He was cursing under his breath, heated after the conversation he had with the Druid. She was a stubborn thing, and quite honestly he wished he could break her. But he would have to step outside of his command for that, and he wasn't about to start a war to suit his own fancies. But he really hated her, mainly for what she stood for. A Toka gone Druid? Well that was just offensive and he hated her for it. There was nothing good about being a Druid, and he had a hatred for them that was burned into his heart. She had called him a stupid brute. That hadn't helped.

He was a larger male, he had a lost of muscle so he was borderline stocky. But he was proud, and cocky. Sure that he was quite capable of taking out all the Druids all on his own... Okay that was reaching a bit, but he would sure as hell die trying!

He had stalked out to the forest, trying to get his mind off things. He wasn't sure what he was doing, but he figured he would be alone out here.

And if he managed to run into any Druid's, out here no one would know who it was that was going to kill them. At least, that was where his mind was at irght now.

Eigyr was exhausted. And with exhaustion came a great deal of frustration. She was tired of working so hard for so little gratitude. Maybe if she had taken the position within the castle things would be different. But no, then she wouldn't be doing the good that she was now. The low folk needed her, far more than any up on the hill ever would. She would birth Druid cubs and hand them off to their unappreciative parents, tend to their ails and wounds amidst the complaints and namecalling. And she would do it with a smile.

At least until she was left alone. Alone she often found herself crying. They didn't appreciate what she was giving up, they couldn't with the way so many treated her. There were those that told her kind words and brought her gifts, but they were so few amidst so many. She paced through the forest, keeping an eye on the ground for the ingredients she'd need in the coming week, but her mind was elsewhere.

Rafe kept his distaste for druids to himself most times. Probably because not all Toka shared the same conservative mindsets that he did. He didn't want anyone having power over him, by knowing his innermost thoughts, or feelings. So he kept them to himself, unless a Druid was to walk by and say something to him in the silence and serenity that was the forest this evening. In that case, he might be hardpressed not to tell them exactly what he thought of them. Words could hurt more than claw or teeth.

He saw the light colored female, and his hackles rose for a moment. He had thought her Druid, but she didn't smell like they did. No, she smelled lovely, and he felt himself drawn to her. But that didn't mean he was going to be particularly pleasant to any stranger. He'd get to know her, and then decide on how he felt.

"Best be careful out here in the forest. Lots of bad creatures out here." He informed her, though he hadn't meant himself. No, he meant those damn druids.

Eigyr caught herself not even lifting her head before she answered with a laugh, "I've got poison enough hidden about my body that any bad thing bold enough to try me will get a taste of something horrid long before I'm in any danger." Had she known the voice was another of her kind and not some bold leopard of the forest she might have chosen her words more carefully.

As she turned to look at him she blanched, that was no leopard. Instinctively she tucked her pouch under her leg, guarding it from prying eyes. He looked Toka, but one could never be sure. Even though she treated Druids she wasn't one to trust a lone male in the woods.

When she responded to him, he found himself grinning. Ah, a female that could hold her own. That was few and far in between. And she wasn't a druid, or he was assuming that much, which meant he would be quite happy with a bit of conversation.

"How resourceful." He said. Though his voice was rather flat, there was a hint of amusement on his features. He liked resourceful, it was a compliment if it was anything.

Then he saw her pale and he cocked his head. She feared him? Well he had given her no reason and for a moment he wondered if he had judged her wrong. Was she even a Toka?

"Before we go further with this .. delightful.. conversation. Of what blood do you come from?" He asked. If she said Druid, he would turn and scowl away. He wasn't looking to be poisoned today.

"Toka," she told him, her eyes narrowing as she tried to remember if she had ever seen him before. She wasn't kin of her patients, that likely enough meant he wasn't Druid as there weren't many she hadn't stitched up at one time or another. "My family have been merchants for generations. I... Took a different path," she added, lifting her head high. Her heritage was nothing to scoff at, even now her own kin controlled much of the trade of trinkets in and out of the pridelands. Not that she herself had much use for trinkets, she found they often got in the way during more rigorous procedures.

When she said she was Toka, he breathed a sigh of relief. Good thing she was Toka, because being a Druid was a huge crime in his opinion. He looked over what it was she was doing, and realized that she had been collecting things. He wondered what it was, and looked at her curiously before shrugging it off.

"If you were Druid, this meeting wouldn't be as pleasant as preferred." He said, and sat on his haunches. He raised his paw, examining his claws, before placing it back down on the earth.

"What is your name?" He asked. He wasn't particularly interested in her family. She was pretty, but he wanted to know about her. Her family made no difference... Unless they were druids..

"Eigyr," she told him, narrowing her eyes while she contemplated his statement on Druids. She knew the sentiments around the pride well enough, and there were those who would apply the same to even Toka like herself who worked in close proximity to them. For now, she would keep that piece to herself. She lowered herself back the same as he had done, but kept her pouch where she could reach it. Hostility was something she was used to, but nevertheless if made her uncomfortable. "I take it you were born here," she added, nodding back toward the pridal center.
