Well that wasn't much of an answer. Was it even possible to get Rei to sit still long enough? Seemed like the older male had successfully kept Rei's condition a secret from the outside world until now so the other most likely had a plan in mind. Life would have been so much easier if he had been born before his zodiacs. Since such was not the case, he was having to rely on Andrei's abilities. Takami hated accepting an outsider's help but he really had no choice in the matter. His orbs dulled when Andrei bent down and scooped Rei up. Was that man seriously going to walk out carrying Rei like that?! Well he suppose the idiots around the surrounding area wouldn't be brilliant enough to know that wasn't a toy. Yes, he shouldn't give the idiots so much credit. They wouldn't think much of it. Even if they did see anything, they wouldn't involve themselves with the law. A lot of them were running from it. Someone could literally get away with murder around these parts. Well, someone was about to get away with murder.
Following after Andrei proved to be quite difficult, especially when he was dragging along a plastic bag and his legs weren't as long as those of an adult. Frustration was apparent in Takami's expression as he struggled to keep up. Once they reached the stairs, the god wearily glanced down. This was the part he hated the most. Being so small, everything seemed higher than it actually was. Using his free hand to clutch on the rail, Takami slowly climbed his way down. The rail was so old that it literally shook with each step he took. Time seemed to always slow down when he had to climb down these stairs. He suppose it was far more better than climbing up. If only there was a way too avoid stairs period.
By the time he caught up with the two, Rei was already in the car. Takami was half expecting the 'older' male to shut the door and drive off. He wouldn't be too surprised if the other had. Actually, he was startled he hadn't. Instead, the older male told him to leave his clothes behind. Feeling irked at being told what to do, Takami flashed Andrei a long stare. He wasn't seriously telling a god what to do was he? What was wrong with the clothes he had that he had to leave them behind?! They were clean! He took the 'clean' ones. Well as clean as they could get when he was the one doing the cleaning. That and he didn't exactly have any money to buy new clothes. Well technically he did have money, he was entitled to the Sohma riches but that wouldn't be until he successfully booted the current head of the estates off the position that was rightfully his.
“They aren't dirty and they do not smell! We do not smell!” Takami stubbornly stated, choosing to read Andrei's mind rather than ask such a pointless question. Brat! They did not smell! How dare he assume it was them! Then again....it could be possible that he had lived in that filth for so long that he could no longer smell the constant stench that lingered even in his room or on himself. Feeling somewhat self conscious now, Takami raised his palm to smell himself. He smelled just fine.....he wasn't a rubbish god.
“Rei, tell him what I speak is true.” Takami demanded from the other but from the looks of it, his zodiac didn't seem like he would be of much use. Was his zodiac even listening to him?! Ugh. Maybe he should let this one go for now. His stubborn behavior would only prolong their stay at a crime scene. Now really wasn't the time for such petty arguments but it dwelled more from the fact that he had no money to purchase new clothes and the agreement he made with Andrei didn't mention anything about supplying him with basic needs.
Feeling a wave of frustration, Takami puffed up his cheeks and abruptly climbed in the back seat. He didn't want to admit defeat. The only reason he chose not to argue further was because it probably wouldn't be long until his mother woke and having the car door open like that while Rei was transformed heightened the chance of someone finding out their secret. Now wasn't really the time. He'll just have to find a way to purchase himself some new clothes.
