Sometimes it wasn't fair, being a Gypsy Lord. He could never fully join the ranks of the normal members of the pride, and there were still those who treated him differently because of his status. All Asker wanted was to be a normal patron, fighting alongside his fellow warriors, working his way up through the ranks like everyone else. But instead he had the added burden of having to be the Queen's son. The young male often wondered what his life would be like if he had been born to a different member of the pride. He loved his parents dearly, but sometimes he wanted a bit of a different life. However, there was no point in concerning himself with "what ifs" when his real life demanded his attention, Asker reminded himself. Especially so close to the border. He liked patrolling the borders of the pride land. It made him feel like he was a real patron. The blue male never ran into any trouble, due to the pride's well-hidden location, but every day presented new opportunities. Asker had sent his familiar, a hawk named Hurik, to go scout ahead a little bit. The bird would warn Asker if there were any dangers ahead. Until then, the male was content with making sure there wasn't any suspicious trails or paw prints along the border lines.

She had been on the boarders of this pride for a long time now. She never got close enough that the guards or patrols, whatever it was, were too alarmed of her. Nisrine never tried to strike up a conversation with the others, either. The pink female was trying to figure out if she wanted to be part of this pride. However, she couldn't ever get at least one member alone to see what it was about. They had a good energy about them, and the smell of the sea drew her to it. Today, however, she was going to get to the bottom of this pride of colorful lions. As she approached, the headpiece and earrings chimed with each paw step. Kind of a dead give away. That's when she saw a little blue... male? out in the distance, inspecting the ground. "Hello there!" she called out, blue eyes bright. She was trying to look as non threatening as possible.

Saint Sergio I just gotta say, I LOVE all her pink! Asker sniffed at a faded track, roughly about the size of his own paw. Closer inspection revealed that it belonged to one of the patrons, though it was odd that it seemed to be heading out of the border. Perhaps they had needed to investigate something. The sound of jingling made his ears p***k. Definitely jewelry, meaning it could be just about anybody in the pride. But as he listened more closely, Asker realized that the sound was coming from the other side of the border. His green eyes shifted around, looking for the source of the noise. It wasn't exactly hard to find. A bright pink lioness stood out against the landscape, approaching him slowly. The young lord straightened up at her greeting, shaking the furry strands of his half-man out of his eyes. He couldn't wait till the full thing grew in. Hopefully it would mean his neck would stop itching all the time. Asker looked over the female, a neutral expression on her face. She seemed harmless, but Asker knew from his mother and sisters that females could often be deceiving with their smaller sizes. They were fast, and could deliver quite the blow if their target was unguarded. But this stranger had done nothing to hide her approach, suggesting the likelihood of more friendly intentions. So Asker would reciprocate. Friendly but cautious would be the best way to go. "Greetings, stranger. What brings you this way?" She could just be lost, wanting some directions.

Aaah, so he was one of those boys who walked with caution. Very good. Blue eyes flashed lightly as she put on her best smile and approached still. The jingling of her head piece like music to her ears. It seemed not everyone was laid back in this pride. That was good. Sighing as he asked his question, the pink female just shrugged lightly and watched him. "I was thinking about joining. I've been watching for a few days now, wary of a pride and all, but..." A shrug pulled her shoulders up and then down as she relaxed them. "I'm not a girl who does well by herself for very long. Something about his place called me to it. I didn't stop walking for literally days until I found the boarder. At first I thought it was drawing me to the ocean pride not too far away, but no.. The spirits, what have you, were pulling me to this pride. This specific one."

Asker balked a little. She wanted to join? A rogue joining the pride...he knew there were protocols for such things, but calling them to memory was difficult. Make sure they weren't a threat, obviously. The young male weighed the stranger's words. The spirits had guided her to this specific pride? Not their allies, the Bahari? Perhaps she was some sort of seer. If she had received a vision of this pride, then Asker would be very rude to not welcome her. In any case, the Kizingo were welcoming of all guests, whether they were visiting for a short amount of time or if they planned to stay permanently, like this rogue lioness. "Very well. Let me be the first to welcome you to our lands. I am Cold Fire, son of Queen Fireheart." He dipped his head in greeting, stepping aside a little to let her pass over the border. "Let me escort you to the main cove. The territory can be a little confusing to navigate." Asker had gotten lost plenty of times before finally learning his way through the vegetation. He flicked his tail, gesturing for her to follow as the male began trotting along the direction he had come. "How much do you know about our pride? Perhaps I can answer any questions you have while we walk?" He should probably talk to her about initiation, Asker thought suddenly. It would help her be a little more prepared when the time came.
