	There, that had been a reaction from her, and maybe, just maybe, the corner of his mouth turned ever so slightly upward. The hurt and anger was there, and it was refreshing to see that she, that a Conquest, had more emotions than what the clan showed when enjoying a cup of tea. HP: 17 Damage: Amusement

	He looked smug. Well. As smug as Soren could look. It made her angry, and, it embarrassed her. Hitting her like that, having the nerve to attack her in such a way. Facial quirks didn't pass the notice of conquest, and they would get their own reactions in turn, in Lan's case a small color coming to her cheeks. She shot at him again, trying to ignore how much she was letting such small things distract her. HP: 24 Damage: 6

	The arrows she fired were getting annoying as this one caught him at an angle, ripping through muscle as it tore through him. The only good thing about it was that it disappeared and he did not have to remove them himself. But he was getting to her, and in a way, even though she was consistently dealing him more damage than he seemed to be inflicting on her, he felt like he was winning. Somehow he just felt that he had an upper hand. He did not stop, lashing out with his fist again. She was just going to have to get used to being touched. HP: 11 Damage: 4

	And then lan was Mituna and Soren was Cronus Again, his fist got her and she shying from his touch, trying to get distance between them. She didn't want him close, nor, touching her. He knew that it was crossing a line, yet he kept doing it. Lips pulled into a tight line, she hit at him with her bow, trying to stun him. HP: 20 Damage: 2

	The claws of Soren's gauntlet ghosted over her flesh. Soren did not like being hit with her bow and he moved forward to limit the area she had to work with, maybe accidentally stepping on her toe in the process. HP: 9 Damage: 1

	A derisive snort. "That counts? He had barely stepped on her toe and she took it as a personal offense? Mares were just weird, as were Conquestians, and this was just a bad mix. Still he backed off slightly, bringing his khopesh up to hit her with the flat of his blade again. Maybe she did not notice, but at least he wasn't ruining her clothing this time. HP: 3 Damage: 3

	It did count and he knew it and he was being infuriating and why was he slapping her with his sword she was going to have welts and they would last over a day, damn it. Scowling, she shot at him. "Guess. Let us not forget that in a dance, stepping upon your partner's toes is a sign of a poor lead." A huff with a hair toss thrown in. "Perhaps I just need to remind you how to fight." HP: 16 Damage: 4

	Did he look like a dancer to her? He almost asked, but it was just so ridiculous that he did not bother. The arrow that followed was exactly like her, not giving him a chance to recover, and he could feel his Fear shield give. Again. He was going to have to beat her in a fight soon or she was going to go over the top with all of her Noble talk again. "More to life than fighting." Not that she would know, she was practically a filly still. "But you're good at it." He would give her that as he dismissed his blade, disengaging by stepping back. HP: -1

	Too bad Lan never got over 'noble talk'. Born and trained. And practiced. And stubborn. And conquest. Lan was a product of her upbringing down at her core. As he backed down she didn't lower her bow, only moving back to where she had been, resuming firing at the target in the distance. "Fighting requires a focus. A focus free of distractions." A shot, it missed the mark as her thoughts veered off course. She frowned, aiming again. "I am distracted enough as of late."
