnancy 'Kakek is a JERK' phase (which wasn't really a 'phase', more of a life choice).
Knowing she had already given away the fact she knew Xennek, she said simply, "he did make it somewhere safe." She still didn't quite believe the female though.
"If what you say is true, then Xennek should be glad to see you."

Kirimi held her tongue, and ran through a list of possible responses. “I’m sure he will be.” She grinned impishly, with just enough fakeness in it to look giddy. In reality, she knew he would most likely curse the very ground she walked upon as soon as he laid eyes upon her.
She passed her fellow Firekin, walking with a determined limp into the pridal lands. “Are you coming? Or do you plan on standing there all day?” She tossed over her shoulder. After all, what new member didn’t need an escort?
