Kivi
Following the challenge to Aesir from Njal and the victory of the latter over the former, Kivi had been subjected to a very long rant from her mothers about how their lives were probably going to change now, and certainly not for the better. Neither of them had been yelling at her, or even at each other. They were just yelling in her presence because they were angry and there didn't seem to be much else they could do. Kivi could understand that, but that didn't mean she particularly wanted to stick around and listen to it.

She nudged one of her other sibs to ask her to let their mums know she'd gone when they finished yelling and slipped out of the den. The atmosphere in the pride had changed, but she didn't really know for certain why Njal winning would be so bad for her family. Her mothers had not been very specific about that as they shouted and fumed and threw their temper tantrums. Perhaps, she decided, she should ask someone who was in a better mood.

Alehandra
Alehandra wasn't sure how this would change her life. The battle had been terrifying, but she had found herself entranced. Ali didn't much mind fighting, in fact, she really liked it. She liked the feeling of battle and claw and teeth. She just did. She knew she certainly wasn't alone in that feeling, so she didn't feel too guilty. If anything she felt a slight bit of excitement at the fact that -cub- was no longer going to be around. She hadn't liked the little white ball of pretention. She hadn't liked her at all. But normally, wishing bad things on others wasn't Ali's thing. Today however. It was different.

Alehandra wasn't really positive what changing warlords meant for the pride, but she had a feeling big changes were coming her way. She hadn't really met Njal either, and that made her sort of wary. She wished she knew what it was about him that had earned him so many followers. She was not loyal to Aesir, not really, but she wasn't really loyal to Njal either. Not that she would ever tell anyone such a thing.

Kivi
Kivi didn't know ever lion in the pride on sight. Not yet anyway, although she fully intended to be able to do so by the time she was a grown-up. She wanted all of them to at least recognize her, too. She was a friendly little lioness and had no difficulty introducing herself to strangers and leaving them with a positive impression. Sometimes that meant she couldn't remember when she had met people, though, since her interactions with them always seemed relatively bland and forgettable.

For instance, Kivi recognized the pink and grey lioness a short distance away, knew she was a reaver, and was fairly certain that her name started with Ali-something, but she didn't know how she knew all that. Was it because they'd already met, or had she simply picked it up somewhere? So frustrating!

"It is a good day to die," she greeted the older lioness, trying to comport herself as much like an adult as possible.

Alehandra
Ali was stretched out on a rock, her legs sprawled out as she rested. She supposed there were better things she should be doing.. She also had been thinking about taking a thrall to keep her company. She lived a rather solitary lifestyle, regardless of the pride status she held. Other than Solv, her interactions with others were limited at best. She just wasn't very good at making allies it seemed.

The little female that stepped closer to her, Ali didn't recognize in the slightest. She had seen a few cubs that looked like her, and she had recognized family that resembled this cub. But she wasn't -sure- who she belonged to.

"It is a good day to die, indeed." SHe said, arching an eyebrow at the youth. The girl seemed rather grown up for her age, she looked particularly young!

"What is your name, little miss?" She asked, rolling to lay on her belly and preparing herself for conversation. She liked talking to cubs, and she liked playing with them. Only issue was, some of them were like that little b***h of a cub she had met. Then that was when she hated them.

Kivi
Well, Kivi supposed that answered that question. They hadn't actually met. Either that or they had met and the lioness had forgotten Kivi completely, but that seemed less likely, all in all, since Kivi could only sort of recall the adult's name. New people!

"I'm Kivi Tazirasdottir," she introduced herself. She knew that introducing herself with her mother's name instead of her father's would raise some eyebrows among the more conservative lions in the pride, but she wasn't ashamed of her mothers and she didn't care about whatever lion had sired her in the least. He wasn't a part of her life.

"You're a reaver, right?" She probably should have asked the lioness's name, but she could always do that later. Right now she had other questions to ask which were ever so much more important.

Alehandra
Ali was sure she'd never seen the cub before in her life, so she didn;t have the same sort of anxiety of whether or not she was supposed to remember this cubs name. She smiled when the little lioness spoke, and bowed her head in greeting.

"Pleasure to meet you, Kivi." She said. She hadn't added the last name, and honestly, Ali only briefly recalled the name Tazira. The rest was new to her, so she didn't exactly correlate it to having two mothers. Though even if she had, it wouldn't have bothered her in the slightest. She wasn't the most conservative of Stormborn.

"I am Alehandra, and yes. I am a reaver." How long would she get that honor if Njal was the warlord? What would happen to her now? Aesir had accepted her as a reaver, but what if Njal had other ideas?

Kivi
"I was wondering about that. Being a reaver," Kivi said.

"I don't want to be one, myself. I'm okay at fighting, but it's not want I want to do." She hastened to add, "I think it's okay for other females to do it. I just don't really want to."

She told herself to quit worrying about giving offense. There was nothing wrong with asking questions, and that's all she was doing. That, and meeting someone new. But neither of those things was any reason to be anxious.

"What I wanted to know is what happens now? Are you going to keep being a reaver? My mums say the new warlord probably won't like that, but I don't think he can actually take the title away, right?"

Alehandra
Ali didn't fault the youngster. If anything, she gave her props for being so smart. It wasn't every day juveniles were preparing for their future, or knew so much about themselves that they could make smart decisions. So she just nodded, showing she understood the cub meant no offense.

Kivi had gotten lucky, running into a female like Alehandra. She was fierce, brave, and smart. Or so she liked to think, but cubs were a weak spot for her. She wondered if it was because she had never had them. She wasn't getting any younger, and she still didn't have any suitors, or husbands either.

As for Njal, Ali felt rather ashamed at how little she knew when it came to what was going to happen in the future. Things were going to change, and she had heard rumors that Njal didn't particularly think too highly of females. She had hoped they were just rumors though.

"Well I'd certainly not give away the title. I'd fight for it, if I could. I am proud to be what I am." She said, and though she was serious, her voice still was friendly and warm.

Kivi
"But you don't actually know," Kivi concluded, a little disappointed. "My actual mum, Tazira, she's really mad because she thinks Njal's going to try to stop her from going reaving, but I don't know if he can."

Maybe she should have asked a lawspeaker instead. One of them would know for certain and then she could go home and tell her mums with confidence that things either would or would not change. She was still too young to understand all the implications of Njal's conservatism. This one was one of the easier to grasp ones, and she was having trouble with it.

"Thank you for answering my question," she said politely. "I hope you won't have to fight for it again. Probably I should be going now. If I'm gone too long, with my mums in the mood they're in, I'm going to get it."

She shrugged and flicked her tail to make it clear that she wasn't afraid of her mums' temper. She just didn't want to make them upset because she was nice. Yeah. That was totally it.

"Don't die in bed!" she called over her shoulder as she began to head off.

Alehandra
"Ah, no. I'm sorry. I don't know what's going to happen. I'm a new Reaver myself, and I wouldn't want to misinform you." She had only just learned the ins and outs with Aesir in charge. Now she was going to have to adjust to someone new, and she was starting to feel particuarly irritated at the changes.

"I wish your mom luck. I have a feeling she wouldn't give it up without a fight though." She assured. But then wondered if that could even really be considered assuring.

"You are very welcome, Kivi. I'm sorry I couldn't help you more." She said, and with a bow of her head, bid the youngster adieu. She was glad for smart little things like her, being the next generation. Rather than the spoiled brat she had encountered moons ago.
