Nebel was watching the dragonflies again. She loved to just sit on the edge of the water where they liked to congregate and watch them zoom back and forth. Their wings sparkled even in the low light, grays and reds and oranges and blues and greens. The hum in the air was a lovely sound, and she could easily spend hours just watching them swoop back and forth, dive bombing the water to catch whatever tinier things they ate.
The place wasn't too far from her home, so her mother often let her go off on her own without alot of worry. She didn't venture far away from their home, usually, so the cub was relatively safe inside the land of the pride. Not a whole lot of lions or other cats seemed to like to come into the swamp anyway, or so she had overheard her mother to say once. It was a safe place to live, and Nebel loved it so very much. So far her quest to find spirits wasn't going so well, but she wouldn't give up! They had to be hiding somewhere after all... so it was just a matter of time and searching properly!

Chitrali walked toward the waters intent on relaxing. She could watch the waters for hours, as dragonflies and fireflies danced across the surface and tiny fish skittered about below. She was easily mesmerized and so time flew by while she stretched out enjoying the peace.
Today Chitrali spotted another in the spot which she like to lounge and was curious as to whose cub it was, who was watching the waters. She smiled at the thought of a bit of peaceful company and approached the little one with a smile of her face.
"Hello, little one," she said softly not wanting to scare the poor thing, "have you come to relax as well?"

Nebel squeaked out in surprise when she heard a voice speak to her. Her tail shot straight out and her ears perked forward, then quickly back, towards the voice.
Was a spirit talking to her?! Had she finally found one?!
The small white and pale blue cub whirled around, excited and afraid at the same time. She was somewhat sad to see that it wasn't a spirit who had spoken to her, but a whit and sunshine colored lioness instead. Nebel blushed at her mistake.
"H-hello... I... uhm, yes I like to watch the dragonflies.... I try to catch them.... sometimes...." She dipped her head, looking at her paws, toeing with one tiny claw at the soft moist ground.
How could she have mistaken the lioness for a spirit? Oops... well... when she didn't know what to look for, and she wanted to find one so bad... maybe it was understandable. All Nebel knew was that she felt embaressed, and to the lioness, well, it probably didn't seem like there was any reason why.
