Kyra yawned as she took off on her first actual tour of the pride. She'd been around once or twice before, but only in a small area. Apparently new members were 'quarantined' for a while before they were allowed to fully enjoy the pride. Kyra thought that was stupid, but now that she was free of the quarantine, she could care less. The only thing on her mind anymore was finding something fun to do. Maybe another duel, or some friends? She'd met that guy Kasoro, but rumor had it he'd found a lady. Said lady probably wouldn't want another lioness stalking around her man. Even less so, a younger female. Smirking at the thought of being mistaken for an object of jealousy, Kyra snorted aloud. That would definitely be a sight to see, but she definitely didn't feel like starting any trouble. Especially when she'd just gotten off of probation. No, for now she would settle for just a little bit of talk. Anything at all! The trouble with that was, she couldn't seem to find any, anywhere.

He was. Well he was bored today. Plamen had nothing to do with his time. The lion training him had given him a day off. Now he was wandering aimlessly through the pride. He could train, but he really didn't feel like doing that. It would be best to avoid the training grounds then. He already knew most of the water sources close to the pride; while he could go look for a new one, chances are someone had already found it. It may or may not impress his mentor. He didn't think going further out would really impress him either.
Past the training grounds, and in a pretty quite area he spotted a red female. She wasn't someone he knew and looked like she might be an apprentice too. Plamen turned his paws to head toward her. "Hello. I don't think we've met before. I'm Plamen'Bharata.

Her feet were moving, but she had no idea where she was headed. Most liekly, she was going in circles ... but she had no proof of that. Yet instead of obsessing over whether she was really going in circles, she decided to look as though she knew exactly where she was. Her posture was straight, her gaze strong. If that wasn't enough to say 'I know where I am' she would have to give up. It was at this point that a new lion appeared before her, her ears perked as he drew closer and her tail flicked in interest. He was red, just as she was, with some very odd markings along his legs. And his mane?! Well that was simply fantastic! Blended well between both red and blue, he was definitely a sight for sore eyes. "Hi!"She mouthed happily, lifting a paw to wave in greeting. "N-No I don't think we have met ... i'm sorta new here!" Kyra paused a moment, to take in his name. It was definitely a mouthful! "My! That's ... quite a name ... is it short for something?" As she began to laugh at her own joke, she realized she hadn't introduced herself. "My name is Kyra! It's nice to meetcha!"

Depawsit I think his mane is black or a really dark red. XD He bobbed his head, since he was walking on his paws, and grinned. Growing up here he knew a lot of the lions. Meeting someone new in a day was always a plus!
"Great! Has anyone shown you around yet?" Not that he was going to ask if she was lost or anything. Or maybe she wanted to learn the lay of the land on her own. It could have been a task her mentor set her too. He laughed at her joke.
"It is something isn't it? Plamen is fine." He stuck his tongue out at her as she introduced herself. "My isn't that short for something?" He could tease right on back. "Likewise Kyra! My mentor let me off the hook today and I needed something. What about you? Got a mentor yet?"

"No, not yet. I was just trying to show myself around. But I think i'm a little lost..."She blushed lightly under her coat at her admission. She really didn't like to admit she was wrong or lost, or anything negative. She was awesome, and awesome was a positive! "Plamen? I like that, does it mean something special?" Pausing for a moment, she thought nothing of any possible offense. "Most long names ... are family names or they have special meaning.Kyra cocked her head back a bit at his playful jab, but quickly stuck her tongue out at him instead. "No, its definitely not short for anything. And no ... I don't have a mentor. Am I meant to have one? I ... I wasn't told anything about a mentor."magnadearel XD A typo! Sorry, don't know where blue came from ._.

Depawsit Hahah red and blue is pretty! razz Ah she was lost. Plamen smiled reassuringly at her. "Not a problem! I can get you sorted out in a jiffy. See I grew up here. So back the way I came is the training grounds, and over behind you is the dens." He wanted her to feel at home as quickly as possible. Now it was his turn to blush.
"Yes Plamen means flame or fire, and Bharata means being maintained." He was incredibly proud of his meaning. "What about you?" Some rogues that joined didn't have names that conformed to the pride. Some changed some didn't.
"Oh! Well that's good." He giggled as she stuck out her tongue too. "Really? Hmmm most of us know to go looking. You probably haven't picked out a job either?" He looked at her for yay or nay. "Normally once you become an adol you choose what job you want to train for and go look for a mentor."

Kyra offered up a sweet smile to the male, as he came in and swooped her off her feet. He was like those heroes in stories! He came in and told her exactly what she needed to do! If it wasn't so forward she likely would have hugged him, but she wasn't about to do that. Things like that were silly, and only for stories. They had no place in reality. "Thank you! I had no idea where the training grounds were. I'd only heard of them."Looking down at the dirt, she felt a little ashamed to not know such essential information about her new home. It made her feel weird, and weak. "Well, I don't think my name means anything special. Come to think of it, I don't even know what my name means." Shrugging it off, she quickly jumped into Plamen's next comment. "Oh no! I picked a job, but I didn't know I needed a mentor. I don't even know where it start looking ..." Another frown creased her face, but this time she picked up her head and questioned him on it. "You don't know where I could find a water-seeking mentor ... do you Plamen?"

