User ImageName: Paesan'Lati
Sex: Female
Mate: ---
Parents: ---
Siblings: Randar'Reik
Seer: No (Believes self to be one, however!)
Pride/Pack: Mlima Tuokoa

Items: Headdress of feathers, gems and bone, collar of feathers, bone and gems, bloodied paw print paint.

Personality: Paesan'lati is a lost half, wandering alone, blind to the world around her. She is slightly manic in that she believes herself to be a Seer, and she does seem to be able to make rather accurate predictions, but there is no discernible truth to her claims. Eerie, often speaking in the third person, or as though there are multiple versions of herself, Paesan'lati is often left to her own devices as many are unnerved by her unblinking stare, and cold way of dissecting situations.

History
The Saint watched over the Sinner; the Sinner over the Saint. A seer of great power, and a killer to the core; unlikely companions that somehow seemed drawn to one another, sharing in a pact that intertwined their very blood. They were not sisters, to all ends of the word. They were companions, in a way, perhaps even lovers. They stayed together for the fact of being together. They thrived in the other's company, lost when the other was gone, uncontrollable in their absence. The Saint brought the Sinner release; the Sinner eased the suffering of the Saint. They needed each other like they needed the air to breathe, and food to sustain their bodies. They were inseparable because it was necessary for them to be together. They could live no other way, and thus, their story began.

-----

It was a stormy night that brought them into the world. They were cubs born to the same Pride, to different mothers, brothers as their fathers, the strongest males that lead their hareem of female followers. One was pale, the other dark, and the Brothers split their hareem in much the same way. Those of light colouration were the pride of the Light One, those of dark colouration were the love of the Dark One. They shared their lands with many prey-creatures, and they thrived well. The two cubs, both the lone offspring of their respective mothers, were near identical, in colour contrast, which sparked interest from the Pride's Shamanistic Elder. She claimed to have foreseen these spotted youngsters, identical but for their colour. She pledged that one would not live without the other, and that whilst one became powerful in the way of magic and her seer abilities flourish, the other would become the most feared killer the land had ever known, claws and teeth drawn to the taste of her kin. The Brothers scoffed. These were but mere females, little cubs that were unlikely to become anything but bloodline to them. They disregarded the Shamanistic Elder's words, to their peril, so she claimed.

The Elder watched them, watched them grow and together become strong. They were the fiercest pair the Pride had witnessed within their number for any years, the last being the Brothers. The smaller, pale female with her affection for crystals and gems witnessed things before they happened, and every time, they came true, regardless of what others did to change the future she had predicted. Her crystalline blue eyes seemed to look straight into the soul and shred from the mind all thoughts and feelings. On the other hand, her dark counterpart used her claws, precision and skill developing into a mean killer of their prey. However, she was also brutal in her play with others her age. Her claws struck flesh and cleved it, drawing the blood of her kin. She was admonished plenty, but none of these words seemed to take root in her mind. She happily licked her paws clean from her scuffles with other cubs, but always she was beside her pale counterpart. The Elder laughed herself to sleep many an evening, witnessing these cubs become strong and dangerous as the Brothers mated and gorged themselves without a thought to the danger that creeped up on him.

It was a stormy night, much like that that bore them into the world, that caused the Brothers to sit up and pay attention. The Light One found her, his newest lover, butchered and partially stripped of meat. He called out his brother, the Dark One, to explain this creulty to his heart's love. The Dark One had no answer, for he had not touched a hair on her hind. The Light One was tense, unbelieving, as he buried her remains. Not more then a week later, the newest mate of the Dark One was also found dead, her throat ripped open and her blood near drained completely from her. Her belly was an open wound, her innards spread over the ground in a grotesque pool. The Dark One called out the Light One, and the fight that ensued nearly cost them both their lives. The Elder stopped it, explaining she knew the cause of their heart ache. They followed her, and came across the Saint and the Sinner. The Saint stood above her counterpart, watching the approach of the others of their Pride. The Sinner lay beneath, happily gorging herself on the meat of the Dark One's love. The Brothers cried out in anguish, and swore their deaths. The Saint only smiled, her sharp teeth belying the truth of the situation.

