Regnav had a new hobby. He didn't find it thrilling to order thralls around. He wasn't about to tear up his handsome hide by becoming a reaver. He wasn't good with memory for words, so both Lawspeaker and bard were out. So he'd been casting around for things to occupy himself with. First he'd started a shell collection. That had gotten boring after a while. Then he'd tried doing hunting for himself. That had been no fun whatsoever, and he'd given it up swiftly. But this newest dalliance was most interesting, and was helping him use his collected shells to some sort of purpose.
The chocolate lion was finding he was reasonably clever at it too. He wasn't sure whether it had any place among the Stormborn, but it kept him amused, so he kept at it. His new fascination was sand sculptures. Not just sand, though... he was finding it enthralling to find and use other materials to make his sand sculptures look more interesting. Today's work of art was a reclining lion. He'd already gotten the damp sand shaped and into the rough shape of a maneless lion. He had a pile of pale seashells next to him, and a whole heap of long-leafed seaweed was what he was currently working with.
First he dipped it into the water nearby, making it glossy and dark, then carefully inserting it into the damp sand. This was trickier than it sounded, though, and he was growling under his breath as his latest seaweed fell out of the crumbling sand. There had to be a better way! Casting about, he spotted scraggly, dead bushes nearby. Aha! He glanced up as some others approached, but was focused on ripping clumps of branches off the bush and didn't say anything to those approaching.
