Fireheart, still straining against the barrier from time to time, stopped in her pacing to watch the scene unfold before her. Her tail continued to twitch, though, at her helplessness and at the fact that gods who - in her eyes - would do nothing but ruin their pride continued to speak with Riddle Mouth. She knew he would do his best to retain as much peace as possible, but that god, as well, had apparently left. Her claws dug into the sand as she watched Riddle Mouth mark the delinquent's face, muscles aching to do the same, to send him away whimpering. No relief was given, though, and the bleeding, colorful male left. She turned as Fire Dog spoke, her chest burning with frustration and anger at being held back, and from being deceived for so long. "I say that rouge isn't the only one that needs to leave," she growled low in her throat. Had Insanity not returned, they would have had none of these issues that had been plaguing them for a while now. The dreamers would not have even come here, removing a headache that didn't need to exist. And now there was this rouge to worry about. Did more think like him? How did he know where the pride was? Was this more trouble on the horizon? Finally that odd barrier dissolved, and she turned sharply to look at the two lions remaining. Muhali was back to her 'normal' size, although wings still folded over her back. Fireheart didn't waste any time in moving forward, going first to Riddle Mouth. He was bleeding from quite a few wounds, and even though she wanted to confront the goddess first, her bonds with her pride were far stronger than her rage. "Gods," she muttered, although whether it was said in relation to the wounds on the king or with contempt to the one still standing before them was unclear. "It's been a while since I've seen you like this," she added a bit bitterly, only having memories of the king bloodied from when she was very young, and even those were hazy. Concern weighed out her anger for just a moment longer as she licked a rather aggressive wound on Riddle Mouth's shoulder, trying to help it clot. It was only when Muhali spoke that the growl returned and she pulled away from Riddle Mouth, fire in her eyes. "That's a rather poor prize for all you've put this pride through, both past and present." The resentment and anger in her voice carried into her stance as she moved closer to the (now) smaller female, not intimidated by her previous size or wings. Foolish to some, perhaps, but she had a pride to speak for, and fear had no place in a king or queen. "Speak then," she finally snarled. "Loud enough for everyone to hear you. No more secrets, Muhali, if that is even your true name. You have duped your 'beloved pride' far longer than is necessary."

Nelly had tried to remain quiet through everything that had gone on before her, but now so many questions were raised in her mind. She noticed the way both her Mother and Brother eyed the brightly colored female ... yet she also noted Muhali's commendation of her innocence and the recommendation of a higher calling. It was now fact that Muhali was indeed a goddess, far outranking any of the many lions standing around them - so did her opinion really stand for the truth? Could the trust the opinion of one who had hidden herself in plain sight for so long? Her Mother obviously didn't think so, but something in Nelly's gut told her there was something more pressing to her actions than any of them could understand.
Leaning in close to her Mother, she nudges her lightly in the side, hoping to catch her attention if only for a brief moment. But she wasn't sure if she would get it. It truly seemed as though every ounce of her dedication was wrapped up in taking down the goddess that had just moments ago towered over them in both power and size. Hima couldn't believe the luck she was having right now. Riddle Mouth was actually disgusted with Muhali ... after revealing herself to something Hima could never be?! The very idea sent the lioness into a strange place and she immediately jumped into action. Being sure to give Muhali the most 'in your face' look possible on her way to Shandor's side. Of course, Fireheart had already made it to his side but she wasn't worried about the Queen .. she was happily mated to that grump of a a** Straw Dog.
"You poor thing, stay still. I know just what to do to stop the bleeding for now!"
One thing Hima didn't like to share was that she was actually a very capable medicine woman. Though the idea of helping without receiving in return had never been a point she'd taken kindly to. But perhaps she would make this one exception. She winked an eye at the Gypsy King before darting off to the same area that Muhali had descended from before. There she found all the vines and larger leaves she would need to staunch the small cuts, and wrap the larger ones. The medicine would have to wait, as she would need to send someone for herbs, and now was not the time for such things.
