A Helpful Guide to Homestuck items

I am making this guide to help others due to recent gaia inflations and what not I will no longer be able to make any horns for anyone like I have done so in the past. I have created an estimated 30 different horns through alchemy just so I can get to level 10. The only horns I have never been able to make due to how rare the component is were the Tall Candy Horns.


So this is for those who seek out the Homestuck horns but dont want to pay a fortune just to obtain them or wait for a long time for one to be listed on the mp. So after that fiasco gaia no longer released anymore horns or mood bubbles and most likely they never well. Which is why they are rare and hard to come by these days. At least you can make the horns which is what this guide is for.

Okay so in order to make the Horns you need to be a certain level in alchemy that matches the level on the formula. If you are that level and have the components then you can make the item. If not you can always find someone willing to make it for you since there are many alchemists who want to level up and lack the funds to do so. Heres a list of each formula in order of level. I also will include the components needed to make said formula.


Formula 5: Dual Candy Horns

Now as you can see each one requires you to sacrifice a trick or treat tote which is the only downside to this as the totes lately have been scarce and increasing in value but you can make one if you have the components.

Trick or Treat Tote: Alchemized

Witchy Macaron and Biancamella (any gen will work) are the only things that might be hard to get for a good price. The other components can be bought in the gaia stores for really cheap. The monstrous tooth comes in a sapphire cache.Ectoplasm can be made which will probably be cheaper than buying one from the mp. It requires Severed Soul x2 (Gold cache) Haunted Object x5 (Ruby Cache) Maggot Butter x5 (Garnet Cache) and 1 Zombie Goo (also Garnet cache)

Now as you can see most of the horns require 10 of the same specific horn that looks similar to the candy versions. It can be a hassle to get 10 from the mp but thats because some of those horns are hard to come by especially the Horns of the Prince of Darkness. The solution is Faunzy's Flute. This is a special kind of item that lets you play a game of rock paper scissors against Faunzy.

Marektplace location:
Faunzy's Flute is a Cash Shop item released June 23, 2008. Its announcement post states that it is Gaia's first ever "Active Item". Due to a bit of confusion regarding the item, Faunzy made a second post answering a few questions.


If you equip more than one flute you will get more than one PM a day based on the amount of flutes equipped at the time.

Some users claim that when you play you follow a certain pattern which makes it so you cant lose. You select the icons from left to right picking the next icon each day.

Items are given each day when you win. However you can choose to not accept the item you win and try your luck to win a better item however if you lose you get the item below.

However if you win you get an item below depending on how long you have won in a row example beat him 3 times in a row you get the Day 3 item beat him 10 times in a row you get the last item which is honestly not as valuable as the Day 9 item so I wouldnt recommend going for the tenth day item unless you really really want those faun legs. I almost forgot there is one more item that many probably do not know about. Its an item that seems like a regular horn but there is a pose thats a reference to Gamzee.

With the exception of the trick or treat tote formula you cannot find any of the listed formulas in the Bifrost. In order for you to obtain them you have to be lucky enough to pull one from an Alchemist Case. You can obtain one via the mp but they have been really sought after lately and thus inflated in value since the last time I bought them which I wound up buying like 75 of them in an attempt to try to get one of the rare Inizio formula or a Nice Suit for Work formula. Never pulled any of them at all. Thats how rare they are.

You can make an Alchemist Case but it requires a lot of components so it might take a while to make. Luckily all the components can be found via fishing or in towns or even dumpster dive. The formula has many options to choose from on how to make it. Of course the easiet would be option 1 but it might be costly. Below is the formula and what you need for each option

There are a total of 89 different formulas that can be pulled from an Alchemist Case that also includes any of the six Inizio formulas which are worth billions but the odds might as well be against you on pulling one of them.
