Careless Digging

The Digging Duo are famous in the Galar region as being experts of archaeology, the brothers selling their talents to anyone who has the cash to fork over. They have been known for finding treasures ranging from golden nuggets to actual fossils of ancient Pokemon. However the brother duo can be downright careless, becoming consumed in their love of digging and sibling rivalry and ruining their own digs. Normally their failed digs aren’t too much of a problem, only losing whatever they were trying to dig up, however this time they’ve really screwed the Poochyena.

The brothers were hired by the city of Stow-on-Side to excavate a cache of valuable Pokemon fossils discovered on Route 6 in the Galar region, the city hoping to put the fossils on display and bring in some much needed tourism. Unfortunately the pair got a little too excited and in their desire to outdo one another collapsed their dig sites and became trapped within.

From what we can gather Skilliver, the ‘Skill Brother’, was expertly excavating a pocket underneath the Dugtrio statue ruins however when he found out his brother was getting closer he got careless and fell into the ruin’s hidden chamber. As for Stamian, the ‘Stamina Brother’, he was hammering away at a deep pocket and when he heard his brother was getting closer he dug a little too fiercely and went right into a Durant tunnel.

A rescue group is on their way so you’re being asked to help out one of the brothers while they focus on the other. So either choose to find your way under the ruins or find access to the Durant tunnels and recover one of the two brothers. The bulk of the Pokemon fossils are likely lost but the brothers will certainly be thankful to you and will reward you with a fossil they did find. You might also find a fossil yourself if you’re lucky. Good luck.

-Objective:
—Rescue either Skilliver from the hidden chamber beneath the Dugtrio statue ruins or Stamian from the Durant tunnels.

-Opposition:
—The wild Pokemon of Route 6.
—The Dugtrio statue ruins will be fiercely guarded by the many Galarian Yamask that possess the wall art of the hidden chamber.
—The Durant tunnels will of course be fiercely guarded by the Durants that make it their home.

-Pokemon:
—Wild Pokemon found on Route 6 in Galar. You can run into any of them found here on the route regardless of where you go, however you’ll more likely encounter certain ones depending on which path you take, as seen below.
—Dugtrio statue ruins will contain more Galarian Yamask, Axew, Duskull, and Torkoal.
—Durant tunnels will contain more Durant, Heatmor, Silicobra, and Trapinch.

-Rewards:
—You will find a fossil yourself depending on which path you take. Fossilized Dino in the Dugtrio statue ruins and Fossilized Drake in the Durant tunnels.
—The brother you save will reward you with a choice of two fossils, Fossilized Bird or Fossilized Fish.
-5x Snag Coins
—Varies from there.
—The fossil you find. Revive it here.

-Note:
—You might just run into the infamous scientist Cara Less on Route 6 who would be glad to revive your fossils for you.

Turffield Harvest Festival

Every year the city of Turffield, Galar holds their traditional Harvest Festival and while such a festival is not unique to Turffield they do take it up to another level simply because there are just that many farmers and farms that make up Turffield and the surrounding areas. Galar is a big region, it has to eat, and Turffield certainly provides.

Besides the sheer size of the festival and the produce it brings in there is one other unique thing about the Turffield Harvest Festival is the produce run. The day before the farmers bring in their produce for the festival they hold a friendly competition, a tradition that dates way back to when they had to be quick to get their produce to market while prices were favorable and their produce in shape. With one ‘runner’ representing each farm they each select their biggest, best looking, highest quality pieces of produce that they grow and charge the runner with taking them into town. The competition as you guessed is largely a race but they are also judged on how the produce looks by the time the runner gets there as the trip can possibly damage or bang up the produce.

This is where you come in. one of the farms (you pick) has lost their runner and has requested a replacement from us, and of course we will collect our usual fee. Head for Turffield, Galar and seek out our employer’s farm. You’ll likely be asked to help out a bit around the farm, collecting their best produce as you get ready for the next day, the produce run. Bright and early in the morning the runners will position themselves at the end of Route 4 outside of Turffield, each allowing one Grass-type Pokemon to assist them on their run, however you aren’t allowed to ride them, you must use your own feet. From Route 4 the runners will dash for Turffield, into the city, through the winding paths, and finally into the stadium and onto the field at the finish line at its center.