"C'mere sweetheart let's get you under some control OK?" She purred happily, taking careful note to eye Muhali devilishly every few seconds as she tried to help Riddle Mouth as best she could.
Dark Fire Angel Muhali shall not be pleased >XD
Xipil could feel the tension around her growing with every second, and she didn't know what to do. She really wished she could just melt away, but in her mind she knew it wasn't possible. Even fire wouldn't be able to melt her away ... only give her more scars of passion. She didn't understand where she could have gone wrong! With all the time and energy she put into trying to impress the pride, not a soul trusted her! A frown slowly formed over the lioness' face and she slunk to the ground and lie there in a pile of self pity. She knew no one else would care, they never did. Well, except Muhali .. Muhali had given her the hope that one day things would be OK for her. But now, even as she stood before them, the TRUE goddess of Insanity it seemed Xipil had no hope.
She lie there for a while, merely listening, trying to understand what was going on. Cringing in fear at Riddle Mouth's new policy. Fearing that one day - as a Dreamer - the same fate would become her own. The mere thought made her tremble in fear, and no matter how hard she tried she couldn't stop.
But then, a voice broke through her trembles, a voice of belief, a voice of recognition. Muhali was honoring her for being true to herself? But would anyone truly go for it? Her ears perked slightly as she cautiously looked around her. No one so much as batted an eye, they were far too involved in Muhali's methods. Blinking innocently, she finally realized the barriers blocking their intervention had been removed. Slowly rising to her feet, still trembling she made her way over to her one ally and nuzzled into neck affectionately. "T-Thank you." She smiled, taking a seat next to her, unsure of whether she should bow or simply react to her just as she always had.
Before Muhali had always just been Paradox ... but now ... she was the Mother of her Passion ... she was the leader of her muse. She was the reason Xipil had to keep on living.

As the defense against intrusion dropped, the outsider left, Mauja took her leave, and Muhali reduced her size to something a little more tolerable Shandor stood still as a stone. He closed his eyes and took a few slow, deep breaths. There was too much, simply too much to address, and not one of such matters would do well being addressed in his current frame of mind. The adrenaline from his battle continued to surge through his veins and had his head pounding. His wounds, for the moment, he could barely feel. He knew shortly after the heat of battle cooled he would be in horrible pain but that was something he couldn’t let the pride see. Blood loss would have him weak and fatigued but again, neither were luxuries afforded to a pride ruler to show.
When he opened his eyes he found the onlookers were already making their way down to him. Fireheart and her son were the first to arrive in front of him and the gypsy queen went right to work licking one of his more serious wounds. Her son, Fire Dog, stood nearby with a grim look on his face. He was a cunning one, slow to speak but quick to act.
“One moment, love.” He whispered to Fireheart. Looking up, he motioned Fire Dog closer.
“Follow the outsider. Do not let yourself be seen or sensed. Find where he goes and who he goes to. Report back when you find something.” He narrowed his eyes. “If the dog returns to his master, we will have the b*****d wishing for the wrath of the gods by week’s end.”
Fire Dog ducked his head shortly. He had quietly been wondering why Riddle Mouth hadn’t beaten some information out of the outsider but there was something in the stranger’s eyes that betrayed his lack of compromise. He had been groomed to fight, and die, for what he believe in. Apparently, someone had twisted that belief into something dangerous.
He glanced to his mother and then to the others gathering, assuring them silently that he would be fine with this task. Without a word or another moment lost, the gypsy lord rushed away. It was shortly after Fire Dog’s departure that Hima came to join Fireheart in fussing over his wounds. The male lifted his head and snorted his aggitation. The gesture was appreciated by both parties but the very last thing he needed was to look weak. He didn’t know how many others could be watching. The dreamers, most especially, did not need to see him in such a state.
He stood himself up a little taller, ignoring the obvious hurts it caused and cleared his throat. And… sweetheart!? When did anyone get it into their heads that he was ‘sweet’? It took all his will power not to growl at the pet name but he did manage to let an agitated twitch of his lip get by his defenses. “Hima, I swear I am not dying, I can get myself under control. I will seek out some assistance as soon as this whole affair is settled. Thank you.” He added a little more softly. “But I am perfectly fine.”
