Cinaed could feel the first rays of the sun shining down onto his fur and he purred with delight. “Hmmm.” He stretched out sleepy muscles and slowly opened droopy eye lids as he recalled the other night. It had been wonderful, a night under the stars the wind blowing wildly cause leaves, branches and other such things to fly in the air. Storms always interested him, it wasn’t like he had a death wish but there was something about the charge in the air during a loud boom or whistle on the wind. Cin eyed the minimal destruction around him with interest. He sure hoped no one was hurt, and if they were it wouldn’t be too bad to heal. He looked down-was…was that sand?

White little eyes took in the sand dunes all around her; it had been some storm last night. From what she heard safe in her home the wind outside had been fierce and she was glad to have had a home to shelter from the nasty winds. One could become blind, dead, or lost forever. Starga’e realized that as she took in the high hills of sand covering the temple, homes, and all sorts of things. The Dawnwalker clan seemed to be losing more and more members every day it seemed. Somber faced she looked back at her still sleeping huge family of 14 if you were to include her parents. Starga’e cautiously stepped further out of her home to do a walk about.

Cinaed had never seen anything like it. It was grainy and hot to the touch almost; good thing his pads protected him from burning. Pale stone were piled on top of one another almost like a half diamond were scattered around the area, some buried by the grainy-stuff and some not. “Huh, interesting enough.” He spoke aloud wondering why he hadn’t run into anyone yet. If he were on a pride’s turf then usually they had others to greet or warn off strangers. Something flickered off to the left and he barely caught it out the corner of his eye. “ Oh.” He let out the shocked exclamation. It was a cub, a female one at that all by herself. “Can you tell me where I am?” He guardedly spoke out waiting for an answer. He took in the somber expression on the young ones face as they eyed each in silence.

Starga’e knew she shouldn’t have wandered out to far but she was curious at the noise coming from some distance to the right. It was a male lion. An adult one who was talking to her waiting for his answer. She paused for a moment debating whether to run off or speak to him. Starga'e was usually a good judge of character and this fellow didn't look too bad but one never knew. It was an easy enough question so she decided to answer him. "Dawnwalker." She lisped out quietly.

"Dawnwalker huh?" He scratched his head in befundlement as he tried to figure out where to go from here. This was unfamiliar territory and to be honest he wasn't a fan of this heat. "Never heard of it." He mumbled under his breath before sighing. "I don't suppose you know the way outta here?" The heat was already making his mane soggy and droopy.

"I'm not surprised as you look like a rogue." Starga'e spoke bluntly still a few feet a way from the male, it was just enough for her to run away incase the male decided any harm. "If you head off that way it will lead back to the rogue lands." She was perfectly in her element as she had known it all her life. The smell of male sweat caused her little nose to wrinkle just a bit before her expression went blank once more. "Goodluck." She spoke over her shoulder as she moved away every now and then looking over her shoulder incase the other decided to attack.

It was a like a role reversal. He got anxious as the cub moved further away from him. "Wait!" He walked slowly towards the cub keeping an eye out for her parents. It was really sad that he had been so lonely that interaction with a cub was better than another day on the trail alone. He scrambled for something to talk about. "Um, so this is dawnwalker huh? It looks kinda quiet 'round here." The cub was on the steps of what looked like a temple before she stopped fully.

" You shouldn't be here." Starga'e raised an eyebrow. "That is unless you want to join our clan?" A brief flash of amusement when across her face as she took in the look of distaste. "I see you clearly do not like my home which is fine not many do and yes I believe others are just about to awaken." Her ears twitched as she heard her family were among those coming out of their homes to survey the damage done to their home. " You better leave like I suggested earlier. You do not want to be caught as a trespasser."

Frowning he took in the same sounds before sighing. I guess he would have to find his company elsewhere now. "Well at least I found a new area I never knew existed. Farewell little one~ It's... been interesting." There was some amusement lingering in his tone. Looking in the direction the cub had pointed to he gave himself a shake before nodding. "Right, first order of business. Find a watering hole all this heat has ruined my cleaniness from this mornings bath."

Shaking her head Starga'e watched the other male leave while talking to himself. "Adults. They can be so strange." She rolled her eyes and shook her head in amusement before whipping her head around when she heard her name being called. "COMING!" She shouted for the first time today as she did not want her parents or siblings to worry about her being lost.

END.
