"I...okay, Grandma," Verloren said at last, allowing the lionesses on either side of him to guide him. Of all the things he'd expected of today, this was the one he'd never in a million years seen coming. All his emotions had been frozen in shock and he wasn't sure what he felt about his mother's departure. Mostly confusion, for the time being.
But seeing Grandpa and talking to him, with Grandma and Teh to support him, seemed like the best idea for now. Verloren took a moment to press his cheek to his beloved's for support.

Kianira would have been hard pressed to convince Teh not to follow them. The young lioness was rather concerned for her traveling companion, and in love with him enough that she didn't want to leave his side. She wanted to be there in case he needed her, and even when they were traveling the rogue lands, she had been careful to be close by his side. There was little anyone could do or say to get Teh to move - she was rather... attached to Verloren.
So, she would follow Kianira, and be there in case Verloren did need her. His grandparents would probably be better at comforting him, but she'd like to know where she could find him when she would eventually leave to see if her family was still around. But, that would be much later, for now she gently nuzzled Verloren, offering him that small amount of comfort before they headed back to see his grandfather.
