"Hmph," was the first response she got.

A splatter of blood from the new hole in the fox's neck was the second - the way it was done, it might have been the equivalent of spitballing into her hair.

The head was tossed towards the crowd, the body the opposite way. Yet even so the blood did not calm him, and if anything just enraged him further at how simple it was to just kill rather than stir up trouble; he had never been any good in that. Too much patience and too much waiting. His talents laid in actively frightening prey to death, if not outright slaughtering them.

Exhaling sharply through his nose, Shik took to the air and winged back towards the portal without another look at the miserable town and its miserable ******** humans.

Oh but yes he did.

The glower she suddenly directed at him was more then a match for his own. Anger welled up inside of her that was nearly the equivalent of what she had felt just before she had exploded on him during their last little spar, and if he hadn't taken off into the air she surely would have thrown herself at him in a fit of rage.

Stupid, horrible, nerve grating man! He could have at least been happy for her. But no, he would rather act like a selfish child, pouting over a toy that he had broken himself through misuse.

She growled wordlessly at his quickly retreating form. She couldn't believe she ever thought that they could work together. She couldn't believe that she'd actually kissed him once and enjoyed it. She felt disgusted with herself.

She reached up to run fingers through her curly and knotted hair, coming away with a hand covered in animal blood, her eyes glinting dangerously. Shikoba Len had better watch his back, because Shaheen was far from finished this fight.

She took a few running steps, then threw herself into the air as well and back towards the portal.