Expecting another catch? Good, cause there is. Back in the day the farmers had heated rivalries and often tried to sabotage each other and this has continued to this day. While there is no ‘official’ standing on this sabotage in the race it is an understood aspect of it, runners using their Pokemon to trip up the competition or via other ways.

So assist our employer around the farm, carry out the produce run the next day, and if you feel like it stick around the day after the run to enjoy the Harvest Festival itself, may make some friends. Good luck!

-Objective:
—Travel to Turffield and the farm of your choosing to assist them in preparing for the produce run. You may come up with the details of the farm and farmer such as name and what they grow (eg. pumpkins, corn, broccoli, etc.).
—Participate in the produce run. You do not have to win it, just partake.
—Check out the Harvest Festival, if you’d like.

-Opposition:
—The wild Pokemon of Route 4, Galar.
—The other runners and their Grass-type Pokemon. They will certainly try to trip you up.
—Gym Leader Milo participates with his faithful Eldegoss and while he’ll probably be stiff competition he is probably the only runner that plays (mostly) fair.

-Pokemon:
—You may capture or befriend one Pokemon (native to Route 4, or otherwise fitting for a farm). Might even make a farm friend!

-Rewards:
—4x Snag Coins
—3x Apricorns of color choice.
—Varies from there.

A Shadow in the Steam

Disaster has struck Circhester, Galar, a Shadow Pokemon has caused the city’s iconic hot springs to be shut down. Days ago a Shadow Pokemon was released in the hot springs and went on a rampage, the city police trying their best to contain the creature however it managed to escape. Since then the hot springs have been blocked off and access to them is forbidden by the demand of the paranoid citizens. While the city has recently installed an Immunizer, affixed to the local gym’s roof, the citizens are unfamiliar with Shadow Pokemon and how the virus behaves and thus believe the hot springs are now contaminated. With the citizen’s scared and the hot springs shut down the city’s tourism is at risk.

The mayor has thus come to us, requesting we capture the Shadow Pokemon so that the townsfolk may calm down and rest easy and perhaps want to reopen the hot springs, especially if we, the ‘Shadow Pokemon specialists’ explain the virus to them.

The Shadow Pokemon is either still in the city or its outlying areas and doesn’t seem to be owned by an individual, thus wild. While your Pokemon are safe from infection inside Circhester the Immunizer’s effects end at the edge of the city so be cautious if you find it outside the city or chase it there. Remember though, not only is this a Shadow Pokemon containment mission you must also reassure the populace, don’t scare them anymore than they already are, show them that while Shadow Pokemon are dangerous they can be dealt with. Once the Shadow Pokemon is captured you will attend a town hall meeting with the mayor and local gym leader to explain things and show them the Shadow Pokemon has been dealt with. So good luck, bring some firepower, and flex your diplomatic muscles.

-Objective:
—Capture the wild Shadow Pokemon plaguing Circhester.
—Reassure the town folk that their hot springs are safe.

-Opposition:
—The wild Shadow Pokemon. Its species may be one of the following: Carkol, Frosmoth, Dusclops, Eiscue, Octillery, Pyukumuku, Jellicent, Bronzong, Sneasel, or Haunter. Be warned, it will use plenty of Shadow moves and eventually go into Hyper Mode.
—Possible wild Pokemon found out the outer routes.
—The paranoid populace might be jumpy as well.

-Pokemon:
—The capture of the Shadow Pokemon is required, however subtracting a Pokeball from your inventory is only required if you’re keeping the Shadow Pokemon for yourself. Otherwise you may capture one wild Pokemon found on Route 8 or 9.