"We know you will fail, Fathers. We know all." She smiled again, and passed an eye over her counterpart, still chewing happily on her lion-meat, unaware of the situation brewing before the pair. "We can no more sate our cravings as we can who we have become. We see your greed, your pride in what you have, and we know we cannot let this continue. We will stop you, Fathers. We are able."

From behind the crowd, raucous laughter lifted high on the wind. The Elder sat there, her mouth gaping, her happiness in the situation etched over her face. The Dark One pushed his way toward her. "I told you, Brothers! I told you this day would come and you ignored me!! Come come! As if you thought me stupid! I See! Just as she Sees! I See what it is she Sees! You will fall!" Her mouth opened again to release that laugh, but before the sound could come to full fruition, her lower jaw was struck from her head with one powerful blow. The Dark One had lost himself in his anger, and he spun to face the two females, as behind him, the Elder flopped forward, eyes surprised. The hareem of females backed away. He growled his malice, and strode forward, his Brother allowing this to happen with a solumn face. He rose his paw to the pale female, when a cold, calculating voice rose from below him.

"We do not recommend that, in your good health, Father." The voice sent chills through him, and he looked down into the blood red eyes of his daughter, the dark female. She was small, but she had simply appeared beside him, as though made of smoke. She just appeared there. "We do not want to come to blows with you, but if it need be, we will kill you." The words were chosen carefully, and her eyes were serious, unblinking, emotionless. When had a lioness of his Pride gone so cold? He lowered his paw, but laughter started to burst forth from his chest.

"You? Kill me?! You must be kidding me!" His laughter turned into a roar, and he lashed down at her with his giant paw, only to hit air. She had moved to his other side, and her teeth and claws sunk into his side, where blood would pump freely and without ceasing. He yeowled, and turned again, lashing out. Again, a shadow, and she was stood before him, before the pale female. Her mouth, face and paws were covered in his crimson life, and he faultered. The Light One watched in horror as she leapt for his face, doing as much damage as possible before leaping away and using teeth and claws to attack another part of her father, another artery, and more pumping blood. The Dark One slowed, unable to get blood around his body fast enough to power his muscles. She was tormenting him, killing him slowly, as was her joy. The pale female was still stood where she had initially been, her crystalline blue eyes empty. The Light One panicked. He had to stop this somehow, as his brother was leveled by the small female and his life stripped from him. He leapt forward, claws extended, and struck his daughter's face, right across the eyes. She yelped, and the growling behind them stopped. He felt a burning pain flare in his side as he stared transfixed on his daughter. She was looking at him, her crystalline blue eyes loosing their colour before him, blood seeping over her face as she looked up at him, her smile smooth as ever.

"We knew you would do that. We expected it. We wanted it. We see you no more, but we can still finish you." She smiled a little broader, and more pain flared in him, as the dark killer stripped him of his life's source, his blood pumping from his arteries. He fell, as his brother before him. The dark female planted herself upon him, sniffed at his meat, and decided he was not a meal fit to eat. The other females of the Pride looked on, shock evident in their faces. Some were heavy with cub, others just returned from birthing. Some were weak with the number of cubs forced on them by their lust-driven leaders, others broken completely and unstable on their feet. They were free. They backed away from the bloodied females, unsure of this new feeling. The newer females, the ones stolen from other Prides, were the first to make the break from the group, running as fast as they could from the scene of such death. They filtered away slowly, until only two were left. The mothers of the two cubs, all that time ago. Looking on the pair, the mothers smiled. One was heavy with cub, and would not make it far before needing to birth. The other had recently had her cubs, but none were live.

"We knew you would do well. We knew it, deep down, that you would succeed where we had failed. We knew." It was in unison, and they moved away from the pair, leaving the Saint and the Sinner to their own demise. They were all free now. Free.

-----

The Sinner watched over the Saint; the Saint over the Sinner. Though one could not see with her eyes, she could See what was coming. The other was dangerous, a ghost that was undisputed as a cold hearted killer. Together they had to be to survive, to be strong and safe. That day, many years before, they had made a pact in their fathers' blood, a pact that would last their lifetimes. They would be together from that moment on, would survive together and beat all that endangered them. The Saint that could See through blind eyes, and the Sinner that killed for the meat of her kin. Neither would ever be accepted elsewhere, and it suited them perfectly. They only needed each other. The Saint would follow the Sinner, the Sinner would save the Saint. They were the perfect opposite, and it was a situation neither could wish otherwise.

