Conjurer - Also known as Evokers. Highly attuned to the energies around them, conjurers specialize in offensive energy-based spells; instead of making use of specific elements, such as fire, air, and water, they channel their magic into bursts of concentrated Fear. While their magic is powerful, it's also very volatile, and prone to quickly wearing out its user. Conjurers usually rely on familiars to help enhance or mediate their energy attacks.
Natural Ability:
Invocation - Similarly to Shamans, Conjurers can call upon spirits for advice and counsel. These spirits appear as faded, wisp-like projections. There are some limitations: Conjurers cannot speak to animals, and without the true name of the spirit, the spirit cannot be invoked. Once summoned, spirits can leave at will. A novice conjurer will have trouble maintaining more than one summon per day, while more experienced conjurers may call upon more spirits or speak to them more often.
Personality: Bright-eyed and bursting with energy, Liselotte is always on the go. She doesn't seem to know how to stay still: she runs to her classes, fidgets in her seat, twitches her hands and scrunches up her face and spits out her words in one breath, and when she finally crashes, well, she may have exhausted both herself and everyone around her. Liselotte throws herself completely into everything she does, and she's hardheaded enough to keep trying no matter how many times she fails. She has a strong sense of responsibility and is never one to break a promise -- or back down from a challenge. Her passion can lead to quite a temper, but she's quick to forgive and forget, and is sometimes baffled when others aren't nearly as willing.
Worse than her temper, however, is her constant need to be doing something. Liselotte can be excruciating when bored, and so constantly avails to make sure she isn't. Physical activity, like dancing, sports, and any kind of exercise, is important to her. She doesn't have much patience for sedentary pursuits such as reading or writing, but this isn't to say she doesn't like learning; curious and eager to try anything once, Liselotte learns best by doing. She also enjoys absorbing any kind of trivia, whatever its usefulness, but her overeager trust in people can make her very gullible. (Did you know that the first skellyphone was made by pipelining an electric wire through a zombified block of cheese?)
Liselotte's familiar, Nanabey, keeps her in line. The seemingly ever-present djinn advises and consoles Liselotte, always maintaining her unwavering calm. Compared to her partner, Nanabey appears to be rather lazy; she's content to let herself be carried everywhere and spends much of her time stationary. She is supportive and physically affectionate, but rarely shows investment in much of anything, and tends to regard things with nonchalance or, at best, mild interest. Even her comments can be blunt when not incredibly vague. However, for all her oddities, Liselotte trusts Nanabey without question.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Years ago, Liselotte's younger sister Alicia disappeared without a trace. Before that, she had been acting strangely: she seemed distant, listless, and while the many teeth she had lost from one too many sweets made it difficult for her to talk, she started speaking even less. She wandered off on her own more and more often, until one day, she vanished.
The family searched for her, but with nothing to go on, they were soon forced to give up. Alice was gone. That was what they all believed... Except for Liselotte. Determined to find her sister, Liselotte resolved to continue the investigation on her own. But she worried -- she had yet to summon a weapon or a familiar and had no way to use her Fear. Unbeknownst to Liselotte, someone had been keeping watch over her. On the day she planned to leave, a mysterious voice called out to her, and Liselotte felt stirrings of magic greater than anything she had ever experienced before...
A small creature appeared and offered Liselotte that power, in exchange for Liselotte's cooperation in "maintaining the balance between Humans and Halloween". Wide-eyed, Liselotte agreed, and that day gained Nanabey as her familiar. The djinn's power allowed her to use her magic in ways she never could before. And surely, Nanabey suggested, if Liselotte grew even stronger, she could go out and find Alicia. They say Amityville Academy is well-equipped to help...
FEAR:
Boost Striker - Uses the Gambler's Chance mechanic. Liselotte applies her love of bruteball to battle! With Nanabey's help, Liselotte creates an energy ball and launches it at her opponent with a powerful kick. However, the ball can bounce off of reflective surfaces, and it has the unfortunate tendency to rebound right back at her...
