User ImageIf you hadn't met Eli, then you hadn't known his story. Born to a mute father and blind mother, he and his mother sworn to have known angels and demons. Likewise, his bloodline consisted of 'witches' and 'dragons', so it was no wonder that some things about Eli's understanding of life was out of the norm but he was raised with good standing morals. His mother was taken care of by a hare named Amelie, an eagle named Aiolos and a honey Badger named Addy. Addy, most especially was his mother's 'eyes'. Always at her every step. His father had another feline familiar named Oreon. All of them had some sort of companion and they lived happily with their odd family.. Until Eli and his brother became of age. That's when his family feared him leaving, he was blind like his mother but humbly the wildddog always sought adventure- to seek out these beings of light that plagued his dreams.

Thus, his diet consisted of fish, berries, and other life that didn't consist of killing those of 'land'. Despite only eating from this strange diet, he was fit enough to be on his own. Leaving in the night so that his family was not plagued in watching him go.

Days turned in to months and he learned the hard way how to survive in such fearsome terrain- blind. How he had done it, remained a mystery to those whom sought to help him. In the end, he ended up saving them... Eli was different.. He had something special.. and any heart break or trouble mind- he could calm easily. The wilddog was too nice, the air around him seemed fresher- and even thoughs wanting to attack him, for some reason felt regret. But he did not go unscathed- and that was exactly where he landed tonight..

Under the star filled sky, he was almost running for his life. A family of warthogs gone berserk- but he didn't have time to explain before he had already been tackled by one of them- escaping with a gash across his shoulder- the run was swift but not without faults. Ramming in to trees and bushes before he had time to feel them out- but he didn't ask for help- who 'could' help him! The sweat upon his brow as he glided through the forest, using every ounce of energy he had- pushing forward as even the warthogs were thrashing and crashing through the forest behind him!

A whelp came from him as he tripped over a log that sent him flying them tumbling down.. Trying to hurry and get up, his struggle was hurried by another razor horn against his other side- and barks and tumbling of a mess started to echo through the forest! He'd see his end- he couldn't even see!~ Trying to push his paws against the massive horns as he heard the rest of the hogs coming to aid the one that tackled him.. Was.. this the end?

Anemy was typically known around her siblings as a natural leader. She was a remarkable hunter, brave when danger came knocking, and could bring home a pile of valuble treasures at the end of the day if her mind was set on it. Her senses appeared to be hightened at times, and she didn't dare ignore those in distress. Why, she had rescued a lion once! (Although at the time she didn't know it was a lion and instead thought it was a monster...) To top it all off she was fast. Very fast. So fast that sometimes she thought the wind was jealous of her.

Of course, that being said one would think Anemy as ignorant and self obsessed.
But Anemy didn't hold herself in those standards. She simply thought of her abilities as a gift to be enternally thankful for. See, she looked for one thing and one thing alone, adventure. Thrills, chills, and even battling violent beast was something she always wanted to do as a younger child. Her adolencent pilgrimage was something that gave her exactly the opportunity she had searched for her whole short life.

However, as prepared as she thought she was to embark on her star searching quest, Anemy was sadly self disapointed. She managed to get by. She'd walk all night, only stopping to discovering new creatures she had heard the elders speak of, eating said creatures, and drinking from other water sources than the lake at her home. Was it thrilling? Sometimes. Most times though it wasn't. In fact it was dreadfully boring. The scenery hardly changed, there was no one to talk to, and it was hard to see the stars sparkling above her.

Without the stars she was lost.

See didn't know which way she was going and she was losing sight of her constellation with each passing moon. To make it worse, she was getting exactly what she wanted, bloodthristy monsters hot on her trail. Pigs to be exact (but Anemy knew not what they were.) Growling at them usually fended them off, but occationally the stray one picked a fight with Anemy, that stray lead a whole herd of monsters chasing after the dark pelted dog!

She had learned that fighting them all at once was madness. Moving quickly and swiftly while using her coloring to her advantage typically lead them off her scent. But boy was she humiliated. Becoming prey instead of resuming the title of preditor... Madness.

So when Anemy heard cries of agony, she reacted without hesitation. Bolting through the woods as if she knew it like the back of her paw, avoiding trees, bushes, anything that blocked her path. She caught the scent of a whole pack of the pig-monsters and a fellow wilddog they had targeted. A small, barely visible speck of blood stained the forest floor, but that speck filled Anemy's soul more motivation, more adrenaline than any other time danger had confronted her.

