[JRP] The switcharoo (Jasiri, Imara and Arrows)

In the deep foilage under the tree's next to the beach hidden deep in the bushes was a pair of white lionesses almost identical to one another...

Jasiri couldn't believe her eyes as she laid just a little ways away from Imara. Laying there staring right back at her was an almost mirror image of herself. She almost couldn't believe what she was seeing if it wasn't for the fact that she'd touched Imara and heard her speak. She could still contribute that to a dream if it wasn't for the sting still in her face from Imara hitting her with her paw. There was only one thing seperating them from being completely identical to one another and that was their noses. Her nose was white and Imara's was black. It was such a little difference that they could easily get into a case of mistaken identity. Oh wait... That was a good idea and such a mischievious one too.

Imara was so pleased to finally be at her sisters side. She had heard stories of her for so long and to finally see her up close was amazing. She really did look just like her. Imara couldn't wrap her mind around the idea that there was someone else out there that looked just like her until she was face to face with her twin. Now she was here with Jasiri and there wasn't going to be anyway that she would lose her again. It took way too long to find her. They had been cubs the last time she saw her and she couldn't even remember that. Neither of them remembered as Jasiri hadn't even known her name. No wonder she had been the only one searching. It made sense. She was taken by an older lioness who couldn't have cubs and raised as her own with her mate. They hadn't wanted her to think she wasn't theirs and she looked so much like them that there was no reason for her to question it. Only she Imara had grown up knowing the truth.

Arrows hadn't drifted to this part of the pride boundaries for a few weeks, since before she had gone on her successful shell quest. Before she walked with an almost broken gate, feeling as if she didn't belong but now she had found her path and walked it with a strong lust for life. Her tortoise shell with the arrow pierced through it was strapped to her hind leg with a wide tarnished leather belt and pointed in the direction she was walking. Currently it was pointing towards the line of trees from her position on the beach.

The sounds of the ocean reminded her of the mermaid she had encountered and the switcharoo she had pulled off herself with great success. It calmed her into the state where anything was possible with the proper leverage. Then two female voices wafted into her ears on a soft breeze, causing them to point directly to the air. Oh what fresh hell could she cause this time? However, this time she wouldn't be able to hide behind the mask the night had granted her. Wait, was it two voices? Or could it be one? Hopefully not a maniac hiding in the bushes, no, the voices were too dainty for that. Better to fight in the open where she had full visibility, she reckoned.

"Ahoy there! Ye be in distress?" She tried to sound more intimidating with her broken sentences and femininely gruff voice.

Jasiri froze at the sound of a voice out on the beach. Someone must have heard them moving around in the bushes or something. She looked over to Imara and in a very low whisper sshhed her. She had a plan. Whoever was out there was going to get the surprise of her life. Carefully she got up on her paws and while staying hidden motioned to Imara to stay put and then she made her way out of the bushes.

She imerged slowly from the greenery and stood up to her full height. "I'm not hurt. Who might you be?"

Imara showed her understanding of her twin well. Even after being seperated for most of their lives she still was able to understand how Jasiri's mind worked. They would be playing the game of two twins, one lion and see just how confused the individual on the beach could become. They would play each other in a way by taking each other's place but have no clue what had gone on during the time the other twin was out. She'd always wanted to play this game and she was so excited to finally get her chance!

The lioness was simple enough in pelt, easy on the eyes for sure, enough to get Arrows' heart beat to spike and her eyes narrow. As her gruff voice propelled again from her maw, she flashed a suave smirk and bowed, believing she had the upper hand in the situation. "I might be Arrows, at yer service none the less." One way to find out the sexuality of a stranger (if it's not flaming in the wind) was to be brazen enough to throw out a line and see how the other reacts. The nice thing about being a pirate, modesty doesn't hold any meaning. However, she wasn't exactly experienced at this attempt quite yet and knew one day she would get a good smack, it was a matter of time.

Jasiri grinned at Arrows reply. It was a witty reply and Jasiri had to admit she already was taking a liking to her. "Well it's a pleasure to meet you Arrows. I'm new to the pride. My name is Jasiri." She replied and while she was not one to be into other ladies she was still friendly if not a bit clueless to how much Arrows really liked her.

