Race: Drowned -- similar to several species of Undead, except for the fact that these people had the misfortune to drown and ended up ghosting.

Natural Ability: Mist Form: Alexis can dissolve into a faint mist, similar in composition to a cloud-- ...but rainier. They can communicate in this form, but it's a very quiet whisper. [up for suggestion!! this is a shitty racial ability and i don't like it but i am not very creative.]


Personality: Alexis isn't much of a people person. They'd say they're not much of a person, either. but that'd be a lie -- they're quite a character. Alexis Tucker (did they have a middle name? they can't recall, they think they might have) is an intriguing figure, although they know little and care even less (at least...that they're willing to admit). Lying isn't precisely second nature, but it's close enough that they enjoy it, take pride in it, will lie their a** off about anything and everything. It's not that they enjoy lying - they simply enjoy stringing you along, to see how much they can make you believe. People who can be manipulated are interesting to mess with, aren't they? Precisely. It's not that they don't like you! It's just sort of their method of communication.

Alexis is a little s**t, first and foremost. They say what they think, and it's hard to determine if they genuinely have no empathy for other people or if they say it to get a rise out of others. It's actually a mix of both -- yes, they have absolutely no tact, but you're amusing when you're frustrated! Haha. They're not an especially emotional person, not that they'll let others see; but it's quite easy to break that down and make them emotional. They don't take insults very well, despite how much they love doling them out to others. Emotionally, despite what they'll try to imply, Alexis is about as tough as tissue: they take a lot of things straight to heart, and that hurts. They're ashamed of it, and they hate it, but some people are just a lot more sensitive than others. Alexis? On the sensitive end of the spectrum, about as far from unaffected as is possible.

Generally, Alexis isn't a very good friend. They're not easily distracted, but there's usually something they'd rather be doing than hanging out with you. No offense, it's just that you're not that interesting! (It's probably meant to offend, actually. Trial of acid: if you like them after the barbs, you might be friends.)

Generally, Alexis is a good person, if they can muster up the concentration for it. They're confused and scared, and hide a lot of that via cruel jokes and the like; but they're still a very young ghost, and so much of this is new that not remembering anything else terrifies them. Alexis does care! They're just really, really bad at having the proper emotional responses to situations.


Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Well: it's there! Alexis doesn't have much to do. They're confused and sort of lonely and, eugh, kind of cold. If a ghost can be cold. They just...want something to make sense, even if it's a messed-up, crazy sort of sense. It's school. They went to school, didn't they? It's their anchor to the fact they're still a person, and if everyone there is approximately the same age, they can reestablish their personhood. Become someone. Become someone they like a little better than the damp ghost they've started out as.

FEAR Ability: Deep Water [Headlights type]-- Alexis makes the target feel as if they are at the bottom of a body of water. They have trouble breathing, and feel pressurized and lightheaded. This is a purely mental effect, which then affects the body: stronger-willed or just plain dumb enemies are unaffected.


Physical Description:
Basically? Tired, skinny, androgynous ghost teenager. Soaked to the bone; like someone turned a fire hose on them and then pushed them in the pool. (For the record, their missing eye is an exaggeration of a pre-death blind eye due to a chemistry accident, but that's not relevant.) Dumb ghost teenager with hair that's never seen a brush.

Note: they didn't drown in a sea or anything, they drowned in a pool; so they lack a lot of the 'drowned water ghost' markers. Like being a fish or...having seaweed. That sorta stuff.
Eye Colour: Hazel, leaning more towards green. Shadowed deeply.
Hair Colour/Style: Tousled, brown, shoulder-length and curly.
Skin Colour: Very light teal-green-blue-white. Transparentish. About #8FD1B7.
Clothing Style/Colours: Alexis is simple -- they wear a long-sleeved shirt (thin and wet and clingy, striped white-and-black); as well as a pair of dark jeans, water-stained. They wear a black eyepatch over their missing eye, and a brown pair of lace-up boots.
THIS IS UP FOR DEBATE. I wouldn't mind a more Victorian style of dress for them!
Extra: Alexis is missing their left eye, with bits of muscle and skin missing from the socket; rendering some bone visible. They're also quite freckled. They're always dripping water, and the ends of their clothes are sodden. Generally they look...watery and skinny, although with a bit of muscle behind it.
