So last night was the last performance of the Fringe-festival theatre show I was working on.
And then in the evening there was an awards ceremony. 10 awards and we were nominated for 2.
One was for scenic design. I was honestly surprised we even made those nominations.
The other was for best English play. But I knew we couldn't win because our title was "******** You! You ******** Perv!" and the award meant a showcase in the city's biggest English theatre. They would never put on a show with that title.
But out of 10 nominees, we were the 1st runner-up.
It was a late event. Took a while to get home and it was pouring rain so I got soaked and got home at 1:30am.
This morning at 8:30am, I'm woken up by my building's fire alarm.
Get dressed, grab my purse. Go get MacDonald's for breakfast. Get back, eating my breakfast outside, firemen leave (5 trucks showed up). Turns out the alarm was set off because it's so hot and humid.
It's a holiday here today. So much for sleeping in.

our smoke detector malfunctioned the other day at 2am. We were told it probably just overheated we were told to open all the windows. Having our windows open for the day meant the next day the campus cat managed to break into our living space, I live on the 2nd floor, I'm not sure how the cat even made it into our window. Though we're guessing someone let him climb into the stairwell.

I DON"T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! crying ALL I WANT IS THE 5$ CATCH BASKET OF THE FRIED HADDOCK THEY GOT AT LONG JOHN SILVERS since I LOVE FISH AND IT LOOKS SOO GOOD AND CHEAP@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