Imara watched from the bushes and unlike her sister she was aware how much Arrows was liking her sister. It amused her a lot because she knew her sisters past and how much she was not in anyway interested in ladies. She had a family and had at one time had a mate that left her with very sour feelings towards him. He had taken her cubs from her and now she was out to just break any male lions hearts she could. Imara unlike her sister was up for either gender and had to admit that Arrows was very sexy.

No matter how brilliant and white the smile was from the lioness, Arrows wasn't easily fooled. Not as dumb as she looks folks. Without breaking focus or missing a beat in her smooth flow, "And what is the name of the other'un yer talkin' to.. Or are you one of those.. Thespians?"

Mentally Pace paused and replayed what she said in her mind with a canny cracked smile on her face. Yes, Thespian, she said the right word. The other wasn't one that was allowed in the pride. Most corsairs obviously straight just played Arrow's mild "innocent" flirty comments as her trying to fit into the crew so they played it off as a joke. Every once in a great while she would get an answer, and even more seldom she would follow through with it later, but it had happened (Allegedly). But she had to be very careful, the wrong word into the wrong ear could mean harsh consequences from her father, The Pirate King.

Jasiri blinked at Arrows statement but did not show an extreme amount of surprise like someone who was caught in the act might. "I am by myself.." She replied and then curiously she asked. "What's a Thespian?" She'd never heard that particular term used before. It was rather new.

Imara had never heard it before either but in a sort of twin telepathy her sister had asked the very question running through her mind. She remained quiet in the bushes. In order for their game to work they couldn't give up as soon as something was suspected. She had to have confidence in her sisters convincing.

Arrows watched as the joke she attempted at soared right over the female's head. Her smile subsequently grew more coiled at the ends as if she was sharing a private joke with herself.

"Well certainly not then I suppose." She answered her own question with brief smirk, the ends of her lips still curled and eyebrows slightly raised. This was her signature look, "the smolder'. It didn't particularly matter how long she practiced it in her reflection, so long as it succeeding in making any female (really regardless of preference) into spilling the beans. Pace held the look and locked eyes with the stranger, searching for an answer. If this chick was nuts, she would have to split as soon as possible; how awful would it be to be excommunicated from her father over the wrong lion hearing the ramblings of a loon. Or if there was a band of unwanted visitors hiding in the bushes, she needed to ready herself for battle for she wouldn't be defeated while fleeing!

Jasiri wasn't used to such scrutiny and when Arrows raised her brows at her Jasiri laid her ears back against her head. She wasn't sure Arrows believed her at all and every second that passed that their eyes remained in contact the more nervous she got. For it being their first attempt at the twin game in years Jasiri was failing.

Imara sighed she knew this game had failed just by looking at her sisters posture. There was no point attempting to continue on from here with the method they had intended to use but it could still be a little fun. Slowly Imara started making her way out of the bushes and for several moments the bushes rattled before she immerged to be visible to Arrows. Once she was visible she walked to her sisters side with her head lowered below the height of her shoulders. At her sister side she stopped and grinned at Arrows. "Greetings."

The shaking bushes broke Arrow's concentration.

"What tricks are this?" She asked, taking a step away from the lioness. Now her game was up, she was sure of it. Her goose was cooked, now she'd have to fight these lions and she'd be caught for sure. A pirate pushing her luck ( the maiden's comfort zones) against the force of nature was about to meet her reckoning! But then only one other lion came out- another lioness that looked... On the triple take between the two sisters, Pace knew the ball just dropped right out of her hands and into the other teams'.

Leave it to a pirate to push the maidens beyond their comfort zones, sometimes she found however that it made the new comfort zones more fun. The smolder didn't draw the information out, but what did come exposed also looked more fun, as two was always better than one. Accept for now Arrows was out numbered and while guilt began to ride through her veins like ice, she realized her expression hadn't changed from dumbfounded. At least the new one was smiling.

"Ahoy" She nodded her head, swiveling her ears down. "I didn't realize I was interrupting." A beauty pageant.

Jasiri's confidence rose exponentially when her sister joined her. Her eyes lit up with mischief and while she wasn't good at playing the one lion two twins game she was great at confusion. With a glance to her sister she mimiced her stance with her head lowered and a grin on her maw. There was very little to tell them apart and with them both in the same stance they could have easily just been mirror images of each other.