Was she... Mad? No, this surge of energy that pumped through her veins; it was allowing her to forget the speed she was running at and the stress her heart was enduring. It filled her with sheer desire to sink her teeth into one of monster's backs, to rip them apart and chase them away until they finally learned to leave her and whoever else they were tormenting alone. No, she was not mad at all... She was fuming with rage!

User Image When the hogs started coming- which only two were spotted in the crime scene. As they bashed and started to knock out pieces of the log he was under. He couldn't exactly squeeze through the other side and the only way was forward- right in to their tusks. He didn't raise his bark to them- merely tried to maybe get out a 'sorry' or two but that didn't help neither. Then finally he started to push them away, but when he did- they were able to cut slits in his arms and legs when he pushed forward.

This was until he heard someone coming and the hogs adverted their attention away, and for that glimpse moment of them stopping he pushed forward and slipped through the both of them and finally got behind them enough to dodge and begin to run again. He heard the noise too- and ran towards whoever was coming.

"RUN-!!!!" He yelled out.. having not noticed that he literary was running straight forward in a head on collision for the other wilddog without even noticing- but his eyes were plastered opened.

Anemy ran forward with a burst of energy. She was still running on the solid intent of attacking the pig-monsters, and failed to notice that dead in her tracks was Eli. Except instead of running madly to attack the prey with her, he was bolting as fast as he could away.

He was in the way! Poor guy was going to get caught by the monsters and... Wait, that guy wasn't moving out of the way, "AH!!"

Crash! The world started spinning and down Anemy went in a matter of moments. Time seemed slow for one of those short seconds as she paused to breath in and relish all the pain her lungs had already begun to feel. Then, bam, she was on the ground and a new sensation of pain started to tingle down her shoulder blade. "Ouch..." She coughed out, lying still. Her head hurt too, was that where she hit him? She had briefly tried to dodge running into the other dog, but failed.

Anemy whimpered on instinct and raised her head to shake out the dizziness she was feeling. "Hey, what gi-" She began. Then she opened her eyes and... Uh oh. Her ears dropped to behind her head as a look of terror captivated Anemy's face. Those pigs looked mighty close now, and dare she add, hungry?! No choice now, Anemy bolted up and over to where Eli lay. "Go..." She began nudging him with her nose, rather aggressively. The hogs were practically in breaths reach. "Go! GO!!!"

User Image He shook his face- the pain that was surging through his head. "I'm sorry!" He called out- 'facing' around but when he went to get up- the disorientation made him fall right back down. Then he felt her nosing him and faced her. When she yelled- he quickly got to his feet- nudged her- and when he heard the branches snapping close behind him, he darted out of the way of one bashing in to their rumps. Just barely being missed- and jumping out of the way before throwing himself forward.

"Where are you!?" He screamed out- if she needed him, he'd help for sure! But he couldn't see and he found it difficult to disceifer what was her and what was hog. He heard water- perfect. Hogs don't usually go in the water and if chased in- they wouldn't follow.

Well- that was because what lurked in the waters were just as fierce but he couldn't see. Therefore jumped right in to the water and doggy paddling to the other side. Thankfully- no gators. That he felt and once he did felt just the slight rim of rough skin under him. He paniced and quickly paddled through and thankfully on to a rock which lead him enough push to get on top- while a gator snapped at his butt only to jump right on to the next one's head and on to shore. Which he didn't stop there. Running just enough before again realizing that there was another around him and wondered if they got out, Huffing as he didn't hear hooves- just snorts a few yards behind him. Probably on the other side of that river.

"Other! Are you ok! Where are you!" He screamed out.. worried.. and stopped and almost brought himself close enough to shore to be eaten but stopped just a few feet away. Letting his ears fan every which way to catch a glimpse of sound that wasn't a splash or hooves.

So much action XD

As Eli darted away from the group Anemy had turned her sapphire eyes to watch as he swam head first for what she perceived as being the biggest gator within existence. What was he doing? Did he think their was no choice and that he'd rather be swallowed whole then face the tusks of the hogs? As she felt their wretched breathe coarse across her tail Anemy panicked and picked up the speed. She even begun to stretch her legs further with every step. Further, and she could run farther. Further and she could be faster than the hogs as they squealed behind her.