He perked his ears. She didn't know where the training grounds where? They were like the center of the pride! "C'mon! Let's go check them out! There's like always some lions training there." He lifted his paws as he gave a small prance. Helping a pride member felt good! That she didn't seem to mind his help, and was actually grateful made it even better. Plamen started walking back the way he'd come from. It seemed he was going to the training grounds today whether he wanted too or not. His present company made it a fine proposition.
"Aawwww that's too bad. We should give it a meaning." The bright red adol thought for several steps, sneaking glances at her. Divided reds on her body, and bright red spots, and that bright yellow tail. It was like the sun against.... against.... well he had no idea. "How about 'Spark'? Sparks have to come before a fire." Now that he said it, it sounded really stupid.
He was glad to hear that she'd already picked out what she wanted to do. "I'd be happy to point you in the right direction Kyra. What job did you want?" Plamen blinked then laughed. "Of course I know! I'm training to be a water-seeker too!" He beamed at her. This was going to be easier than he thought!

Kyra's tail flicked in anticipation as Plamen offered to take her to the training grounds. "OK! That sounds like fun! I can learn some new tricks too!" She giggled, sounding as innocent as she could. But deep down she was a warrior, and she was proud to show it. As the two walked towards the training grounds, Kyra's tail was flicking back and forth excitedly, hardly giving her rear a break. She liked this guy, not only was he helpful, but he was just like her? "I LIKE IT!" She beamed, her voice higher than she had intended for it to be. "Spark. My name now means Spark, thank you Plamen!" Grinning from ear to ear, she bumped her side into his and nuzzled against he cheek for a split second before pulling away. "Heh, sorry, I got a little excited there." Thank goodness her fur was as red as it was, otherwise she would be even more embarrassed than she was now. Thanks to her own over excitement, Kyra was now trying to separate herself as far from her new friend as she could. She didn't want a repeat incident. But when he revealed his rank to her, she couldn't help but get close to him once again. "No way! You're training for the same thing! That's so cool! I bet you're really good at it since you've got a mentor!"

"Yeah anytime you wanna train, just come here and ask. Someone's always willing to spar." He didn't come here nearly as often as he should. Maybe if he had a friend to drag him along he might do that more. While he had learned to fight, he wasn't much of a fighter; which was why he'd become a water-seeker in the end. It was an important job for the pride. "I'd be cool if you wanted to practice on me. My skills could use some improvement there too." Awkward to admit, but it was true.
Plamen laughed at her excited reaction. At least he hadn't offended her. "You're most welcome! Glad I could help." And he was. If she was happy, she would adjust to life with them that much better. The bright red male purred as he got a nuzzle for his efforts. Embarrassing yes, but in a good way. "It's good to be excited Kyra." Red fur was definitely a blessing here.
"Sure am! I can show you where the water seekers hang out and get you in since you're new." Now he ducked his head with a blush. "Aawww not that good really. I'm still learning a lot. Say once you get a mentor we can compare notes and things." Today had turned out alright. Plamen was glad he'd come the way he'd had and met this new lioness. Even better when they'd get to work together.

Kyra's excitement was bubbling like crazy with each word that Plamen spoke! It was almost like he knew exactly what she wanted to hear, but she knew that was impossible. It was all just simple coincidence and nothing more. She just had to accept that. Oh! That would be a ton of fun wouldn't it?!" Kyra's tail flicked excitedly behind her as she spoke. "Well it would be as long as you're not scared of being beat by a girl!" Kyra bounced excitedly on her front paws as she stuck a playful tongue out at her new friend. Finally she seemed to settle as the two walked, and she began to listen intently to Plamen's words once more. Nodding appropriately, and trying to take mental notes. Especially of their walking direction. If she ever wanted to come back to this hangout he spoke of, she would need to have a good mental image of where it was located. "Thank you so much Plamen," She replied with gratitude at his comment. She couldn't express how happy she was that someone was willing to take her under their wing. Especially someone who seemed to be quite like her. At Plamen's honest refusal, she bumped him gently on the shoulder. "Oh come on now! Don't play coy with me! I bet you're a lot better than you're letting on, aren't you?" Kyra eyed him with suspicion as he continued on. "Oh definitely! We would be like an unstoppable team! Finding all the water before anyone else could catch up to our trails!"

"Nope, not at all. The female soldiers whomp me all the time." He gave a laugh. One female was as good as the next. Plamen shook his head. "Oh no, ask the soldiers. They'll tell you how easy I am to beat." The young male perked his ears. "I'd love to work with you any time Kyra." He came to a stop and gestured with his paw ahead of them.
"Here we are. This is where all the water-seekers tend to hang out. As an apprentice you'd be welcome here any time too." He gave a grin. "Ready to go in and introduce yourself?"