Even though Arrows expression hadn't changed much Imara could tell that this new development before her had caught her off guard. That was perfect for Imara and now she could really up the shock. She'd played a game on a few lionesses before that really had freaked them out but she'd done it by herself so she wasn't sure if Jasiri would join her or not but she didn't really care either way.

"Oh no you weren't interupting. In fact it would be wonderful if you joined us." Imara replied to Arrows statement in a low almost purr. She stepped forward after she spoke and ever so softly rubbed her head along Arrows shoulder and down her side.

Jasiri didn't move from her position as Imara started rubbing on Arrows. It had been so long since she had been around Imara that this behavior was new to her. She didn't let the surprise show on her face but she wasn't sure if her sister was just playing or being serious in her actions. It almost made her fur stand on end.

This was probably the last thing Arrows would've ever expected, mentally her jaw was on the ground and she was drooling buckets; but she managed to keep herself frozen. ' Duuuuhhhh...... What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?' Panic spread like an atom bomb through her body, nothing like this had actually happened to her before. She was certainly no stranger to another's caress but it didn't come before a name or in front of any others!

A game this was indeed, and it appeared only the newer twin was wining. Jasiri's face spoke volumes to Arrows, at least this wasn't an everyday occurrence in the land of these two walking goddesses amongst the land of thieves and drunks. In this case, Pace was the drunk one, and the mirrored lioness was stealing away her impenetrably suave mojo. She still had to make a move! Hopefully this wasn't one of those crazy cannibal tribes starting an outreach program. But they were awfully good smelling cannibals..

With that, she let the smile she'd been holding back seep out onto her maw, but restrained it from the full grin it wanted to be.

"Ah.. And what be on the agenda?" Her voice was lower now, more corse as she was trying to also restrain a purr from escaping. It was worse than holding in a fart. Going along a little more, she looked over to Jasiri and winked at her.

Imara could tell in small ways she was at least getting to her. Her stiff posture was the first clue and her gruff voice was a clue she was trying to restrain something just what was unknown at the moment. When Arrows finally replied Imara was making her way around to her other side to rub all the way back up her and then nuzzle her head up under Arrows chin.

"Well we were just playing it by ear and seeing where it went."

After a few moments of watching, Jasiri let a mischievious smile settle on her maw. She'd never thought of flirting with females but thinking back on the small amounts of interaction she'd had with her twin it all made sense to why she was doing it. Imara had shown more interest in females over males and she knew she didn't have any cubs so it all made sense.

Jasiri was willing to play along even though she wasn't one to be with females. It was still lots of fun. So when Arrows winked at her she smiled and raised her eye brows in response.

Again, Pace's plan on Jasari was blown back into her face like spit in the wind leaving her dumbfounded. Whoa!! Reality check here, what was happening? The roll nuzzle on her chin set off red flags in all different directions. This had to be a trick; Another crew, trying to destroy Molly's had obviously mistaken her for the weak link of infiltration! Oh no, not today. Especially not in broad daylight, her father had eyes and ears everywhere.

Although she was breathing heavier, her heart was in her throat, her eyes were glazing over and all of her joints felt like putty, she backed up from the lionesses. "When somethin' sounds too good to be true, it usually is." Her own words made her grimace with shock and disgust, they were ash on her tongue.

If she could take it back, she would. But Arrows stood strong in her convictions and took the opportunity of shock to turn around and put as much distance in as little time as she could between herself and the two temptresses.

When Arrows backed away from her Imara gave Arrows a shocked and hurt expression. Arrows didn't even give her time to say anything before she had turned and gone. Imara;s jaw literally dropped as she watched and then after a few moments she slowly turned her gaze to Jasiri with her jaw still dropped. "Wha....? What just happened? I thought she was liking it."

Jasiri's expression was blank when Imara looked at her. She shrugged her shoulders at Imara and sighed. "Sorry Love. It may have been my fault. I'm not a very good flirt with girls." She replied and her ears fell back on her head. She could see Imara really got her pride wounded with the way Arrows acted towards her advances but she just couldn't fake interest in females.

After a moment she walked over to Imara and nuzzled her. "Don't let it get to you though sweetie. She just doesn't know what she's missing out on."
