Kich's ears perked at 'phoenix'. Such an odd, yet fitting choice. He nodded. "I approve of the call sign." He looked towards Huo, nodding to the Hongshan male. They were a good group, one that had the potential to work very well together...at least in a business sort of way. Kucha grinned and chuckled.
"I think it's a good one. Out of this mess the pride's in, we rise from the ashes, stronger than before." Strength, they needed it. The whole pride needed it. In larger amounts than before.

Iirte was pleased to see each of the guards before her agree in their own way, and she couldn't help but think once again how well they'd work together. How Huo's deliberateness could balance and smooth out some of Ran's excitability, how Kich and Kucha already seemed to compliment one another well. A few weeks of drills and she didn't doubt it would be hard for them to ever think of working with guards outside their group. And that was just how it should be. A loyalty and bond so tightly woven that not even death itself could hope to fray it.
"That was precisely my idea, Kucha-moto. Just like the phoenix, hardship only makes us stronger. Strengthens our resolve. Turns us into greater lions that we would be otherwise," she said softly, her eyes briefly falling closed as she remembered her own past hardships. But just as quickly as it had come, the moment had passed. In only seconds her eyes were open once again and she was on her paws, nodding to each of the lions gathered before her. "You're all dismissed for now. I'll send word on when our first official drill will be."

Huo gave a sort of bow, acknowledging the female before turning to walk away, mind still on his own thoughts. This... This would prove interesting, as long as they didn't get in his way. Then he would be....
Less than agreeable. Still, for now he could be agreeable. After all, he had orders.

Dismissed? Already? Ran held back her disappointment by countering it with cold logic. They all had other things to attend to, or soon would. Keeping them all here when the point had been made and everything had been decided was rather pointless - and not to mention a waste.
Still, she would have liked to have spent a bit more time with her mother. At least she would get to in the future, now that they were working together. Eeee! She was really going to get to work and train with her mother! A small part of Ran's mind wondered if she would grow tired of her mother's presence in the future, after training got started. Most of her thoughts, however, were far more concerned with just how great this was.
Head held high, the white lioness dipped it just a little in acknowledgement of her orders, then headed off with a spring in her step.

With the dismissal, Kich and Kucha both dipped their heads to Iirte. Well...time to get back to life as normal. Kucha gave a cocky smile to the rest of the group before trotting off to get something in his belly. And Kich made his way to go talk with Mikā. Best she know about this new development.