He glanced to Fireheart and offered her a short smile. His ‘neice’ would likely badger him for the next week until his wounds began to scar but they both had other things to worry about for the moment. The gypsy queen pointed to the most obvious- Paradox’ deception. Of course, he had to quietly applaud the goddess for pulling the wool over their eyes. His most of all- he had encountered her once. Of course, he blamed his insanity for distorting his memories.
“Now now, let’s not breathe fire over Paradox. This pride survives on deception and cunning. Clearly she demonstrated that at least for a time.” He glanced over to the female in question. “But I must agree, it is time for you to explain yourself. You have an audience. Perhaps we might carry your story to the mummers so the rest of our family can hear what it is you have to say.”
He refused to seat himself but he did ease his posture off a bit. “Let’s hear this.”

Her appearance had been received with mixed amounts of feeling, albeit most had been negative. Muhali had expected that much, however, and when the queen drew near, she took a step aside to let her rush past to tend to Shandor's wounds. She also watched as the white pelted lioness shot a rather peculiar look her way before rushing to Shandor's side in a distinctively triumphant way.
The goddess' first thought was somewhere along the lines of 'Oh my..' while the second one seemed to dance around the edges of 'This is really not the time or place'. As such, when the lioness shot her another look, she lifted both paws in an almost mock-defensive gesture, allowing her to have her way; it was not her place to comment.
It was only when the queen turned and advanced on her that she drew herself up a bit, standing her ground as she remain seated, "This pride is here because of me. Whether you like it or not, Fireheart. I was not the one that attacked Riddle Mouth today, and while my actions have affected the pride... the dreamers, and today's assassin would have come here, with our without my presence," her voice was low, and though not submissive, she didn't seem to be battling the queen for dominance.
It was almost as if the goddess were entirely uncaring if she was talked down to or not entirely respected; in fact... as far as Muhali was concerned, she rather have this than blind adulation, "Lies are sometimes necessary. You are the gypsy queen; you should know that well enough," when Shandor spoke up, the goddess nodded her head, allowing Xipil to nuzzle by her side as the pink lioness seemed prone to doing, "I am old," she said with a sigh, "I have been around since lions began to think, and unlike many gods, I have lived in this incarnation for far longer than I care to think about, and yet... even after all this time, I still have room to learn," she allowed her wings to spread slightly and leaned one on Xipil's side, giving the lioness' back a small stroke before continuing, "Long ago, when I was new to life, I was passionate about my domain. I loved life, and I loved this world; always thought it was far better than the god's realm. There's more color here; it's just better, however..." she closed her eyes as she continued, "I soon came to discover my domain was more of a burden than anything.
"I became disenchanted with it, and everything I stood for. There was too much darkness; fights were fought because of my domain, blood spilled, and in time I grew... weary," she finally opened her eyes to look at the pride around her, "It was at this point that someone found me, and he told me that I was wrong; that I was just not looking hard enough, and that while it was true that my domain was dark... it also held light. He told me that there was bliss in simply being able to wipe your problems away; that there was innocence in some of mine, happiness that others could never achieve and from that idea was born the ghost of a though.
"If they had that... why couldn't I?" she allowed that to sink in before continuing, "And so, I decided to cast my own spell on my mind; I sank into my own domain and my problems were wiped away. Soon, I lived in bliss, and while this worked for a long time, I eventually grew... well, lonely, actually. As such, I searched for others that wished what I had and eventually, when there was a group of us, Kizingo'zaa was born.
"I cast an amplified spell on the land, pretty much just the one cast on myself, reflected on the territory, which served a double purpose; it kept us clouded in the bliss and it made those that entered the land with foul thoughts or bad ideas... forget those notions. We lived like this in peace for a very long time until something happened; the first star child was born. A child so far gone within the spell he could not function within society; a child whose daydream was so deep he could not distinguish reality from it. After that first child, more eventually came, and inevitably.... the pride died out. But I stayed.
