Fire-Dog The Gypsy Lord had quietly excused himself from the party, seeing none who had especially caught his eye and opting to observe his fellow gypsies from the quiet of the distant cliffs. It was a tapestry of color, music, song, and dance that he rather enjoyed watching. As much as he loved participating in such festivities he had always been the observant type. There was a lot to be learned from the way others interacted with each other. The body language, the way they moved, the patterns of speech, and the small quirks every indivdual carried with them.
A pair of Bahari had approached him, a little late to the ball but with good reason. Something had washed up on their shore and the pride needed some assistance in clearing the beast away- and stripping it for its bones. It would make an interesting story and conclude the year's ball with a grand feast. It would also give the Kizi an opportunity to see the homeland of their neighbors for themselves.
He approached Riddlemouth with the two strangers at his back. Shandor was already engaged in conversation with the Bahari leader- which would explain why the leader himself hadn't been the one to bring them the news of this beast.
"Uncle, a word?"
Riddle-Mouth || Shandor cut himself off short and turned his head. The easy laughter faded into something more welcoming as his "nephew" approached with a pair of strangers at his back. "Ah Fire-dog. Seems you've mingled a bit. Who are your friends?"
Fire-Dog || "Friends, sir. They bring some news from our brothers." He nodded them forward. "Please- make your invitation. We aren't nearly as formal as other prides might be."
OOC We'll be wrapping this year's Mummer's Ball up pretty soon! Members of the Kizi are encouraged and welcome to join the Bahari! We'll allow one more week for responses then roll activity winners. :3

Paranoia
"Well, uhm.." she stammered, not sure how best to describe her "predicament". It was a bit of a mood kill, after all. "It's nothing overly complicated. You see, I'm more than a little skittish. It seemed a fitting name considering my trust issues."
Paranoia forced an uncomfortable smile across her maw, hoping to pass off the rather serious topic as lighter than it ever could be. She was surprised to find herself still dancing, her muscles moving under her dark coat without the need for her to tell them to. A trace amount of genuine joy graced her smile.
Something caught her attention, and her eyes flicked off toward the Gypsy King as one of the royal litter brought forward two strange lions. She didn't know what was going on, but pointed the scene out to Farce with a nod of her head anyway. If a Lord was introducing newcomers to the King, something had to be afoot.
Blood in the Water
Hana almost didn't register her sister's words as her gaze fixed on one of their brothers. Her eyes narrowed curiously as their littermate led two of the Bahari - Gods, she could smell their salty, beach-bum scent from here - toward Riddle-Mouth.
"They've been well; things have been quiet lately, which is good news for the pride." Her answer was a little distracted, and she barely paused for breath before switching topics. "Let's go see what Fire Dog is up to with Uncle and his guests."
She gently nudged Nelly's shoulder with her own and rubbed her flank along her sister's as she passed, her curiosity making her want to rush but her discipline allowing her to pad calmly forward.
Hana reached the small group in time to hear her brother encourage the two Bahari to "make their invitation". Her ears pricked as she settled onto her haunches in between and a little behind her brother and uncle. She nodded greeting to both, a slow blink of affection at her brother, and allowed her claws to slide from their sheaths and burrow into the soft sand underpaw. She was itching to know what this invitation was, and waited eagerly for the strangers to speak.
AstoriaFallen Sorry for the delay, guys! Life got hectic. I guess if there's one good thing about being sick, it's more time on the computer.

