DoubleRainbowOMG!DoubleRainbowalltheway! Art Title: Sibling Story Art Entry:xxx Story Behind the art: Kefentse relaxes with his sister Paiva while she tells him a story.
Kuchujuka watched from the other side of the den as his siblings played together, rolling around in the cool shade of the den and chasing each other around. Chin tucked in between his tiny paws, the male cub frowned at them. His mother had urged him to play, but he just didn't want to. Every time he played with his sisters, he got hurt! He knew that they didn't do it on purpose, but he was just so fragile. Even though they'd promised to be gentle, he felt like he was just ruining their fun when he tried to join in their games.
It wasn't like he disliked his sisters, of course not! Mindra was fun to talk to sometimes, though she was usually busy sticking her nose in places it didn't belong. Paiva, he found himself getting along with even more. She wasn't as weak as him, but she still preferred to say in the shade and enjoyed some time alone. Kuchu related to her a lot more than Mindra, anyway, and when Paiva would tell him stories, he didn't feel so bad.
The other cubs in the pride had avoided him over time. When he was younger he tried to play with them, but slowly he'd become a little outcast for the most part. None of the other cubs outside of his litter wanted to play with the weak little guy who couldn't run around and keep up with them. The small male actually found more comfort in the company of older lions, adults mostly, who would tell him stories and didn't want to romp and explore.
Looking out from the entrance of the den, Kuchujuka watched as another pair of twin cubs romped in the long grasses with their father, their mother laying to the side watching with a content smile on her face. The male was playing tag with them, though it was obvious that he was holding back as he chased his cubs around and pretended like he couldn't catch up to them. The two cubs, both little boys, squealed in delight at the game.
Frowning a little, Kuchu turned and headed back into the den. His sisters and mother were both out somewhere and he was alone, giving him some time to think to himself. And quickly, his mind began to wander from the cubs he'd been watching to his own father. His mother had spoke briefly of the lion that was their father, how he belonged to another pride and his duties had lied there. When they'd pushed for more questions, she always deflected them.
But the young cub wondered, what could their father be doing that was so important? Why didn't he even come to visit them? Most of the other cubs in the pridelands were raised by both parents. It wasn't like their mother wasn't good. She took care of them very well and was always looking out for them every second she could. But Kuchu couldn't help but wonder at the same time what it would be like to have a father.
A father that would play gentle games with him. A father who's mane he could curl close to when the nights grew cold. A patient father, a smart father. Maybe a brave father. Any father would have been better than no father. He would probably never mention the way he felt to his mother, though. Kuchu knew that she tried hard for them and it would only make her sad. More than anything, the cub felt bitter towards the lion that was their father. He should be here, and it mad Kuchujuka mad that he wasn't.

TastetheRainbow Future Name for Boy: Gušter ĉielarko ((The C is capital, but can't find the one with the little thingy hehe)) Meaning: Guster- Macedonian for Lizard. Cielarko- Esperonto for Rainbow. Well, the belly markings remind me of a snake/lizard markings so I got inspired by that. Then I saw Guster and got excited since I am a huge Psych fan whee. And I hae loved that name since the first season . Then I wanted something involving rainbows, and love the nickname possibilities with Cielarko nwn<3. Personality: Gus is the type to believe in imaginary friends. Though sometimes he has fun just pretending he believes in them. He knows he will never see his father, so he has invented one for himself, and often talks to him. That is why sometimes you can catch him talking to himself. His father isnt the only one he has invented. He also likes to invent friends. Though he need not to since very few others don't like him. He is winsome and innocent. He likes to think he is mischievousness, but he isn't exactly good at it. He is more the type to do something and have others chuckle at him for being silly. Possibly Plot ideas: ~Mother catches him talking to the imaginary father he has created. ~Sibling catches him talking to either the imaginary father or one of the imaginary friends he has.
I have aim and would love sibling rp<3<3. I am not especially good at guild rp inless someone pokes me constantly to remember. But aim rp is good<3.
TastetheRainbow Future Name for Boy: Betoto Meaning: Owl Personality: Betoto is, for lack of a better word, shy. He's quiet, withdrawn, and would probably prefer watching you from a good hiding spot to actually talking to you. He loves observing and taking notes on everything he sees, and has quite the memory. Betoto has a sort of mental black book on all sorts of things, and is surprisingly sneaky. His small size lends itself well to this, though he has to get close out of necessity to his relatively poor eyesight. He doesn't have the same degree as his father does, but he still has difficulty seeing things that aren't fairly close to him. He can see better in the dark than he can during the daytime, and he uses this to his advantage, doing a large portion of his exploratory studies at night as a result. While he's a sweet cub, he has very little knowledge of social graces, and can just be straight-up unsettling or ridiculous at times, and gets embarrassed very easily. Possible Plot ideas: With his general lack of sociability, I think it'd be pretty cool to get Betoto some sort of friend to drag him out of his shell. Beyond that, it would be interesting to see just what all he could do when it came to his categorizing and that sort of thing--maybe he could eventually become a historian. He'd like that a lot.
Your name: Zactura Cub's Name: Betoto Prompt Number: One. Response:
Don't worry about it, Mom says. It's perfectly normal! All the other cubs see just like you do. It's nothing to fret about.
Those reassurances have started to bleed together, and Betoto wasn't sure how he should feel about that. Something seemed odd about this, and he was vastly more inclined toward saying that his mother was lying to him. She wouldn't do that, though--would she? Maybe to protect him? Wasn't that what mothers were supposed to do?
With a huff, the little cub flopped over his chosen rock, wiggling a bit to get comfortable on the warm surface. Should he really be worried about his eyes? Mom was always right, so likely not. While asking all those questions was pretty much standard operating procedure for him, Betoto was starting to get the feeling that pestering his mother about that wasn't the best way to go about finding out information. He didn't want to sneak up on her, either--that just seemed dishonest. He was a good cub.
He'd just have to wait until he was told, then. Betoto stuck his tongue out at the vague tree-shaped object in front of him, swishing his tail behind him in the dust. Waiting. He could do that, though he'd be a bit less than pleased about it.