"A long time passed, and just a few generations ago, a lioness came upon this land, and she spoke to the wind. With her came her mate, a gypsy, descendant from those that made my first pride, and they settled down here, intent on rebuilding. I gave them my blessing and watched them build their pride until... the inevitable happened again; a star child was born," again she closed her eyes, this time in pain, "I soon realized that my presence here was feeding into the spell cast upon the land, which fed into my own spell, and back again in such a strong, potent circle... that it was creating insanity of a far stronger degree than I'd ever intended with my blessing. When I came upon that realization... I left the land. My presence removed would dampen the spell to it's original intent.
"Years later, Peace stumbled across this land, and he blessed it. By doing so, his spell negated mine, and thus, the land was wiped of my spell. It had another effect, however, which I believe Li overlooked; because the spell cast upon the land was connected to the one I cast on myself... he not only rid the land of insanity, but he lifted the spell I'd cast on myself. When the land woke up sane, so did I, far, far away.
"It took me a long while to fully wake up. Far longer than it took the land or the pride, as I'd been under the spell far longer than the land had but... when I did, I made my way back here, terrified something horrible had happened. When I got here, some time had passed. I wanted to judge how the pride was doing, what was going on, how everything was fairing, but... I couldn't just swan in, proclaim myself Muhali and just ask you how things were because, well," she turned to Shandor, "You would've lied. And I don't mean that as an accusation; you would've been right to mistrust. But it didn't serve my purpose; I needed to make sure things were fine, and for that... I needed an insider's view," here, she snapped her maw shut and looked at the ground for a long beat, "I only planned on staying a day or two. Maybe three at most; it would be more than enough time to make sure everything was fine and to judge if my spell needed to be recast or not.
"I soon enough came to the decision the pride was well enough and I needed to do nothing; I didn't need to recast the spell. I could leave but... I fell in love," she turned to look at the trees in the distance, from which she could barely just hear the sound of the waves, "I fell in love with this pride again; the sea, the place, everything, but above all, I just fell in love with the idea that no one here treated me like I was superior. That no one here treated me like I was anything but another pride member," she bit her lip slightly and turned to face both gypsy king and gypsy queen, "That's all I've ever wanted... I just want to stay here."

Fireheart turned to glare at Riddle Mouth for a moment as he addressed her. She didn't say anything, though, even when the goddess put her own two cents in. She would let her have her story first. During the in-depth history, Fireheart remained standing, her tail twitching from time to time, shoulders still tense. As the smaller female finished, the queen had to hold back a snort. Shaking her head, she looked back at the king. He really needed to get somewhere where he could lay down and tend to his wounds, and all this talk wasn't going to see that happen any time soon. Firehearts eyes shifted to the few others of the pride that had gathered, watching from a distance with wide eyes, and then back to the goddess, now with one of the dreamers at her side. "I may be the only one that feels this way, but to lie to those you care for - family, as you said, Riddle Mouth - is inexcusable. I don't care if you're a gypsy or a Pridelander, without your family, you are nothing. Tricks and deceit are for outsiders and rivaling prides." She paused here, claws kneading the ground beneath her. "I know very little of gods. I know you have magic, and now I can see that you can fly and change size and appearance at will. And to be quite honest, unless you or other gods decide to use that against us, I don't care. I know others may look at you and be afraid, or start to worship you, or whatever else it is that you were afraid of happening, but we're fairly rational lions now, for the most part." There were those that had retained some of their madness, but she doubted they would have cared at all if a tree suddenly got up and began to dance. A goddess, even the one that gave them their muses, probably would have be stared at for a while before being assumed to be 'normal'. "I can't help but feel as though you went about this all wrong. Not that there's anything to do about that now, of course." She let out a frustrated snort, shaking her head just a bit. "And if you're looking for permission with that last statement, you're not getting any sort of rational answer out of either of us now. Riddle Mouth needs to get out of the sun, I need to cool down, Fire Dog needs to come back and report what he finds."