Kei
Was a little less short of amused. His youngest sister was that of a stubborn mule when it came time to get ready for the ball. They had found themselves quite entertained and rejoiced in the prides' together since the cubnapping days of old. They- his siblings were blessed to be children of a God, of Virtue no less. He was like his father in most ways, but he was quite and attentive when he came to the ball. Finding himself just watching over his siblings and staying by his mother's side. No one would harm nor take them ever again. That he would be sure of.. but while everyone enjoyed themselves, and his mother told him to 'relax and find his own way to rejoice this wonderful event and by social' he took to the beach and watched the tides come in. If only he wasn't a seer... he wouldn't have to hide himself from everyone in case he had a vision... The more he was around others, the worse it could get. But tonight... for now. No visions had plagued him.
Buffy_the_Bloody If you wanted to throw anyone in. Ariel or Ursela or yea ;p
Harmonia
The sweet sister, the one whom had been cub-napped was arguably on her own vendetta when coming to the ball. Percy. The boy she had met when she had been taken. He was sweet, a gentle soul and protected her. They had come to visit once before but with such a short time they hardly got to enjoy it. Now that she was older and they hadn't seen each other in some time. She wanted it to be remembered, she wanted to finally see if they were meant for one another like she had dreamed. Not visioned. All the visions she had ever saw were horrifying but she could never hear them. Her twin Set had the pleasure of having. She had hoped he enjoyed himself too but for all this time at the ball.. She couldn't find Percy! Adorned in flowers and shells that rung like jingles in her wake.. Even if others asked her to dance, she would smile- nod and walk in hopes of finding her beloved...
Israfel
The lioness was only here to watch over her children but now they were older she could finally sit back and enjoy herself. Maybe this pride wasn't as crazy as she thought, although she did give them forgiveness without regret. A part of her wanted to know more. Now that she was finally here, she could relish in the dances that reminded her so much of her birth pride. Gypsies. She loved the everlasting laughter and happiness and when invited to dance, she didn't hesitate and jumped in like a Bahari would in the ocean. Head first. Twirling around and as she did, her bracelete shells would hit the ground in a magical way... In perfect harmony with the others as if she belonged here.

Athena gave a bow of her head to Shandor, her hair bouncing just slightly. "Good evening, Lord Riddlemouth." Formality was something hard to let go of. "We have a giant dead beast on our beach, actually rather edible. I come to extend a friendly invitation to our brothers and sisters of the Kizingo'zaa to join the Bahari'mtoto to have a feast of it. I don't feel there's enough Bahari lions at present to consume it, and it struck me as a golden opportunity to foster good blood between the prides." The unspoken words about past actions remained unsaid. As she saw it, it was a sign that the Bahari forgave the Kizingo'zaa fully and completely, if there were ever any lingering displeasure left.
The leopon glanced at his mate, a slight curiousity-filled glint in his eyes. She'd left something unsaid, he could tell... He just didn't know what it was, yet. He'd have to ask later. His leopard-like tail twitched as he looked about, taking in the sights of all the lions gathered. The glimmer of curiosity was still there, as he processed everybody present. So many faces he'd never seen before! He'd have to come back another day to see about meeting many of them. What were all their gypsy names? He was simply giddy to know!

Farce || The music from the mummers wound down and the dancing around them slowly came to a halt as the king drew attention to himself. Farce ducked his head and curled a paw under himself in a sweeping show of formal gratitude. It was over the top, certainly, but the mummer's ball was the perfect time for theatrics. No one could complain if he showed a little class.
"Trust issues, perhaps, but you were perfectly charming company tonight." He lifted his head and winked over to the female. "I hope we'll have the chance to cross paws by the fire again, Paranoia."
He drew his eyes away, seeking out the Gypsy King and the two strangers as they took the center stage.
FireDog || The young prince stood silently near his uncle, allowing Shandor to address the pride. The news wasn't exactly news to him. Afterall, he had been the one to first hear of the situation down the coastline.
As his sister approached, he offered a brief wink in her direction but remained silent as the announcement was addressed. A feast with the Bahari on the night of the mummer's ball. A monster washing up on the sands- too much for an entire pride to eat. Perhaps the tides were turning in their favor. The huntresses and hunters could take a break for a few nights and they'd all go home with fat bellies and salty lips.
RiddleMouth || Shandor smirked. A feast then. Most wonderful. Any oppertunity was to be taken. Gypsies got by day by day on little oppertunities and unguarded loopholes. An invitation from their brothers down the coastline was indeed cause for celebration. "Thank you, cousins." He said with a nod to the visiting Bahari. Turning to the pride, he elevated his voice as the mummers quieted their instruments and their songs.
"You here that, friends? Our neighbors have for us a feast! Fetch your cubs and those too lazy to have a good time." He nodded down to the two visitors. "Follow them back to the carcass. Eat your fill, but mind yourselves." A little more casually he added, "If you can stand to."
OOC I lied! XD I got pretty busy irl with some things that went on. Consider this my last post in the metaplot! Be sure you turn in your 'during the metaplot' side rp's so I can log them in our tracker for future reference. :3 I'll be rolling for winners next! Feel free to continue rping in there, but officially we are all done with this year's mummer's ball! Sorry again for the sudden change of plans and the cop-out to a general ball. (Honestly though, we needed one ball to go normal and right. XD ) Next year we're planning something a little more interesting/involved.
