Family

Whilst this boy's mother will be nothing but loving towards him and his siblings, his father will all but ignore him for most of his life. Despite this, he will still be more favoured than his two brothers, as he is the cub that most resembles his rather arrogant father.

When the males of this Pride reach adolesence, they leave to go find a female in order to form their own Harem. This boy's brothers, the twins, will not be returning. It is up to you whether or not you have this boy return, and for what reason. Will he return for the sake of his mother? Will he leave through fear of his father? Will he return in a desperate attempt to gain his father's approval? It's entirely up to you! ^^ Whoever wins will have mine and LSX's blessing to carry out whatever plot they've listed below.

Entry Form

Name: Papak
Meaning: Persian variant for little father
Personality: Papak will be a very curious cub; always wanting to know more about everything going on around him. He'll want to know why his father doesn't want much to do with him and will try to find a way to get his approval. He'll see some of the other cubs in the pride and wonder why is his dad not like the others. He doesn't quite understand why the females are below him and will struggle with that as he grows, especially trying to come to terms with the pride's beliefs and the way his mother treats him. He will also be an adventuring little cub; always looking for something to get into or something to do to try to make his father like him.
What does the future hold for him?: Despite not understanding the pride and his father's beliefs, Papak will do anything to try to gain his approval. He will struggle to come to understand the pride's beliefs but he will leave at adulthood to try to bring back as many females as he can to show his father. His success, and the reaction of his father, will determine if he stays with the pride. If he is unsuccessful at all, he will not return out of shame. If he is successful but his father ignores him still, he will leave out of the rejection he will feel, not wanting to stick around where he is not wanted and doesn't fully believe in their values. If he is successful, and gets his father's approval, then he will stick around and do his best to come to terms with the beliefs of the pride. Eventually, though, his father's approval and his harem would not be enough to keep him in the pride because he won't be able to adjust to being the leader of a harem and the pride's ways of dealing with the females. He would wander the rogue lands until he found a suitable pride for him.

Name: Aslan
Meaning: Turkish, 'lion'
Personality: Aslan is a cheerful cub, full of laughter and smiles, ready to please anyone he meets. A problem, you see, since the one lion he looks up to the most doesn't pay him hardly any attention. He wants to be big and strong like his father when he grows up, and he'll do his very best to do what it takes to gain his father's approval. At the same time, he's very protective of his siblings and his mother, and won't let any harm befall them if he has a say in it. As he grows he'll become a bit sly and learn how to use his strength as well as brains to get what he wants out of life.
What does the future hold for him?: His cub months will be spent playing and learning how to be a proper lion, learning from those around him as well as his mother. He'll leave to find a female and will return proudly with her once he does find one, eager to start his own life in the pride he knows so well. He'll constantly seek his father's approval, and he hasn't the heart to leave his mother completely alone. He will be a kind, if flirtatious male. I'd love for him to have a few RPs with his father when he's older to show him that hey, I turned out pretty good, you proud of me yet? No? How about now? Now? Frustrating for him, but fun for us! XD

Name: Ardeshir
Meaning: Middle Persian variant of an Old Persian name meaning "great warrior" or "lion-king"
Personality: As a cub he will be attentive to his mother and siblings and basically worship his father. He will do everything in his power to get his fathers attention and any sort of affection he can from the lion.
As he gets older he will realize more and more his father basically ignores him. This will cause sorrow and confusion in the cub-juve.
And later, as an adolescent, that sorrow will become hate and anger and he will effectively ruin any chance he and his father had of becoming buddies.
Lastly, as an adult, he will become just as arrogant as his father and be kind of a d**k. However, he will cherish any and all cubs he has and spoil them rotten. They will likely be the only people he shows any honest to god affection towards.
Basically he will go from being a happy little cub, to a confused juve, then an angsty teen-adol and maybe eventually a smug b*****d of an adult.
What does the future hold for him?: I want him to stay in the pride and do everything he can to one up his father. He will try to have more females and cubs than his father and will try to be more caring and affectionate towards his cubs than his father was. His entire life will be a inward struggle as he first tries to get his fathers attention and approval, then begins to struggle with the idea his father may not like him very much then eventually he will, around adol probably, become angry with his father and do everything he can to make himself better, more powerful, and better liked than his father. As an adult he will attempt to get his fathers approval, only to spit on it and tell his father how much of a better lion he is because daddy wasn't there to influence him badly.

Basically I want to make him an angsty character. <3