Shandor listened with a face of stone. His eyes remained guarded and his stubborn posture remained firm and strong. To show any weakness in front of the others was unacceptable. It was bad enough to know he would have to sit under the paws of a healer while existing under the worried eyes of a few of his pride members. He wasn't made of shell, he wouldn't shatter against the stone so easily.
Pity and sympathy crept in, though his eyes didn't show it. Muhali had been trapped in her own insanity then. Perhaps it was a well-deserved stroke of fate. In his mind, the gods should have to personally experience everything they imposed on mortals so they would be wiser in the use of their abilities. They lived, it seemed, by very different rules.
"Your motives seem pure, but that changes very little of what came of the actions you took. Some saw it as a good thing, others saw it as a prison." He motioned to himself, "I am among them. Those that saw your insanity as a good thing nearly caused an uprising when the curse was lifted. Gods or no gods, mortals got wrapped up in the entire affair. We had no say on whether or not we wanted the delusion of bliss. Peace may have meant well, but he too caused problems. Between the two of you, this pride was thrown into chaos."
He glanced to Fireheart as she spoke her own mind and nodded his agreement.
"This pride is family. Relations share blood, Paradox, family shares your heart. They are very different things." He lowered his paw as the world seemed to spin beneath them. He had lost too much blood... damn it all, what a time to be injured.
"It seems... you understand that. Your motives are good, your actions are questionable. But... right now we need you." He glanced to Fireheart then drew his head up, fighting nausea. "The gypsy king defends this pride, and he has been compromised. There may be more of those eyesores out there waiting to pounce, and I cannot protect my family long until my blood returns to me." He took a deep breath. He hated trusting her with this, but it would test her metal against a rather heated flame.
"Defend this pride while I recover. Protect this family. Prove that you are one of us. You say you love us, we want to see actions. Your words, for the moment, are not to be entirely trusted. If you keep us safe, then I will reconsider that and you would have secured your place here." He pointed a claw her way. "But- this situation with the dreamers is to be contained. They want your madness, the rest of us do not. Give us a choice, Muhali. See this place?" He motioned to the cave and the surrounding beach. "This is their cradle. Let the children have their mother here, but leave the rest of the territory to the grown up's who wish to face the world with wit and claw."
He leaned in closer. "...promise me that we can have a word in private once my head clears. Fireheart is right. My wit is dripping onto the sand. I should get to my den."

Hima could tell her King was not happy with her treatment towards him. He was a proud male, one who wanted to stand on his own. He most definitely didn't want an insignificant female standing in his way doting over him, trying to make him all better. Hima huffed to herself as Riddlemouth pushed off her advances. She knew he was in no position to wait for a later time. But he wasn't going to let her care for him until he'd done what he needed to either. So she sat, the fur on her back standing on end. Listening to his every word as he spoke freely to the goddess before them. She watched the two of them carefully, even the slightest bit of eye contact and she might just claw his or her eyes out! Goddess or no goddess! King or no King! But neither of them did such a thing, instead Riddlemouth only proved Hima to be right all along. Stepping forward once again, she began to pat the leaves she'd placed before hand. "Alright, no more fussing or refusals, she'll take care of everything. Now its time for you let someone take care of you!
Right Fireheart?"Her voice still held a tone of resentment, but she tried to idle it back as she knew Fireheart wasn't her competition. Xipil listened, all her stress relieved as she sat with Muhali's wing perched comfortably across her back. She was quite taken by Muhali, not in an amorous way, but in a maternal way. She felt connected to her in a way she couldn't explain, but after witnessing what she had, she couldn't help but feel the goddess felt the same way about her. She was after all, truly one of her children. She felt pity for though, listening to her sad tale of the many times she had tried and failed to create a home for herself and her children. She could understand how heartbroken she was. But even more than that, she could understand how badly she just wanted to be home. The tears were building up in her sockets, and try as she might to hold them back, there was nothing she could do to prevent it from happening. Soon the tears were spilling down the sides of her face, and it was she could do to keep from bawling. Looking over to Muhali, she waited in silence for the King to finish his talk with her. As he finished up, she took a moment to lightly pat her Motherly figure on the paw. "Do you really think we can call this place home - permanently this time?" She paused, noting the sadness in Muhali's eyes and recounting her sad sad tales of failure. "If it helps at all Paradox, I believe in you." With a light smile, and a slight sniffle, she patted the lioness' paw once more. Nelly sat down with a confused look on her face as everything went down around her. It seemed as though everything was happening so fast, she just couldn't keep up with any of it! One second there was fighting, then a goddess! Then Riddlemouth was terribly injured, and the bright pink lioness was being promoted!
