Another day, another…storm? Well, not really. The clouds held that overcast that they usually held, meaning a light sprinkle was in order. Hopefully it would lead to nothing more. Astrid was trailed down the rocky cliffs, carefully placing her footing so not to slip on the slick rocks. She’d go hunting today! Or…something useful. With Alehandra cooped up in the den with her swelling belly, the pale female felt rather useless. She wanted to help out some way or another.
A proper meal for her mother would do.
That was, if she could find an animal crazy enough to live near the rocks. Astrid didn’t like venturing too far away from the family den, just in case she met some random reavers.

"Darn it Fen!" Karm yelled as the small prey..thing, whatever that was, almost like a small rock scaling antelope? Got away. Karm huffed and smacked her paw against the rocks and climbed down. "What did I tell you?" she said aloud, storming over to Fen'li who was beginning to cower nearer to the earth.
"I-I...I thought what you did meant go," Fen'li said. She was not so good at direction if the directions weren't clear after all. "You moved your tail, and I went to scare it out like you said, ...you tripped," Fen said looking away.
"I didn't trip! You went too early!"
"Did too!"
"Did not!"
Karm snarled and walked past Fen, knocking shoulders. "Now we have to look for something else.
"Well..don't trip this time," Fen snickered.

The sounds of bickering caught her attention. She knew those voices. She had only met them once before, but there was no mistaking who they were. With a slight pivot on the slickening rocks, the pale lioness followed her ears, spotting the bickering duos.
She watched, a small smile on her face. She didn’t have a best friend like these two had, that the constant bickering meant how close they were.
“You tripped?” Astrid asked Karm from above, gazing down at them from a boulder above.

Karm went to speak and heard a voice above her. Before she could say anything Fen'li was already moving and Karm hung her head down...no use trying to catch anything near this bluff now. Fen would be way too excited.
"Astrid!" Fen'li exclaimed trying to clamber up the stones which were falling from underneath her, making it hard to grasp the ground. "Did you see Karm trip too?"
"I did not trip!" Karm snipped at Fen.
"Did too! I saw you!"
"You distracted me! The ground fell away!"
"And you tripped," Fen said with a nod laughing. "What brings you this way Astrid?" she questioned, blue eyes focused on the female.

Astrid just shook her head, giggling at the two’s antics. They were definitely an amusing duo, that was for sure. “No, I didn’t.” She said to Fen’li, gazing at Karm. She didn’t know if the black lioness did in fact trip, or if the white striped female was just trying to gain an upper hand on her partner. She highly doubted the latter.
Shaking her head, the female glanced back towards Fen.
“Oh, I was just planning on gathering a meal for my mother. Her belly is growing quite large, so she is always hungry!” Astrid never was around the concept of how cubs were actually made, so the growing inside a lioness would be something quite surprising for her.

"A hefty meal jsut got away," Karm said eyeing Fen'li. "But there should be something a little further up, I can show you," Karm said with a nod climbing up the stones. She let her paws adjust to the uneasy ground and soon enough was on the same, almost angular plane Astrid was on.
"Wait for me!" Fen'li said, almost sliding back down the stones.
"Watch your step on these though, the slate can just give way<" Karm said matter of factly.
Fen'li looking beneath her, shifted her weight slightly and everything moved and stopped, she looked frozen.

“Aww, really?” That would be Astrid’s luck. She could never catch an easy meal.
The pale lioness would follow Karm up, easily climbing up the slick rock surface. She nodded as to what the darker female said, before her dark pink eyes gazed back at Fen.
“Fen…?” she asked, pausing her steps. She shifted her gaze to Karm for just a moment. “You okay?” She couldn’t tell the slate had shifted, but she could see the lioness wasn’t moving.
“Hold on, Karm.”

Fen'li felt the slate move when she tried lifting her right paw up and she had a worried expression. "K-karm?"
Karm turned to look at Fen'li, their eyes met and Karm's went to the stone beneath Fen'lis paws. The stnoes were shifting and would slide away.
"Astrid, you move up and get to the flats there, to the grass, the stone ends just before it and it'll be safe. Fen'li, just..don't move, or trip," Karm said moving away from Astrid so there would be too much weight on one place.
Fen'li nodded but didn't know what to do in the meantime, but wait for Karm and watch Astrid get to safety. "Be careful Astrid!"

Astrid stepped up, her weight not bearing on the shifting stones. She couldn’t help but watch as the Fen was helpless, and Karm trying to assist her friend.
Then a thought occurred to the pale female. She was their friend too. She shouldn’t wait by the sidelines and hope everything would be okay! She wanted to make sure things were going to be fine. When Karm was closer to Fen, Astrid kept her distance, moving to the opposite side of the darker striped female. If they could even the weight on the shifting stones, then maybe, just maybe, it would prevent a sliding reaction.
“I want to help.” The usually stuttering lioness stated. “We will get out of this, altogether.”
