Jaslyn Ross' OWLs [Graded]

Astronomy
A
Jaslyn isn't horrible at Astronomy but she has never found it to be very interesting. Planets off in the far away distance were always just another unreachable thing to her. It was only in this year that she realized "unreachable" distances were what she wanted in her life. If she hadn't tried so hard this year to catch up on all that she had ignored the last few years she would not have passed the OWL.

Charms
D
Honestly, Jaslyn has never been good at Charms. They were always her weak point. She can do transfiguration perfectly if she tries and studies hard, but charms are just horrid. She hadn't expected to pass the test. Hell in her first year she was sure she'd set the entire school on fire with how ruddy her charms were.

Defense Against the Dark Arts
A
As Jaslyn's Charms were never good, the spells needed for DADA were her weak point. It was only in her ability to study the actual topics of the class that she managed to pass the OWL and not fail miserably. The one and only Defense spell she had taught herself to excel at is the patronus spell. A spell the class doesn't even teach, but one she had specifically looked up out of curiosity as well as a urge in her heart. She has learned to followed those gut senses as if her life depended on them.

Herbology
E
Jaslyn has always had a natural need to succeed in her lessons. Although she dislikes Herbology, and didn't even study for it...that much, she still manages to pass it because of her natural memory of things and her will to pass up everyone in her family and prove something in herself.... to herself.

History of Magic
O
It was strange. Even she hadn't expected it. All she does in HoM is doodle and draw and never really pay attention. It seemed her love of drawing, mixed with her half attentive listening to lectures brought the 2 memories together so when she took the test she remembered it all, without ever remembering actually learning it.

Potions
A
Potions were not a strong point with her. She had passed them yes, but only because she was very attentive in the last few lessons (review lessons) of class. She was determined to not fail any OWLs.... well except for charms... that was a given. So although she wasn't great at potions, she applied herself well enough to just barely get through the OWL

Transfiguration
O
Her one strong point, as always, is Transfiguration. The OWL was a no brainer to her. She could do almost all of the spells in her sleep... practically. She went into this OWL confident and left just as confident.

Care of Magical Creatures
E
Jaslyn has always loved Animals. There was nothing she wouldn't do for a cute fluffy creature. Of course... not all magical creatures were cute and fluffy. She had learned to deal with this factor of the class rather well though and got on quite good with all types of magical creatures. Fluffy and cute or not. She seemed to be able to find beauty in every creature presented to her whether they were the ugly and wrinkled or spiky and scary.

Ancient Runes
A
Jaslyn had never had much of any interest in Ancient Runes. She had taken the class to prove that she could do something better than her father (seeing as he failed the class when he was in school), but now she honestly didn't care what her father had to say or think or do. He was in jail, and as far as she was concerned... he could rot there forever. She had only passed the OWL from her previous years of superb dedication to a class she didn't care for. This final year she had given up caring about her marks in the class and thus she only just barely passed the OWL.

Art
O
This one came as an obvious answer. Art was her one true love. If she wasn't practicing seeking, or studying, you can find Jaslyn in all sorts of odd or peculiar locations with a sketch pad and a pencil drawing whatever she sees or whatever comes to her mind. Passing this class had been more about passion and less about grades.

Muggle Art
O
Although this class had a lot less to do with drawing than she had come into thinking, Jaslyn still found all the muggle artists and art to be supremely fascinating and inspiring. She could have passed this test with her eyes closed and her hands tied behind her back. (metaphorically speaking of course)