Her head was spinning with all of the different things going on around her. She wanted to do something, but she also didn't want to be a burden to those around her. What could she do? She watched as things began to come to a close, Xipil was now speaking with the goddess, Aunt Nema's sister was tending to Riddlemouth ... or was trying to .. and Mom .. Mom seemed free!
Jumping at the chance, she hopped to her Mother's side and nudged her gently.
"Hey Mom, is there anything I can do to help?"
She paused a moment, knowing that wasn't all she wanted to ask, but unsure if she truly should ask at all. Biting her lip, she decided to go for it anyway.
"Mom what does Uncle Riddlemouth mean 'Let the children have their Mother here?'"

Fireheart met Riddle Mouth's gaze, frowning as he spoke. He was compromised, and her job was not to protect, but to be the voice of the pride. She couldn't juggle both jobs at once, as much as she wanted to. The thought of having someone else take Riddle Mouth's place...well. If it had to be anyone, it might as well be a goddess, especially Muhali. She had been here longer than any of them, she knew the land, and she could keep intruders out.
That didn't mean she liked the idea, of course.
Another voice caught her attention, and she glanced over at Slipper with that same frown. "He needs to be moved first," she said seriously, trying to will her claws back into her paws. "This is not the place to tend to his wounds. If he will take your help, I'd suggest aiding him back to his den and not patching his injuries."
A bump made her turn, and her expression softened as Nelly met her gaze. She shook her head and leaned in, pressing her muzzle affectionately against her daughter's. "I would like you to go inform your father of what's happened, please," she said quietly. "And your siblings, should you find them. As for what Riddle Mouth said..."
She glanced at the cave he had indicated, ears pressing flat against her head in dislike. "You shouldn't worry about it," she finally said, turning back to her daughter. She wasn't completely sure, although she did have a hunch, and if it was what she thought it was, she'd want nothing to do with this part of the beach any longer.

Hima grimaced at Fireheart's comment, Of course he needed to be moved! But it wasn't exactly smart to move someone who had a continuous loss of bloodflow! You have to staunch the flow before you can move him, which she had taken care of, while the Queen was fussing her over. As the queen turned her attention to her rather awkward daughter, Hima stuck her tongue out at her and offered her shoulder to Riddlemouth for aid.
"Right, you heard the Queen! Let's get you back to your den, things are under control here." Looking back to Muhali she smiled a somewhat friendly smile, and nodded. "Don't you worry about a thing, Nurse Hima has everything under control."
Feeling her Mother's warmth press against her made Nelly feel more comfortable about the situation. She felt at ease, and her muscles relaxed a bit. As her Mother gave her her orders, she nodded curtly and paused to listen to the remainder of her comment.
Her ears however flattened at the statement her mother made. If her mother's tone said anything for itself, whatever he meant couldn't be good.
"Yes ma'am!" She muttered. Nodding once more to her Mother before kicking off the sand and darting off towards her parents den. She knew her Father would be there, or near the beach. Those were his signature spots these days. And considering he hadn't come running towards the sound of danger, he was likely dead asleep in their den.

