Mirsajadi
Mirsajadi stepped away from Aylin, still breathing heavily from the activity they'd been engaged in moments before. There were some days when Mirsajadi wondered why he even bothered, but he enjoyed the physical act of sex and so he kept at it, even though there had so far been no sign that he would be a father any time soon.

The earth seemed to move beneath his feet and he stumbled. Things hadn't been that good, he thought as he began to sicken. The familiar blackness came around the edges of his vision in readiness to engulf him completely. Soon he would begin to seize and then he would be held in the grips of a vision.

"Aylin," he said as calmly as possible. "I'll need water."

And then the seizure began and he blacked out, twitching and shaking.

Aylin
Aylin was laying breathless on the ground. She got so caught up when they did this, that it always took her a few minutes to come back to 'reality' as she would say it. Stretching rather lazily, the girl finally got to her paws and sighed. Looking over to the male, her golden eyes watched as he stumbled and her brows knit together. He was usually so graceful no matter what they had been doing.

When he spoke, she got up. Water? Tilting her head to the side, she would watch him for a few more moments before nodding. "Water? Alright, I'll be right.." But before she could finish her words, her pad fell to the ground and started shaking. Moving with lightening speed, the girl let out a worried noise and moved over to him, trying to pin him to the ground so he wouldn't hurt himself. What was happening to him? This had never happned before.

"Mirsajadi! Mir... Stop it!" Her voice was panicked and she started looking around. No one would be around, naturally, because she and him took precautions so no one would find them. "Gods, what do I do?! Snap out of it!"

Mirsajadi
Pain. There was always pain. Some lions he had spoken to, those who also received visions, said it may be because he tried so hard to deny his visions that it actually caused him pain. Mirsajadi didn't know about that. Part of the reason he tried to deny them was because they hurt so much, which made it seem less likely that the pain was a result of the denial, rather than a cause.

This time was no exception. The pain shot through Mirsajadi, bursting from his skull down his spine and to his limbs and extremities, causing the twitching which was so distressing Aylin. Seasons of experience had taught him to keep his teeth tightly clamped together, even when unconscious, to keep himself from biting off part of his tongue or crying out. Crying out would only alert someone else to his condition, which was a fate he felt would be worse than death.

The vision came unbidden, as they always did, and in such a swirling, spinning kaleidoscope of images and colors that it was difficult to make sense of the bedamned thing. Usually in Mirsajadi's visions there was a central figure or event he was supposed to be noticing, but this vision refused to show him anything even that concrete. All he felt was that something very bad was going to happen, and there would be a lot of lions involved.

Aylin
Aylin stayed on him, praying this ended soon. She didn't know what was happening. Never before had the pale lioness come across anyone who did this. And to have someone so close to her start randomly twitching like this.. Was he sick?

Tears rolled down her cheeks. All she could do she was doing for him now, or so she felt. This wasn't how this was supposed to end. It never ended like this before! "Mir.. come on, stop!" She moved her front paws to his face, gripping his cheeks as best as she could so he wouldn't keep hitting his head on the ground. What to do? Would mom or dad know what to do ? She wished they were here now.

Mirsajadi
One of the only nice things that could be said about Mirsajadi's visions was that they did not tend to last very long. This was undeniably fortunate for the young pad, since the violence of his visions' onset was extreme and any prolongment of their duration probably would have killed him in his youth. As it was, he still ran the risk of fairly severe self-injury when the visions came on with particular force.

After less than a minute Mirsajadi's world turned black again as the vision faded and he was left dizzy and weak, with a spitting headache. Light and sound would be excruciating for him for several hours, he knew from experience, and if life were fair he would vomit and then be able to drink water to cleanse his mouth.

Maybe Aylin had done as he'd asked and brought him some. The sounds of distress that his hypersensitive ears picked up on did not indicate that she had done so, however, and that was really too bad. Mirsajadi hated the taste of vomit and knew that in a few moments he would be tasting it without any way to get rid of it. Ugh.

And then... "Hurk...Ulgh...Ack!"

Ah, breakfast.

Aylin
When the jerks had subsided, the fretting girl sniffled and watched him. She climbed off of him once she and sniffled hard. She didn't know what kind of pain he was in, how could she? After all, Aylin had never seen a seizure before today. When he turned his head , she thought he was going to get up, but something else happned. Wrinkling her nose, she sighed and went to fetch a big leaf full of water. Often did she save leaves for things like this. Usually, she would have gotten some before their activity because sex made her thristy as well, but she didn't do it.

