The Horseman
Name: Eitri
Nicknames: Ei (pronounce 'ay')
Gender: Male.
Age: Appears to be around 25.
Original Clan: Death
Job: Jewelcrafter. However, he prefers to work on weapons/armor rather than jewelry. That's not to say he can't or won't make you jewelry if you ask nicely. He just might grumble about it a little.
Personality:
+ Resourceful/Independant Eitri has never been one to rely on others to carry his weight. He has always done things for himself and always finds a way to do what needs to be done. And while at times this can make him a bit stubborn, he does know to ask for help when he truly needs it. He has a bit of a dislike for those in the clans that prefer to laze about and order others around rather than being useful and while he would never say this outright, he can come off as a little rough towards that kind of person. He is, however, not above speaking such thoughts to those who are of his level or lower. Perhaps giving them a kick in the pants.
Because of his independence and his desire to pull his own weight, Eitri is persistent. He will keep pushing at a problem until he either solves it or he has to ask for help; which is a big deal. Though it doesn't stop there. He's persistent in his relationships. If there is a mutual hatred, that's fine. If Eitri hates the person, that's fine. If Eitri likes the person and they hate him? Not fine. He will try and push past that issue and win them over. Which can perhaps sometimes get him into trouble and sometimes can work.
+ Friendly/Loyal Eitri is generally a nice person to be around. He isn't one to dwell on things that have upset him and he generally tries to help someone if they're in a problem. While what happened upset him deeply; he took is as a blessing. It brought the clans together and now they have a purpose of sorts. One that he sees as important and is always trying to remind others of. They'll rebuild their homes. They'll be strong again. Don't give up. They will have their vengeance. All good things come in time. It is this that keeps him going through the days and keeps him working even when he wants to stop. It will all be worth it in the end.
He's quite loyal to those he calls friends and even those he's only met once. While he may dislike some of the members of his clan, he would rather see himself fall before letting any of them die on the battlefield. Which, at times, can get him hurt or in the way of others.
- Impatient/Restless Eitri doesn't like to waste time. Time is money and time is power.. or however that human saying went. Wasted time is time that could be spent doing something useful. He doesn't like sitting around doing nothing, he doesn't like discussing things when there is action to be had. He doesn't like being still. Sitting around talking, to him, is just as bad as those that sit around and give orders to everyone else. Not to mention it's boring to talk things over.
- Short-Tempered Friendly as he may be, it's easy to tick Eitri off. Not that he'd turn around and punch you in the face right away; but he might turn around and scream profanities at you before tossing you out of the room. If you continue to annoy him, you'd feel his fist or the butt of his hammer. He doesn't back down from fights and he won't admit he's in the wrong even when he is if his buttons have already been pushed. It's not easy to calm him down; probably best to just leave him be for a day or so.
+/- Obsessed with Smithing Eitri is a little bit obsessed with smithing. Okay, maybe a lot. While it might be all he talks about sometimes it also means he puts a lot of hard work into what he does. Still, once you get him started on the topic, it's hard to get him to stop...
+/- A little dull.. When it comes to anything scholarly, Eitri is at a loss. Don't expect him to hold a conversation about such topics. Talk about the weather, the latest gems he's cut or his preferred method of forging. While this means sometimes he can be a little dull.. It also means he won't look down on you if you're in the same boat as him and he's also not likely to catch on to the fact that you're intelligently insulting him right away, either.
On the attack: When their home was destroyed, Eitri was away on a mining and smithing expedition. When he returned, he was distressed; thinking he was the only one left. Eventually, he found the rest of the members and joined their ranks again. It took him quite some time to get over the fact that he wasn't there - to stop blaming himself for every single death. He immersed himself into his work and for quite some time it was the only thing he did.
Eventually, he learned to not dwell on the past and that it wasn't his fault. Some things were just out of his control. He began to reach out to the other members of the clan and create relationships and bonds. It got to the point that he could get through most days without thinking about what happened; or at least not getting upset about it.
Mount Form:
A very pale clydesdale horse. It has runic-type markings dyed into her hide that appear to be more solid than her actual body. Its hair is long and whispy - almost appearing as if made of fog.
Weapon Form: A curved sickle, expertly carved and crafted. The hilt is bound by leather and the blade has etchings of runes and sigils.
FEAR Ability: Stop! Hammer Time ;; Battle Cry Eitri summons as much strength as he can to deal a strong blow to his opponents.
Physical Description: He's got a stocky build - though most of his weight is in his upper body, specifically his arms. His skin is hardened from his work and has quite a few scars for someone who doesn't enter the battlefield quite often.
His nose was broken once and set badly and is now crooked. Not something that is super noticeable or something that has put it too askew but it does have a bit of a bump/odd shape.
While he's not the most attractive horseman to exist - he's not ugly. The kind of looks that if he came up to you and worked his charm the chances of you calling him a creep aren't as high.
Eye Colour: Emerald green.
Hair Colour/Style: Rusty red with hints of reddish brown. It appears like a mohawk with a braid at the back that's bound with leather bands. x No facial hair - it gets itchy in the heat.
Skin Colour: Tanned; coal dust smudges a plenty. His hands are calloused. He's got upper arm strength from his smithing and mining but his lower body could perhaps use some work - not to say it's not muscular just it's not as muscular as his upper body. He's got a lot of scars along his arms from carelessness; but the important ones are
- An injury from a bear encounter. He got cocky and he paid the price that was a nice gash to his bicep. The scar is thick and jagged. x but only scars from 5 claws rather than a million.
- A cut above his left eye - just above the brow - a rock fell on him while he was mining. Small enough that it didn't knock him out - but sharp enough that it did a bit of damage.
Clothing Style/Colours: Gonna leave this mostly CC. I know traditionally Death horseman where a lot of layers / fur but I'd like to go in a different direction. Mostly because he spends most of his time around furnaces that I think he'd die under all those layers with that heat. Putting him in light armor is totally fine, since he's likely to wear stuff he's made to show it off. He can have /some/ fur.
Bare chest would be pretty spot on if that's allowed. Spaulders are pretty ******** cool & can be made with animal skulls & fur linings. Colours I'd like Dark brown leathers + emerald green accents. Metal should be dark silver. Like perhaps an emerald green sash or cloth belt. Just small bits and pieces that are green.
Lots of pouches around his waist. Like a utility belt.
