AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM

Name: Emery Rosalie Algernon
Nicknames: Em, Runt, Pup, so on and so forth.
Gender: Female
Age: 16 years old.

Faction: Monster
Race: Werewolf

Natural Ability:
Shapeshifting A werewolf can turn into either their full wolf form of bipedal wolf form compete with hand-like paws. A werewolf can speak in any of their forms thanks to FEAR. When a werewolf is outside Halloweentown, they can only shapeshift under a fullmoon. They also lose the power to speak in their wolf-form until they return to Halloweentown

Personality:
While initially, Emery can come off as timid around a group she's unfamiliar with, she quickly opens up to a new environment, adapting quite well to what will no doubt be a continuous stream of changes in Amityville. She's a gregarious puppy, with a tendency to immediately seek out a group to attach herself to. Prime to go for sports or group activities, Emery considers herself in terms of "the pack", which results in every action being considered for the good of her group, rather than herself.

This can be problematic when paired with her streak of rebellion, which is partially responsible for sending her to Amityville. While grappling with the deeply ingrained need for approval from her alpha father, she longs to stand aside from the pack as an Exemplary Member. It's a tough way to live, both wanting to belong and wanting to stand out of the pack. Her persistence and stubbornness usually leads to long arguments and, in some rare cases, physical attacks. A trait she attributes to her upbringing, she will fight for what she believes in, and in the heat of an argument, doesn't react well to being told she's wrong.

With others, she tends to be bluntly honest without realizing it, and doesn't understand the concept of sugar coating details. When alone or with a small group of friends, her need to be part of the pack can be assuaged, and she's most creative when she's surrounded by other creative monsters. Outside of her deeply pack-oriented upbringing, she loves music. Loves it. And she enjoys being around it as much as she enjoys being around sports fans or jocks. Unfortunately it's a point of contention with her parents, but hey. At least she's not some lipstick wearing girly girl.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Emery’s parents are abhorrently ashamed that rather than take her place in the pack as a proper wolf, Emery wants to spend her life sitting in a dank, creepy AV room with no place to run and hunt and listen to music all day! Unfortunately, only one of their other children has been like this, and he, well… They don’t talk about him anymore. In any case, her parents’ are at their wit’s end. They want their youngest to be a proud member of the pack, to hunt and harvest FEAR like all their other kids. Amityville is their last hope for Emery to become a bright, quick young hunter like her parents’ want her to be.

FEAR Ability:
Hot Mess Frenzy :: When pushed to the absolute brink, either emotionally or physically, Emery can channel her remaining frustration, anger, and strength into her attack, focusing her FEAR on making her faster and stronger to land a much harder hit than she's physically capable of. Physically there is no obvious change, but she becomes more violent and, as the name might suggest, in her frenzy she may, uh... Hit other students.
Sorry guys. :c This will be more easily controlled, or at least her targetting will get better, with age. This is a Gambler's Chance type of FEAR due to the potential for recoiling damage.

Physical Description:
Emery is a scrawny sort of kid, the last in a family of ten so she has some typical puppy scars on her knees and arms from just being a kid. By the tenth one, you don’t really worry much… She’s got a casual sort of style, dressing more for comfort than anything. Unlike most of the people in her family, she doesn’t have an aversion to fabric, and likes dressing in soft, worn, comfy things. Generally she always has a set of headphones around her neck, and her messenger bag with her computer in it for on-the-go DJing.

Eye Colour: Orange.
Hair Colour/Style: Brown and shaggy, with a few streaks of orange in the front of her bangs. It falls about around her shoulders, and is slightly wispy. (See avatar for general idea.)
Skin Colour: Light Brown, reminiscent of the short fur she usually is covered in outside of Amityville.
Clothing Style/Colours: Emery generally wears jeans or jean-like fabric, a pair of black-white-orange high top sneakers that are next to never actually tied, and generally clothes that are shredded or have seen better days. She usually wears a black vest over her shredded shirts that’s too big on her (not comically, but enough to be noticeable) as a reminder of one of her brothers. (It is absent in the avatar for a lack of choices.) She always has a messenger bag on hand with her computer in it, and a set of headphones.
Extra: Typical features of a werewolf; she retains her tail, fluffy and brown, and her ears, equally brown and not quite as fluffy.

Emery's Expulsion to Amityville
Part I / III

The room was thudding loud enough that the door rattled, closed tight and locked against the outside world. Emery was at her desk, CDs in a pile on her desk, chair, floor, and bed as she played with her new toy. She wasn’t sure how long the peace would last, and wanted to get used to the new set-up of the screaming spinner her brother had snuck in. Junior was the best brother. It was light enough that she could pick it up and take it with her to his place, which was awesome, because... Hiding it would be a necessity.

She grinned wide as she set a CD into the turntable and let it go, dragging her claws against the record and blending the songs together, recording it all nearby on her PreCee. Grinning stupidly, she leapt over her chair full of CDs to the separate desk for her PreCee, putting her headphone on to listen to the music closer.