-Rewards:
—7x Snag Coins
—1x Stardust
—2x Exp. Candy S
—Varies from there, including quantity and quality of the above.

Mushroom Picking

We have a rather unusual mission this time, one given to us by the famous, sometimes infamous, Gym Leader of Ballonlea of Galar, Opal. As an octogenarian Opal has numerous health problems, most visible in her difficult moving. The Gym Leader has turned to herbal and folk remedies as of late and wishes to try mushrooms found in Glimwood Tangle, and only ones found there, to treat her rheumatism. She has specifically requested our services to find the mushrooms, impressed by our actions in the news, and believing we have ‘the pink’, whatever that means.

Your mission is simple, journey to Ballonlea of Galar and then head into the Glimwood Tangle and go mushroom picking, Opal wants a good quantity of high quality mushrooms so be warned that she could turn some away and send you back, she’s picky. Do your best though because she has offered to pay the team handsomely, way more than the mushrooms are worth.

Now the mission sounds simple but be warned that the Glimwood Tangle is a dark confusing maze of trees. No sunlight breaches the tangle’s canopy, the only light coming from strange dimly glowing mushrooms and the locals swear the tangle itself moves, altering its paths when one isn’t looking. The other problem are the local Pokemon, many mischievous creatures, particularly the local Impidimp and Morgrem who are known to ambush, steal, and cause problems in general for travelevers. To stop it off Team Yell is known to cause problems in the tangle as well, claiming to be looking for rare Pokemon for their idol, Marnie.

Good luck, you got a lot of annoyances to deal with.

-Objective:
—Collect enough high quality mushrooms to please Opal.

-Opposition:
—The wild Pokemon of Glimwood Tangle.
—Team Yell may get a little too worked up and try to battle you. They use any of the following Pokemon: Galarian Zigzagoon, Nickit, Sableye, Pancham, Stunky, Scraggy, Purrloin and Sneasel.
—Opal…that is trying to please her is a battle in itself. May Arceus have mercy on you.
—There are no requirements for any amount of battles, Pokemon or trainer.

-Rewards:
—5x Snag Coins
—1x Tiny Mushroom
—Varies from there, this is largely a story heavy mission.

Five Isle Land Reclamation

(Originally written by Monique.)

The Five Isle Meadow covers most of the land area of Five Island. Owned by the same family for five generations, it has normally been a peaceful, mostly undisturbed place home to the Sentret, Pidgey, Hoppip, Meowth, Psyduck, and Slowpoke families. Then Team Rocket showed up and built a warehouse on their land without permission. Rocket is now long-gone, but the owners of the land want the eyesore warehouse demolished and the land remediated. Just two problems: they can't and don't want to use heavy machinery, and the building is infested with Pokémon.

That's why the landowners have called Snagem. They need people—and Pokémon—with muscle and attention to detail. They don't want to harm the Pokémon, but they want to try and restore the land to a near-natural state.

-Objective:
---Assist in demolition and restoration of the Rocket Warehouse site.

-Opposition:
---One or two bitter Rocket grunts might try and stop you with typical Rocket Pokémon of Kanto and Johto: Houndour, Machop, Drowzee, and Electrode.

-Pokémon:
---Wild Pokémon from the meadow in the Sentret, Pidgey, Hoppip, Meowth, Psyduck, and Slowpoke families.

-Rewards:
---5x Snag Coins
---1x Lemonade
---Varies from there.

An Unusual Pattern In the Bush

Rumors have been swirling lately over a mystery unknown Pokemon having been spotted somewhere in the Pattern Bush of Six Island of the Sevii Islands, the rumors detailing a small two-toned creature. Thanks to these rumors of a previously undiscovered Pokemon people have been flocking to the once sleepy island, trainers from all over swarming the Pattern Bush in hopes of being the one to capture this fabled creature.

Professor Oak however has concerns for this 'undiscovered' Pokemon and for the sake of researching and protecting it has requested Team Snagem's assistance in identifying this Pokemon and if it is a previously undiscovered species capturing and relocating this creature to the safety of Professor Oak's Pokemon Lab for study.