((OOC: Hey guys, sorry for the lag. I had exams this past week and I had to ban myself from the computer etc to study. The week has passed, however, and I believe I pretty much nailed my exams. I have a long weekend and thus, woosh, off we go! We're gonna try wrap this up! Everyone can then go off and do their individual rps and shiz, yes? As a random note! If ANY of you wants a one on one with Muhali, give me a poke. Shandor will be having his one on one chronologically... before anyone else, but after that, it's fair game if anyone's interested.)) Muhali's wing, which had been idly resting over Xipil's back, finally lifted off the bright lioness' pelt, folding by the goddess' side, "Unfortunately... it's all in the hindsight," she told Fireheart, "Gods are not all knowing, and well, while there's things many of us would change about our pasts if we could, what's the use of mourning what happened then, if there's no way to change it?" she clicked her tongue and shook her head, "Better learn for the future than get caught up in regretting the past; can't change that, because as I said... it's all in the hindsight."
Her head turned from the queen, to the gypsy king, eyeing him as he spoke, "I can do that," the cave which Riddlemouth spoke of would need further inspection but... there were more pressing matters, like actually figuring out what had happened, how the intruder had gotten in, etc. She'd deal with the Dreamers later, once she was sure the pride was safe. Thankfully, unlike the patrons, she could fly, and could keep an eye from above.
Muhali was still deep in thought, pondering how to go about her task when the king leaned into her, murmuring the next few words so only she could hear. There was a brief pause, and then she allowed her head to bump his softly, "I... can do that too; just call for me when you're ready. I'll hear your call," she hesitated for a moment when the lion stumbled, but rather than draw forward towards him once more, she finally drew back away from him entirely, "Right," she said, "I'll get a move on, then," and that said, she stood and spread her wings with practiced ease. After taking a calculating look around her and then above towards the sky, she jumped and was airborne withing seconds, vanishing from view. ((And that's my exit, guys! As mentioned above, if anyone wants post-rps with me, tell me!))

Riddlemouth spat a bit of blood onto the sands and fought his posture upright. It pulled at torn flesh and stretched over bruised muscles, but the wounds over his flesh were small compared to the wounds that he would suffer to his pride if the other gypsies saw their leader returning looking like a kicked dog. He had left the outsider with a fair amount of damage as well. Both by now had burned up their adrenaline and it was all he could do to comfort himself in the wake of his condition to think that the rogue was hauling his carcass away with one of the gypsy lords moving through the shadows just behind him. At least Shandor would be walking through his pride with his head held high.
That is, if Hima would let him. "Off me, woman." he growled, though there was an undertone of playfulness to his voice. "I have four perfectly good legs. A few scratches aren't going to lay me in the sands. Not just yet." He shot a look over to Fireheart and chuckled.
"Ganging up on me while I'm tired. I see how it is-" He paused and glanced around himself. He was surrounded by females in fact. Little wonder. He didn't dare aggravate one of them least he would have a pack of them on his back. Fireheart would never let him live it down and Paradox would only bring it up to still his tongue in an argument.
He stood back, watching as the goddess shot up into the air and vanished completely. What a day... gods, invaders, the dreamers themselves, and this lingering storm that the fortune-tellers had spoken of. This wouldn't be easy to explain to the Bahari come the mummers' ball. It would make a good story though.
"Keep sharp." he ordered, his tone growing firm as he limped back towards the den. "We don't know anything about this dog. He may have more like him. Make sure you all spread the word. I want all little ones in the center of the pride's territory and every claw sharp and ready to strike if a shadow so much as breathes."
Looking to each of the females remaining - minus the poor dreamer - he flicked his tail and allowed Hima to escort him back. "No fussing." He muttered over. "Allow me some dignity before I drop in my den. If anyone has to tell this story again, I danced back to my den."
OOC This is also my closing post! If you need more posts to count towards a completed rp, feel free, but as of now the metaplot is closed up! I'll start making a list for the raffle prizes (Sorry those are late!) and having it checked... a lot before rolling winners (everyone knows I fail at making those lists XD; ). If anyone wants rp with any of my characters please let me know! I'm stoked to see pride-wise reaction to these events. >3 And we need us some dreamer activity. I'll make a more formal pride announcement very soon!