User ImageName: Iahmwangaza'macho
Sex: Male
Mate: ---
Parents: Jarkeeva x Kujali
Siblings: Luxe, Villi'tamma, Ushas, Starga'e, Ayofemi, Leivaloa, Hime, Bennu, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?
Seer: ?
Pride/Pack: Tuait-tekem (Dawnwalkers)

Items: Braid behind ear.

Personality: Not a particularly playful cub, with his eyes firmly set on his desired role as an Acolyte with the pride, Iahmwangaza'macho is somewhat of a distanced loner, his mind set firmly on the roles he wishes to take within his pride. Games are lost on him, and many would say he has an old soul within him, his eyes seeming to lack the playful spark of a youngster, and instead holds the glow of one that knows far beyond his means. This solemn, regal air is not wasted on those around him who he deems as childish, and instead, he focuses his attention on those that hold the position he so desires, and those that he needs to impress to get there.

History
The claw was quite insistent upon the armoured shell of the beetle. It refused to extract itself from its curled position, and the claw prodded again, the little life form rolling a fair way before coming to a halt once more. No longer interested, attention diverted, the harasser turned his attention to the desert beyond the temple, and the little beetle took its chance, unrolled, and scurried away before the lion cub could once more turn his attention on it. The pale golden eyes were wide, but emotionless; eyes that seemed unaffected both by the beauty about him, and the boredom that seemed to affect his limbs, their restless twitching unnoticed.

Iahmwangaza'macho huffed a little sigh, eyes turning to the other cubs of his immense litter playing. The nanny was taking care to watch the lonely, self-segregated cub, but knew the male to be a calm and well behaved little cub, so little interest was paid to his solitary musings. The other cubs had dubbed Iahmwangaza'macho as a little bizarre. It was true, he took great pleasure in things that lacked life, and watched from afar the tasked of the Acolytes. He prodded at prey brought to him, inspecting the inner workings of this body that no longer worked. He came to appreciate the way blood flowed, organs shifted to the touch, the smells of decay. These learning processes were more interesting to the cub then the games of his fellows and so he separated himself from them, distanced himself, and learnt the tasks of the Acolytes, and what it would mean to follow his desires.

Today there was no prey, no lifeless creature to inspect; just games. Beetles and bugs were all very well, but in Iahmwangaza'macho's view, they lacked the spirit that made them interesting to look upon, to inspect and identify. They were pretty, and they had many complex forms, but they didn't bleed, didn't have muscles like he did, or his prey and dinner. They were gooey, for lack of a better word! They were crunchy and gooey, and Iahmwangaza'macho didn't like to learn about them, hence why the beetle had escaped unscathed. Plopping his head back down onto his paws, pale golden eyes watched the antics of his siblings. Why did they play so? Did they not see they were childish? Did they not see that there were important things to learn? Sure, they got lessons, but they just wanted to play all the time. Again, that huff, this time more of exasperation. He had an old head on young shoulders, he'd been told. It wasn't exactly something he agreed with though. He had a knowledge thirsty head, a head that refused to be stagnant! It wanted to learn!

The sun crawled slowly across the sky, illuminating the desert. Out there, there were things dying and being born, and Iahmwangaza'macho could not witness it! It infuriated him, and made him long to be an adult, able to strike out and learn, and return with his findings. He prayed to the Gods that they let him grow quickly, so he may start his learning with the Acolytes. He had decided early that this would be his calling. His obsession with the way the body worked seemed only fitting. He would prove useful, he just KNEW it! The beetle returned, and Iahmwangaza'macho used a claw to flick it from the edge of the temple steps he had sat himself upon. It flew through the air, curled up, and then snapped open its carapace to release its wings, and it buzzed off. Golden eyes narrowed in annoyance. His toy had escaped him, and now, once more he was a solitary being on the steps. Standing, he made his way down to where his siblings played, all of them together, and he settled himself to one side, toying idly with a blade of brown grass that had taken root amongst the stones and rocks of the ruins, chewing on it whilst watching the games of his fellows.

One day, he would show them that playing forever and a day was not conducive to success!!
