Ben is a nice guy - no, seriously. It takes a lot to ruffle his feathers and more often than not he's willing to back down out of any argument and agree that he was in the wrong. It's not that he's weak-willed, as he certainly has opinions of his own that he will use when they are needed, but rather Ben doesn't see the point in getting angry over anything. The type to give the shirt off his back (literally) to someone if he felt they needed it more than he did, he's there for people when they need him and will give plenty of space when they don't.
He doesn't go out of his way to help or harm someone unless it's clear the person in question needed assistance (and he won't harm anyone anyway) because he doesn't want to be seen as too pushy, though when it comes to being reliable and dependable there is nothing else that describes Ben.
Very much "my pace" at all events in life.
Probably would forgive anyone for anything so long as they didn't get him killed.

Everyone is a winner in Ben's books and he's there to let them know. People can expect to get scolded (maybe - probably never because he doesn't want to come off too preachy) when they're wrong and most certainly showered with praise when they do something good. Everyone in a manner of speaking is a friend or family member and it's the job of a good brother/son/dad/uncle/whatever people think of him as to support each person to their utmost.
While he'd like to be friends with everyone he's not overbearing about it and doesn't force himself on others. Friendship takes time okay and Ben is a patient man who just wants everyone to be happy and follow their dreams.
Everybody gets pats on their heads though because supportive.
He will tell you Happy Birthday because friendship.
He believes that woman should treasure themselves more and men should ...also treasure themselves more?

"Squeamish" might be a bit harsh of a term to use in regards how Ben feels about blood considering he only panics when it's....visible. Small cuts and scrapes just bring out team mom mode a need to help patch people up and so those are dealt with easily. Massive amounts of blood though tend to make him super queasy and he can't focus on the task at hand.
Any horror move with lots of blood is avoided like the plague.
Self-injuries can be ignored so long as the blood isn't in sight and he can force himself into a state of denial over it.
Ben will faint over excessive amounts of injuries and then come out of it laughing and full of self-deprecating humor because why not. No matter how much he tries to keep his calm there's always an underlying sense of panic that will most certainly need to be worked on.

Ben doesn't do well with animals like cats or dogs. They sort of scare him into a state where they make him really uncomfortable and his idle choice of looking at them is "in a magazine". Larger animals get the same treatment and are generally avoided because they could trample him or something like that and animals
Being around animals tends to make Ben either freeze up and just stand there, clam up and try to get away, or outright flee. He's pretty cool with insects and stuff though (rats and mice are oddly okay) but everything else has him darting off into space
( In regards to rats and mice he totally knows all the words to "Ben" and he has no problems singing it to you )

In life (?) perhaps Hisame was a glutton with a thirst and hunger for endless knowledge. While he doesn't remember his past life at all now that he's become a weapon the useless amounts of information he'd gathered during that time just sort of...sits there.
He'd kick a** at trivial pursuit and stuff if most of his knowledge wasn't completely out of date with the times
His speaking voice reminds Benjamin of an old professor or scholar at a university who put students into comas with their speeches

As a Gaki ( hungry ghost ) Hisame has an endless desire to consume something. Always hungry for anything and everything there isn't a specific item that catches his fancy and pulls him towards it. The hunger seems to change targets on any given day (or period of time) but thankfully it's never anything too serious - the worst thing he'd likely ever want was blood and the easiest thing he wanted was laughter.
Most of the time though he's just thirsty and as a result makes Benjamin pretty thirsty too. It's a thirst that will never go away and Bejamin is really tired of drinking orange juice okay he doesn't like oranges
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?
Benjamin's little sister Hannah kept complaining about the monster that lived in the closet of the room she and his other little sister Ina shared. Benjamin did his best to relieve her fears but didn't really work. Ina and Hannah had bruises, Benjamin's parents were worried the girls were hurting one another, both girls were sent to live with different relatives. The bruises on Ina stopped, the bruises on Hannah didn't.
Hannah got put in a "special home" for children who were "troubled". Benjamin didn't like how he couldn't protect his sister from the "closet monsters" that she still wrote to him about on a weakly basis.
Deus was a chance to fix that, to prevent someone else from getting hurt. Benjamin took that chance and left as soon as he said his good-byes.
Weapon Ability
Rattle and Roar [ swift strikes ] Hisame is swung around Ben's head several times and is tossed out at the opponent in rapid succession with the blade and the ball alternating in connection.

Clothing Style/Colours: Dresses sort of preschool teacher casual? khakis and sneakers, button up shirt over a white t-shirt // hunter scarf color would be olive green + jacket would resemble a tweed jacket usually worn by professors/teachers [ totally would wear a shirt that says team mom on it no seriously ]
Extra: Has a belt loop chain that has three pendants that hang off them. The pendants contain images of his family ( grandparents, parents, younger sisters )