Your mission is to head to the Pattern Bush and attempt to locate the undiscovered Pokemon. What we know about it is it's very small, less than two feet in height according to rumors, its coloring is made up of two evenly divided colors, and it makes a rattling noise as it moves. Also there has been reported 'laughing' echoing through out the Pattern Bush as of late as well, it's unknown if this is connected to the Pokemon. It's not much to go on so you'll have to look for clues, gather your own information on this Pokemon and hopefully locate and capture it.

If you obtain the Pokemon you are to take it to Professor Oak for study, maybe he'll let you keep it after.

-Objective:
---Locate the undiscovered Pokemon of the Pattern Bush.
---Relocate it to Professor Oak's Pokemon Lab for study.

-Opposition:
---Other trainers will be here looking for the undiscovered Pokemon and some may even battle you. At minimum one will give you trouble. (Use the list of trainers found at the Pattern Bush. Click here.)
---The wild Pokemon of the Pattern Bush.

-Pokemon:
---You may capture one wild Pokemon found in the Pattern Bush or Green Path outside.
---You may ask Professor Oak if you can keep the undiscovered Pokemon after he's done studying it, if so don't capture a wild Pokemon.

-Rewards:
---5x Snag Coins
---1x Tiny Mushroom
---Varies from there.

(Note: The 'undiscovered Pokemon' is actually a Hisuian Voltorb, one of the last of its kind to be found in Kanto.)

The Lizard Wheels

Biker gangs aren't uncommon, at least three big gangs exist in Kanto, Sinnoh and Unova and now one has appeared in Paldea. They call themselves the Lizard Wheels, aptly name as they do not rider motorcycles but instead the traditional mode of transportation in Paldea, the Mount Pokemon Cyclizar.

Like the other gangs the Lizard Wheels like to make trouble, terrorizing traveling trainers, Pokemon Centers, and small towns. While they do commit crimes it's mostly things like vandalism and petty theft, pretty small stuff but annoying nonetheless. Now, you must be asking yourself, why is Snagem getting involved in this? Can't the cops deal with it? They could but there is one good reason why Snagem should take care of it; money.

The leader of the Lizard Wheels is wanted back in Kanto by the Kanto Pokemon Federation, the regional biker gang of Kanto of which the Lizard Wheels leader was part of. You see, he stole a lot of money from them on his way out and now they want to 'repay the favor' to him. While sorting out inter-regional biker gang conflict should be below Snagem the Kanto Pokemon Federation is offering to pay handsomely.

Travel to Paldea and hunt down the Lizard Wheels, they are known to ride around South Province, terrorizing the olive fields in the west, the tiny town of Los Platos, the forests, and even the beaches of Cabo Poco. You'll have to track them down yourself, maybe visit some Pokemon Centers in the area to gather information their movements, but otherwise it's up to you to find them. Once you do find them you must apprehend their leader who will not go quietly, will certainly need a way to restrain them for transport. Once you got a hold of them and they are 'neatly packaged' just summon Claydol and it will handle the rest.

Good luck!

-Objective:
---Track down the Lizard Wheel gang in the South Province of Paldea.
---Defeat and apprehend their leader, a large man named Ernesto.

-Opposition:
---Members of the Lizard Wheel gang, they all have a single Cyclizar and carry one other Pokemon.
---Gang Leader Ernesto. His Cyclizar is unusually large, about a foot bigger than normal and his prized Pokemon. He also has two other Pokemon, one of which is evolved.

-Pokemon:
---The Lizard Wheel gang use the following Pokemon; Shroodle, Varoom, Toxel, Croagunk, Koffing, Maschiff, Scraggy, Sandile, Stunky, Magby, Voltorb, Ekans, Pawniard, Timburr, Vullaby, Murkrow, or Houndour.
---You may snag one Pokemon from the Lizard Wheel gang.

-Rewards:
---5x Snag Coins
---Varies from there.
