How many of you guys have had it?
I'm thinking about going and getting the varicella vaccine...but I just don't feel like getting poked and going and doing so....

I have never had it...even though my sister did have it...and so did one of our friends. So we all had a play date...My parents had a play date in hopes we would catch it early....I never did.

So now that I am getting older I think maybe I should go and get the shot...

I got chicken pox when I was younger. Worst timing ever.

It was the last time my birth mother could see me and she chose not to see me because I had chicken pox and she had never had them.

Apparently, when you are older chickenpox is really bad.

I think I had it a long time ago. When I was like Conan's age (from Case Closed). A little kid. Never had it since.

I hope you don't get it my love, I heard you can die from it if you are older.

Get the vaccine.

I got it when I was 10 and it was annoying but no big deal. My brother got it just after me, was 13 at the time, and had way more pox, it lasted longer, and felt like you do when you have a high fever - for a week.

My mother got it when she was 17 and apparently felt like she was going to die.

Seriously, get the vaccine. A little poke and maybe a sore shoulder for a few days is nothing compared even to my mild childhood experience, nevermind what it'd be like at your age.

I got it when I was 3. My mom told my sister that since she was the oldest kid and got it first, she could get it again, so when me and our neighbour got it a couple weeks later, he and I had a ton of fun chasing her all over.

You work with kids don't you? I'm kinda surprised it isn't a requirement... I'm about to start ECE and I have to get a bunch of shots and tests and take CPR. i feel your pain.

I'td be said if I died from Colon cancer and you die from chicken pox which would have been easily avoided. sad

I had chicken pox when I was young and then got shingles when I was about...16, I think.
