Zar let her but didn't budge an inch, his smile broadening. "You won the fight, m'lady. You didn't win my subjugation."

"You are absolutely infuriating Zaram," Lily was dead serious this time. She sunk her nails a bit deeper along his scalp, an affectionate gesture turning angrier.
 

[Baneful]

Zar let her once more, but with inherent wariness. "Now now m'lady, there's no need for further violence. I conceded. Don't make me have to call for a teacher. That would be most inconvenient, I am not certain how it would aid student and horseman relations to have a student attacked."

He curled his tail. "I ask you, do you want that kind of trouble?"

"Maybe I do," Lily still withdrew her nails from his scalp uncertainly. "Maybe I like the chaos?
 

[Baneful]

"You are free to enjoy violence as much as you wish. I just ask that injuries to my person are not part and parcel of it." He gave her a sweet smile. "Now, that favour, do you want it or not? Because asking me to pretend I am subservient would use it up. And you'd get nothing else."

 

[Saliru]

"I don't need to waste my request on something that should be inherent. I beat you. Now I need you to assist me in a business. One belonging to me and my brother." She raised both brows at Zar in hopes that might have nudged him back in his place. "As you know we are artisans."
 

[Baneful]

Unfortunately it hadn't nudged him back into his place as he openly flouted. "Of course, I am aware of what you both do, and I am only too willing to aid you in your ventures, whatever they may be. However. That does not mean I am a servant of any sort."

He shrugged. "Now, I tire of this discussion m'lady, I will not kneel or bow but I will give you the reward you are due."

Lily set her jaw tightly, mouth forming a single line of irritation. "Do you remember the way?"

"Indeed I do~" he purred. "Is that code for, let us go, my dear Zaram?"

 

[Saliru]

"Don't push it Zaram." She looked at him expectantly.
 

[Baneful]

With a beckoning curl of his tail, he sauntered on ahead.

Lily stared at the tail as she followed. She hated that tail so much right now.
