Having heeded the Stormborn lions' words, Unndis spent some time training. At first, it was tough. Although, to be fair, even at the end of her training had been tough. But, difficulty was a good thing, and without that fact; little in life is accomplished. Although the lioness had enlisted the help of other felines to help her, even the prey animals had done her some good. Keeping away from the larger sort that would've been more trouble than they're worth. Like Water Buffalo. Alllllways stay away from them. However, that was besides the point. The purple lioness made her way back to the border of the Prides' lands, with resolve and slight curiousity. Unndis wondered lightly if she'd encounter the same male, again.

Sometimes the gods have a sense of humor. In Galning's case, they seemed to have a penchant for slapstick. At least that had been the theme of much of his early tenure in the Stormborn. Now things were beginning to improve since he'd made the decision not to overindulge in 'n** or mint and to limit his carousing so that he got a decent night's sleep and trained regularly against challenging opponents.
The process had actually been pretty miserable for the first week since it somewhat resembled detoxification for an alcoholic, but he'd gotten through it without killing himself or his cub. His cub had actually been something of an inspiration to him, since he wanted to be a father that Yolla could be proud of when he was older. He also wanted to be the sort of reaver that captains argued over, but that was a long way down the road.
For now, he would settle for not being that reaver who never wins challenges.

Unndis kept herself from feeling over confident, or under confident, in herself. She'd learned well from others, as well as herself, that being too prideful works against you. But on the other side of the coin, if you under valued yourself, you would lose in your endeavor. It was a delicate balance that the lioness tried to keep, as she got closer and closer to the Pridal lands of the Stormborn.
It would be a bold lie to herself, if the lioness told herself there wasn't something about this place that kept her coming back. And that would keep her coming back, even if she lost this challenge.
Unndis wandered back to where it seemed she had first met that male, but didn't spy him nearby. ..Or anyone, for that matter. It was a reasonable notion that anyone on patrol, could be anywhere along the border. Since it would seem as this Pride was large.
Well, nothing gets done in idle thought, only action. With a deep lungful breath, she let out the loudest roar the lioness could manage.

That roar was Galning's cue.
Sometimes lions coming to the Stormborn didn't know that they were supposed to issue the challenge, and so they tried to walk into the pride. This was always a bad idea and ended in pain for nearly everyone involved. It was painful for the outlander because they would be driven out by the first lions to see them without recognizing them and it would be painful for all the reavers on patrol because they'd allowed an outlander to get past them. Probably it wouldn't be all that painful for the lions doing the driving out.
Basically, Galning was glad this lion knew to make their presence known so that a reaver could attend to their challenge at their earliest convenience.
He trotted toward the sound at a brisk pace, knowing that he would be the only one to answer because of the way the patrols had been divided up that morning. To his surprise he felt a tingling in his gut as he moved, anxiety over whether he would triumph in this battle or not. It was so important to him not to be an embarrassment to the pride anymore.
"You!" he exclaimed when he saw the lioness who had summoned him. Then he went on to add unnecessarily, "You're back."

Princess_Feylin Terribly sorry for the delay. Once her dark eyes caught sight of the coming towards her, Unndis hadn't known if this was a blessing by Fate or not. She wasn't too surprised that it had been the same lion from her first border encounter here. It was reasonable to think areas of patrol were assigned to individuals. But these were not thoughts to be dwelling upon, casually or otherwise. There was something serious at stake here. She'd worked hard to progress as best as she could, and the purple lioness hoped that it had been enough. Even if it wasn't, she was determined to get more, and then try again. Unndis took a step towards the male, " Of course, I am back. I said that I would return after practicing and sparring out in the rogue lands. "

Schicksalswende Don't worry about it. It isn't as though I'm in any sort of hurry. Galning made himself smile at her response. It was good that she had come back. He had wanted her to come back, he reminded himself. She was nice and she was pretty, even if she didn't seem like much of a warrior, and the pride could really use more people who were both nice and pretty. At least that was Galning's opinion. It was stupid of him to be disappointed that she'd taken his advice and trained just because he didn't want to lose.
"All right then," he said. "Shall we get started?"
He was usually a lion who rushed in to be the first on the attack and take his opponent off-guard, but today he hung back and waited to allow Unndis the initiative. It put him in a reactive position, which was never desirable in the Stormborn way of fighting, but Galning's old style, while recognized among the Stormborn as having some value in legends, had not really been working for him. He hoped that this would be better.

Princess_Feylin Still though. I also apologize for any lameness that will surely occur, for this is my first Challenge-type RP. xD; Unndis nodded and smiled slightly at Galnings' words. Her immediate observation was that her opponent was letting her take charge. Interesting. Most of the felines that she'd sparred against, had made the first move and not her. Unndis reminded herself to be wary of the rocky surroundings, and not to let herself get pinned. With and area like this, sure footing was also a key factor. The scenic pelted lioness charged at the male, with every ounce of speed the large feline could muster. She was intent on ramming into her adversary.

Schicksalswende Actually, I'm rubbish at RPing fights, too. So probably I will be too busy flailing to notice if you're not a prodigy. Galning had done a lot of fighting in his life. He was a brawler as a cub because of how easily he took offense at every slight, real or imagined, and he had joined a pride which valued warriors. There weren't a lot of ways a person could begin a fight that would surprise him unless the fight itself caught him by surprise.
Since he knew that this fight was coming, the ramming speed charge was just one of several ways he had guessed his opponent might begin. It was surprising to him that a lioness would choose an attack which was based so much on brute strength, but that was her choice. What he would do now was his choice.
He chose to sidestep and make a swipe at her. If she moved fast enough, she'd just get a swat-with-claws on the rump. If she was slower his claws might drag down her side. Of course she had other options, but if she didn't manage to alter her course, that was how Galning imagined things going down.