Leaving him alone for a few moments, she returned. "I have water..." She spoke softly, like always, but she was nervous. It was read in her voice, all on her face and in her movements. She then used the sand to cover the vomit and rolled him to the opposite side, gently, where she had placed the water. "Drink, Mirsajadi..

Mirsajadi
Mirsajadi had no desire to open his eyes, and so he was grateful, just this once, that Aylin had made it easier for him to find the water without having to do so. He would probably keep his eyes shut for as long as he possibly could to make sure he'd given himself as much of a chance to recover from his vision as he could. There was nothing like the blinding pain of light on his eyes after a vision came.

"My thanks," he murmured. His voice was not smooth and honeylike. Instead it was tight and pained still. The pain in his body would not fade completely for some minutes yet, and the pain in his head would probably linger for hours.

When he had rinsed his mouth, spat out the befouled water, and then lapped up some more to drink, Mirsajadi composed himself into a less undignified position, his eyes still closed, and listened around him to determine where Aylin was, if she was still around at all. He needed to be sure she wouldn't say anything to anyone about what she'd seen just now. He preferred to keep his visions a secret.

"It would be best if you mentioned this to no one."

Aylin
She had stayed right there by him. Aylin was worried about her friend. Even if they weren't lovers in a traditional way, she cared enough about him to call him a friend. Sighing softly she just couldn't bring herself to walk away from him. What if it happened again? She wanted to cry when he spoke. Her ears went flat and she just lightly nosed his cheek. Half because she wanted to see if he was running a fever and half because she didn't know how else to calm herself down.

Swallowing again when he spoke, Aylin nodded. "...I won't tell anyone." She kept secrets. It was her role in life. Everyone confided in her because she was an airhead and they think she would forget that anyway. They just needed to get something off their chest and spoke to her. "...What was that?"

Mirsajadi
Still shaking very slightly in his paws and tail, Mirsajadi tucked the former under his body and wrapped the latter tightly around his body so that the infirmity would not show.

"I have visions," he began to explain. "And they come upon me violently. It is nothing to be concerned over, apparently. It is merely distressing to see. Or so I have been told and cannot help believing."

He lapped up a little more water and his throat was soothed. His voice would be more like it usually was, and that would please him. He did not like that the pained screams he silenced, never allowing them to pass his throat, left his voice raw and rough. He was vain of his voice, perhaps foolishly so for a pad.

"As you can see, it's nothing worth mentioning."

Aylin
She just watched him, golden eyes full of emotions that were jumbled up together. Whilst she didn't love this Pad, she considered him a great friend. He'd protected her when she needed it and he had give her more than that. She had a home in a pride she was comfortable with. Mirsajadi was comfortable with her odd speech and lapses of silence that happened often. He was alright with her staring off at othing and then saying something that made no sense. At least, it seemed that way.

Her ears flicked back and forth as she heard his voice closer to what it was usually. It was still a tad raspy, but it didn't sound horrible. Clearing her throat, she nodded again and shrugged. "Fine. If you wish to talk about it you can. I've heard it helps to talk about you problems. Like a big weight lifted off your shoulders. But, you're worried about pride, which is fine." Shifting, she wondered if she should just go back to the pride.

"Do you want me to go?"

Mirsajadi
"That would be best," Mirsajadi said.

He opted to ignore all the rest of what she had to say about unburdening himself. He knew how remarkably light and free a person could feel after revealing their secrets to someone. He had done it once. But he would not do so again. It was too risky. Especially if he chose to reveal his secrets to someone like Aylin, who was nice and well-meaning, but he wasn't certain he could trust her to keep a secret.

"Be safe on the way back," he said. "I'll follow when I'm ready."

Which really meant when he was able, but there were some things a lion just didn't say to his banu. Or to anyone.

Aylin
Aylin nodded a little and just watched him for a little while longer. Sighing when she realized he meant what he said, Aylin let her ears fall before nodding.

"Very well, Mirsajadi. I'll be sure there's a good meal for you when you get back, then..." She let her voice trail off before shrugging. She turned around and slowly started going back towards the den. Well, that was an exciting end to an exciting day now, wasn't it? Lost in feelings and then those feelings just slammed shut in her face. Even if it was just lust or whatever.

Why did she care? They wouldn't ever be in love.
