Chandran had finally come to the realization that he probably was never going to marry the ever elusive Niyati. His pink, glittery goddess... well she was no where to be found. She was at least three steps ahead of him because even when he'd ran into a lion or lioness who'd seen her they had no idea where she'd went. He'd gone even longer than any normal lion would with delusions that he'd be able to find the mother of his cubs and woo her into actually staying. Actually being a family. He'd denied the very idea that Niyati didn't actually want anything to do with him because he didn't want the feelings of heart ache and depression to wash over him... especially with his little ones always around.

They were bigger now... big enough where he felt comfortable leaving them on their own and... and well he'd gone off that morning so he could mope by himself. No point in making them worry, right? The starry maned lion's head hung low was he moved through the tall grasses of the savannah, trying to figure out what to do next.

"Probably go back home..." He spoke softly to himself, though he had no way of knowing that going back home would be a pretty big shock and disappointment too.

Since leaving her tiny, xenophobic pride in the depths of the rainforest belt in search of her troublesome sister, Kawasemi had come across so many amazing things! It was hard to believe the world was so big sometimes and that it contained so many things that she couldn't even begin to fathom. So many lions of different sizes and shapes with different beliefs and ways of living! Though a part of her was always homesick for the beauty of her pride--a tropical biome that she carried with her always in the exotic coloration of her pelt--there was still another part that never wanted to go back.

Laughingly following a family of slinky, long bodied cats that ran like the wind, they took turns leaping graceful arcs over one another in a carefree game of leapfrog. It was those cats she had come to know as Cheetahs, a word that still felt funny and foreign on her tongue, that had lead her deep into the savannah grassland before they had parted ways. Sad though it was to part ways with new friends, Kawa found that every ending was the beginning to something new she just had yet to find it.

Her gaze followed the milling herd beasts as they grazed, finding their sheer numbers an almost overwhelming sight. There were prey animals like them in the rainforest, but none that traveled in such huge numbers. Taking care to give them a wide berth lest they scatter, the slender lioness turned her attention instead on a dancing sparkle of color in the distance. Like dew on a spiderweb. Whatever it was, Kawasemi had honed in on it, charging eagerly to investigate.

He took a deep breath and frowned deeply, stopping. He was aware he'd had some confidence issues growing up, felt a little shy around others and maybe a bit weird because he'd grown up as the odd one out in his family… but this felt like a whole new level of self pity! What was he even doing? If Niyati wasn't to be found anywhere and wasn't interested in letting him find her then he really needed to move on with his life.

He'd not fully been an adult when Niyati had… seduced? him. And now he was a fully maned male, his cubs were almost at the age he'd been! It had been long enough, right? Even making such a decision was easy… but how did he get over her? It's not like he could instantly do it after deciding on it, right?

As he started to walk forward again his gaze caught on the sight of a female lioness not too far off now. Mostly he caught sight of the hint of bright blues, and oddly… oddly it made him a little homesick for his family.

She seemed to be heading his way at a quick pace. He cleared his throat and took a moment to be able to have a smile on his maw before moving forward maybe to meet her half way or something. Socialization could be good, right? "Hey!" He called out.

Kawasemi's eagerly bounding strides towards the sparkle that had triggered her curiosity was rewarded when the target veered in direction to begin approaching, closing the distance between them that much faster.

As he came forward, she quickly realized that the sparkle was from the mane of the magnificent lion taking shape before her. Awestruck by the beauty of him, the lioness' ghostly blue eyes glittered with fascination, unable to do much more than stare at him when she had finally drawn close enough. Upon closer inspection the plush growth better resembled the vastness of a twilight night rather than dewy spiderwebs, a treasure Kawa had only recently discovered since leaving her home where a thick canopy of foliage had prevented her from ever knowing how stunning the sky was.

Small, dark ears flicked attentively, curious as to the reason of his shout though whether negative or positive it didn't keep her from reaching out with one paw--her forelegs exotically colored like a pair of mismatched socks-- to touch the puff of mane at his chest, crooning with a wiggle of delight. Id'r ru rulld!

He hadn't been expecting her to be so willingly outgoing, going as far as to reach a paw out to him. Certainly some would consider that rude, but mostly he was intrigued. Especially when the sounds tumbled from her maw, they sounded like they might be words, but not in any language he'd heard before. How interesting! "I'm sorry, I don't understand!" She could have been saying anything, for all he knew. Well, a number of things at least. Obviously she hadn't declared she was going to murder him, or she would have done it by now.

"You're quite beautiful… is that the only language you speak? Is it a language? I wonder how I'd find that out… maybe you have a pride around here?" He realized he was probably speaking much too much and quite a bit too quickly. "DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?" Each syllable was annunciated with the utmost care.
