[PRP] A Strong Lady is Good

Athena was not familiar with the pride he was closed to currently. He had not ever ventured very close to it, having heard rumors that it was not a friendly sort of pride, but he knew that it was there. The fluffy male was trying not to get too close to what he thought were their boarders, hard to tell really, as he searched for something to hunt. He was trying to scout out something to report back Zenobia and the few offspring that were still traveling with him, for later hunting. Depending on what he found, he knew he would not be able to hunt it alone, but he did not want the others to waste energy when they were tired.

Athena liked the feeling of importance he got from scouting ahead like this and saving the others work. He loved providing for them, especially his cubs. It made him feel like he was still important to them even if they were all grown up. He was a bit too interested in the tracks he was following when he smelled the scent of another lion, female, nearby. Oh dear, that could be a bad thing, so he was quick to perk up and look around for signs of where the other might be. He wanted to apologize before he got himself into trouble if it was from the rumored pride. He really did not need trouble with a big pride of angry lions.

Asha'Emese had perched herself atop a large boulder, that allowed her to look out past the borders of her home pride, she enjoyed the view but in her heart, of hearts she knew that she wouldnt be happier out there.

Her tail curled around her paws, as the movement of a male caught her attention. Her head tilted to the side as she watched him, well that was certainly odd, she thought as she watched him. He didnt look like any cubs that had grown recently, males were not allowed past adolescence. Her tail tuff twitched against her legs as her gaze followed him.

Athena stopped in his search and sighed to himself. He was not far from the boulders the female perched in, but he was completely unaware of her presence there. "No sign of anything to hunt this way... How am I supposed to surprise the females with a good hunt if I cannot find anything." Knowing them, they would not mind and go out hunting themselves with no problem, but he had least had wanted to have something to report back to them even if he came back with empty paws. Having nothing was exasperating.

"I should probably head back... wish the rumors would give a definite pride location to ask for permission to hunt... or directions for hunting." Athena frowned to himself as he thought outloud. It would make things easier if he could make contact with the pride in the area and get help, but then the pride likely was not friendly since all he had was rumor to go on that they were even around. It was hard to follow rumor alone to anything.

Emese watched him, and as he seemed to be talking to himself, she couldnt help but giggle a bit. "Well, if you want some advice on hunting on these lands..provided you don't take away from the prides own needs, I could offer you some help." She said from her rocky perch.

Her little white tuff of mane curled over one of her eyes as the other sparkled with a welcoming gleam. "We're not an unfriendly pride, well..generally but we've a history of being attacked and over ran by males. You could say its left us a bit...weary of strangers."
