Anyone else find that some of these reasons apply to you?

I actually rarely abuse my characters. Well I mean, I have some tormented ones, in one way or another, but if they have to feel it I have to feel it, so generally I try to avoid that sort of thing.

Anyway it's not my fault that a couple of them will inevitably kill themselves. That's just the way things worked out. I never sit down and think "right! time to ruin someone's life!".

I had some miserable characters when I was clinically depressed. Oddly enough, I love a few of them the most. Almost got me in trouble though. High school teachers and some psychologists don't understand the purpose of an outlet confused