Oh, wait, tree! Anemy slapped her front feet down, nearly doing a flip in the process. As she skidded to a halt Anemy allowed her brain to go hay wire in trying to deduct the path she would rather take. In the end the blue stripped pup had taken two steps to the right before changing her mind and spinning left. Left, where the pond was. Left, where Eli swam through while not receiving so much as a scratch.

Unbelievable. She blinked vacantly in response, but recollected that she needed to continue running for her life and focused more on the path ahead of her. Anemy then came across bushes. Bushes, that as a matter of fact looked faintly as if they could not be penetrated; by the fat and bulky hides of the animals who pursued her. Oh, thank the stars she found a decent hiding spot! Anemy galloped faster and faster, bracing herself for the impact of thorns as she leapt into the bush head first.

Then she proceeded to wait, as the hogs sniffed savagely around her bush. As the hogs tried to move inside. Anemy had bent down low to the ground, flattened her ears and prayed the blackness of her pelt would assist in hiding. She yelped in fear as one's snout peaked through and slashed at it viciously to make them go away.

They must have been very tedious animals to pursue her thus far...

User Image It did not take long before he was in the clear- but ... something was missing? The other dog!? His ears swirved each side to hear her but nothing. Except a high pitched yelp... across the lake he once went- and again he did it to retrieve the panic dog! Without having eyes- sounds were so much more amplified. Hoping on top of the ridged backs of the crocs and hearing them splash and scramble. It was a knack he had, he had good luck in bundles when it came to close calls.

As soon as he neared where all the noise came from- he started to howl.....
A howl that amplified so loudly... that the trees moved and the scattering of animals that went in to a frenzy.. Maybe it was the sound of the odd howl that scared them.. It didn't sound like a normal wilddog that was for sure.. The hogs stopped only to watch the animals scatter. To whom may be more fearful of them- they too began to scramble..

Or maybe because he had howled in to a log......

His milky eyes blinked- although he couldn't see through them. Facing every which way to hear for the wilddog. When he didn't- he did an even louder howl in to the warped wood til even the hogs began to scatter. Then.. he waited...

Hoping he had helped the wilddog escape ..

CaliWolfe
His luck is amazing XD

ohmygosh I'm so sorry! I honestly thought this whole time that I had already tagged this. Clearly I have NOT. ;__;

The howl not only scared the hogs, the wildlife and the crocodiles nearby, but it managed to create an initial reaction of fear in Anemy. She could feel her heart as it thudded against her chest, the tension in her blood rising and her eyes widening in an attempt to see further, clearer.

Gods help her, she couldn't believe this was happening. Something even the hogs feared was coming after her- wait. She paused and listened to the silence for a good moment, taking in the refreshing breath that all the threats had seemingly vanished. But still, the source of the howling creature couldn't be found. Unless... Unless the booming howls was not so booming after all. Only amplified in some way.

The dark pelted pup squeezed her way out from under the bush, wiggling her pelt free from what thorns she could manage to shake off. She hadn't realized how painful hiding had been until now.

"H-hello?" She whispered. She hoped she was right and that the creature causing her unease was the other wild dog she had not seen escape.

User Image He stilled himself, then after a moment he slowly stepped. Carefully. The forest was completely barren now. At least for a mile or two away. His ears swerving and his heightened senses. Til he heard her voice, immediately his paws bolted to her and finally after so much luck. He jabbed his shoulder right in to a tree beside where she hit- sending him flying forward. He yelped and when he landed- started to roll. Branches and leafs breaking beneath him til he was at her paws. Raising his head up and looking the opposite way. "Hello? Hello!?" Sniffing til he turned and faced her way. Eyes completely open but not registering til his nose plainly met her chest.

Sniff sniff.

Feeling the fur. Then he rose a paw to her. "Are you hurt?"

CaliWolfe
No worries

Anemy felt a wash of relief as the other wild dog came charging towards her. So he hadn't gotten eaten by those monstrous hogs and crocodiles after all! What luck!

Her eyes widened as he made contact with the tree, and she took a paw step forward with concern as he began to roll. When he missed that she was completely in front of him, it finally dawned on Anemy that he probably couldn't see anything through those blue eyes of his. For that, she'd excuse that he had just invaded her personal space, again.

"I'm fine!" She told him, forgetting the scraps from thorns along her arms and legs. "But are you okay? I mean... You... You've sure bumped into a lot more stuff than I have." She said this with almost a laugh undertone. It was hard to believe what they had both just survived, the feeling she had now was one of both surprise and joy. Excitement.