“This is so jackin’ great.” She mumbled to herself, unaware of the furious banging on her door as she set the headphones back on her desk and went back to her new toy, tail wagging furiously. The knocking continued, hard enough to shake the already-shaking door. Em’s ear perked up when she picked it up, frowning, and looked back. “… Oh, sludgesticks.” She swore, turning the turntable off and leaping over to her PreCee to close the program. “Just a second!”

“Emery Rosalie! Open this door!” Jackson growled, shaking the doorknob in an ineffective attempt at popping the lock.

Jack!

“Just a second, Dad!” She yelled, making a mad dash to her desk. She closed the program, and skirted around the piles of CDs in her room, fumbling with the lock. She unlocked the door and leapt back as it swung up, running to the turntable and picking it up, holding it against her chest. “Listen, calm down, I just—“

“We could hear that all the way in the bog, Emery.” Her father growled, glaring more at the offending piece of technology in his youngest’s arms than her. “Where did you get that?” He growled, going over. “Give it here, now.”

“No, Junior gave it to me, its mine-“

“Give it, Emery.” He snapped, yanking the turntable out of her arms. She cringed, sinking back, a growl building at the back of her throat as he examined it, snorting derisively. “Another toy. This is the last thing you need, Emery, we talked about it.” He chastised, hauling the turntable onto his shoulder. Emery jerked, reaching for it sharply.

“Dad you’re gonna break it!” She snarled a little, leaping up to try and grab it from him, claws digging at his shirt to scramble up.

“You don’t need this!” He snapped, pushing her back lightly. “We’ve talked about this. This ridiculous hobby of yours is going to come to an end, Emery.” He growled, lifting it out of her reach. She glared up at him defiantly, fists clenched at her sides, crouching down slightly. He narrowed his eyes. “Don’t start, pup.” He warned, growling.

You talked about it! I don’t remember gettin’ a word in!” Emery snarled a little. “It’s mine!” She snapped. “Mom let me have it and Junior spent two weeks saving for me—“

Jackson growled. “I should’ve known Junior was involved.” Her father grunted, and dropped the turntable sharply. The fur on the back of Emery’s neck went ramrod straight as she heard the sickening crunch. “No! Dad, no, stop, this isn’t jacking fair--” She shrieked, rushing forward to try and stop before—

But she was too slow. Her father stepped on it as well, crushing it into a board of useless tech bits. Her hands flew to her mouth as she sucked in a breath, tears welling in her ears. Her ears sunk back. “… Get out.” She said through her hands, shaking as instinct demanded she attack. Her father growled quietly.

“You will learn to hunt, and you will do as you’re told, Emery.” He growled.

“Get. Out.” She snarled, baring her teeth at him. “You got your way! Now get out!” She slammed her fists against his chest, pushing him towards the door. “Get out of my room!”

“You’re grounded.” He grunted, pushing her back towards her bed. He paused to pick up the broken toy, ignoring Emery’s flinch as she saw the metal records remain on the floor, completely detached. “This is for your own good. You have a responsibility to uphold, pup.”

Emery just glared after him, every muscle tensed, until the door closed behind him. She went to the door, locking it, and snarled low, dragging her claws down the door as she spun around, inhaling sharply and glaring at the room. If she couldn’t attack him…

Downstairs, as he tossed the turntable into the garbage, Jackson glanced up. He wasn’t sure if he was happier to hear the smashing of furniture than the music or not. No matter. This was best for the pack. She’d learn that in time.

So technically this is open for post!

All I have left to add is her FEAR ability, which I'm going to work on today possibly, and then I want to write a small solo (800ish words) on why she's coming to Amityville in the first place, featuring primarily her talk to the Untouchable Brother and her fight with her parents.

Having added Em's FEAR, her form is now done and totally ready for critique-ing.

Fears are always my weakness, so help with that would be aces. ouo

You have a good profile here duke! You mentioned to look over FEAR attack so doing so~

Her frenzy sounds more like Gambler's chance in the fact it can hit back. Gambler's Chance also has more leeway w/ her going bonkers since it's basically about a loss of control.

Personality wise she's all centered on her family and while that is great to help establish her, it doesn't give a great impression as to who she is w/ others. She is a bit skittish, likes music, independent- its all tied w/ her family. Try some journalistic questions.
Anger-Who gets her mad, how does she get mad, why, when does she get upset, how does she cope, what are the exceptions-
Pride- who does she want to show off to, how does she express pride, in her work, in her attitude, why does she have pride, when is she proud, how might this hinder her, what happens when she's shot down?

^while anger and pride might not apply to your girl, try taking, who, what, when, why, how- and apply them to personality traits with people outside of her family. The main idea is that she'll be interacting with students. What draws people in is less her hobbies, but how she's interact with others.

small thing that idr where it is but
'Skin Colour: Brown due to a very short cover of fur, even in her Amityville ‘humanoid’ form.'
^ all students actually have skin rather than fur covering them. Skin color might change to reflect their coats/pelts, but if touched people would feel skin~ Its minor, but worth noting.

DAS ITTTTT
