Hm, the savannah was oddly...deserted and quiet in the early morning hours. And while these details might have been unsettling to a mortal, for fear that their life was being stalked by stealthy predators, for those like Sayida it was a rather peaceful start. There were no creatures around to bother her, save for the small sounds of locust in the dry bushes. So wthout any eyes to judge her as she traveled, the dark goddess gingerly stepped out from the shallow cave of boulders. Small wings stretched from her back, grateful for the open space to finally flex, and her tail swept wide to reflect her eagerness to explore. While the cave was a comforting sanctuary for the female, the night had been long and uneventful. This morning she was hoping to find some thrill to make amends for the wasted hours.

After all, being immortal meant being creative with all the endless hours one was forced to endure. So why not begin now? Casting white eyes to her left, the lioness could make out the glassy surface of a watering hole in the distance. That might be a fair place to start, she thought boredly. And with a morning yawn, Sayida began her casual walk to the water's edge.

These were the best times in Athrun's opinion, the murky colored dawn where everything looked nearly the same color but things were just beginning to sharpen, to make their colors and shape known to the world for yet another day. It was as if everything was rejoicing for having survived the darkness of yet another night on the savannah, rejoicing by throwing their colors around wildly and appearing to take a deep breath of happiness. Even the air cooled a bit just as the sun came up, as if inhaling to let out a deep exhale of warm breathtaking and lung drying air back to it's creatures.

Mother world was happiest in the morning it seemed and so was Athrun. Loneliness was greatest at dusk and right around midnight, when creatures were falling asleep alone and were left to their thoughts as they lay. Yet even though his powers were at their strongest then, Athrun was happier when all the creatures weren't as alone, when they were happy. When the sun was warming their backs and reminding them that they were still alive and had another day to appreciate that fact, whether alone or with a large pride/pack/herd.

The enormous white god was sitting beside a watering hole, his white tail making designs in the dust as he flicked it to and fro. His attention was on the treetops nearby, where a small family of little colorfully hued birds were just waking up and singing a song. It wasn't for him or for anyone in particular other than from just their joy of the sunlight.

A smile played across his soft muzzle and his sky colored eyes crinkled with joy. After being reborn and having his memories of such an event restored to their former glory, Athrun had brooded for lengths. It wasn't until recently when he knew that the things he felt were over his past, that the god had released them and finally been able to move on. To smile at birds singing to a sunrise.

The past was the past, nothing about him could change his feelings towards it, other gods, or mortals at all. He had tried to hide his immortality from other immortals and mortals alike for a while, tried to make it low key, appear as though he weren't even around. But that hadn't seemed satisfactory either. He was proud of his wings and meeting others made him happy, if not a little unsettled at first glance.

Having finally given up on the airs of making others happy with his mediocrity, Athrun finally learned to make himself happy even in his own loneliness. He sunned his wings when the day came, played in the sky with birds when he felt like it and did as he wished for the most part. The old god still made a point of helping creatures with their loneliness when he could, but there was only so much pain he could ease if it was the absence of another that caused the feeling. Yet he tried and that was the point, right?

Dipping his head, a deep chuckle in his chest, Athrun put his muzzle to the watering hole's smooth surface. He smiled a little as his tongue caused ripples to dance across the surface, making the water dance with him.
