	...this was a very odd leopard. He nodded briefly at the leopard, getting up to inch his way towards the lake. He was not looking forward to this part at all. He gingerly stepped a paw in, realizing how cool the water was. This was not going to be fun. "Well, here goes," he mumbled to himself, giving one last look over his shoulder at the leopard before wading into the water. He knew he was going to have to go completely under to get everything off....and he really didn't want to do it. Bit by bit, he got in to about shoulder height, and lowered his body down...and slipped under the surface of the water. Awful, just awful.

	Not quite knowing what he was supposed to do now, Quan just watched. Once the Emperor actually went under, he thought maybe he should cheer the lion on. Because lions could have such weak egos and all, and they didn't like water. He even felt a little bad for Miandui. "Ah, yes! That's very good, your majesty! Now just sort of... flail– er, splash around. You want to get it all out!" He stepped into the water, himself, but not too deep. He just needed to get the stuff off his foreleg. And in the back of his mind, Quan was thoroughly amused.

	Ting Lan better make this up to him. He still assumed that this was her doing. He rose up from the surface, just enough to feel utterly HORRIBLE. Ugh. Water and dissolving goop was everywhere. He shifted to the left a bit, and went back under, feeling his mane start to free up from the goop. He wondered if he'd even feel a difference, but perhaps this was a bit of the duties of emperor. Looking great and perfect all the time. Well, he figured that he got everything off by now, and emerged from most of the water, walking towards Quan. He brushed away his bangs just so he could see, and his mane felt so heavy from all the water that was still stuck in it. He was like a mini moving waterfall.

	He had the decency not to laugh. That probably explained why lions didn't swim, especially males. The emperor looked like... well, something very wet. "Very good." He nodded. Yep, it looked like all the goop was out, that was excellent. "And now you just need to dry! And once it's all dried up your mane will be most pretty!" Quan nodded cheerfully. He would probably like to do more to Miandui's fur, but Quan knew not to push it. He'd tortured the Emperor enough for the day, he figured.

	"Great. Drying will take no time at all." He stepped to the side a bit, shaking off what water he could at the moment. He knew that he would shake again in a bit, but he was ready to go find a good place to dry. "Thanks...I think. Ting Lan better be happy with this," he said with a grumpy voice. "I'm going to go find a warm sunny rock to lay on to get this...water out of my fur as soon as possible." And Ryger would make sure that no one approached him until he was dry. And clean, thank you.

	He nodded. "Yessir. It will be a nice surprise for her!" Quan might indicate a few places to rest and dry, because he liked a few nice spots to lay in the sun. But he figured Miandui just wanted him out of his hair. "Er, it was a pleasure having you!" He nodded and sat back, and just hoped he hadn't managed to make the new Emperor hate him or anything. "I'll go... back to my cave now. Bye!" Yes, he could mix things. And hide for a little while. At least Quan had the comfort of knowing that no Emperor of his would be walking around with a scraggly mane, at least not for a few weeks!

	Miandui shook his head before leaving, not really saying anything to the leopard. He was certainly irritated at being goaded into this, but at least it wasn't horrible torture. He just wan't going to show his face to anyone until he was DRY.
