 Taya picked her way out of her den, made of the rib cage of a long-dead rhino with pelts draped all over the top of it, to do some morning rounds. She had plants to check, and her cubs were fast asleep. It pleased her to know that they were safe, and while two had gotten sick, they eventually got better and showed no signs of the disease. She was proud of her little cubs. One of the apparently-immune girls would make a good addition to the pride.
She found a plant to soothe her throat, chewing on it thoughtfully as she sat down, gathering some of it up to put in her bag. Today was... Pleasant, as pleasant as it could be when one was ill. Always ill... She frowned, scowling more at herself for spoiling her own rare good mood, before turning and spitting the gunk from the plant out. She'd have to find someone to put a smile on her face at this rate... |

Brauna was up to her plaiting ways once more! Jabez was out scouting, and she had not been given a shift with him this time. She liked it best when they worked together, but she knew it wouldn't always be so. This left her on her own in the den areas, still relatively new to the pride and it's ways. She was finding that she truly enjoyed creating natural jewelry for others, most especially those who suffered from the touch of Pestilence. She still wasn't entirely sure how she felt about this unseen goddess who chose to show... was it favor?... in this particularly brutal way. Still, she loved the pride and would not speak openly against its patron goddess.
Her deft paws were currently using sinews from yesterday's meals to braid more bracelets. She'd found some lovely seeds that were a deep red color, and these she was knotting into the strands as she plaited them. She'd already finished one, and was halfway through another when she heard someone coming by. She looked up with a warm and welcoming smile, ready to meet a new friend. "Good morning!" she called brightly to the lioness with the odd facial marking. Huh, how interesting! "How is your day so far?" It didn't matter much to the leopardess that she hadn't yet met this lioness. Everyone she met was treated as a friend already. It simply was her way. |
