"Like gravity like love, You get up after you fall Like gravity like love I'm not afraid anymore Like gravity like love, You get up after you fall, I ain't afraid no more
Lafiel began as a wind soquili born from boredom and a sketch pad in 2009, but as the years went on he became so much more. He became the voice in my head telling me not to give up when I most wanted to, and he became an example for me on the powers of optimism. He started out with a few scars but as events in my life took a turn for darkness more began to appear and I soon realized I had created a character who bore the brunt of my pain and fear for me, a character who represented the strength I had felt I lost long ago.
I make mention of this only to emphasize exactly how important he is to me.
Rules to be Observed * I ask you, with the utmost kindness, not to become upset if I refuse a plot you have proposed. * Feel free to pm me if you would like to begin a plot. Posting in here is fine as well but be sure to quote me so that I am able to see it. * I am glad to look over breeding requests if the Soquili in question is of age, but I am quite avid about wanting rp. It may take a while but you can't hurry love. * I have specific plots listed below that I wish to fulfill, but this does not mean I am not open to ideas if you think it fits. * Any questions? Please feel free to ask! Updates * June 1, 2014 -- Seeking to fulfill 'A Little Family' plot * July 1, 2014 -- Plot thread opens * June 25, 2014 -- Construction begins

Name: LafielGender: StallionDomain: OptimismParents: Presumably Deceased Siblings: Adriel - Presumably Deceased Mate: NoneChildren:NoneRp color:#726E6DObtained From: HG's Generosity; SCPersonality: In the past Lafiel gave little thought to the thoughts and feelings of those around him. He was raised as a privileged and spoiled future heir that could obtain virtually everything his heart desired. Of course, he was and always shall be an Angeni so he was not cruel or manipulative toward others, he simply did not fully understand what being an Angeni really meant. He did not appreciate the power he was given or why it was given to him; he focused solely on how perfect he was and anything beyond that was an unexplored gray area.
He did not receive a domain or realize his full potential until he and a great number of other Soquili were captured and tortured by humans that allowed their curiosity to overrule their common sense and hearts. His ego slowly wore away and his instincts turned to the basics. He wanted to survive and as that thought sunk in he realized he wanted to help those around him do the same. His selfish, conceited ways fell away and he made it his duty to bear the brunt of the torment, finally deciding what to use his strength for.
He would attempt to keep their spirits up by reminding them of home and telling them that each day they survived was another day closer to freedom. He would fill their minds with hope and, for a moment, make them forget about the horrid circumstances looming above them. He would laugh and joke, no matter how much it would hurt him because he was unwilling to see the light leave their eyes as they gave into darkness.
Lafiel conceals the ordeal he went through pretty well, mainly because he sees it as a learning experience that made him who he is today. Even so, not all of the trauma has simply washed away under the light of optimism. He still experiences horrific night terrors that force him to relive those wretched days, to see the faces of those he was unable to free as he said he would, and to feel the almost crippling fear that was his constant for such a long time. He speaks of this to no one as he uses his own domain to work it through, but inwardly he knows that he is only bandaging a more serious problem.
He is a playful stallion who is soft spoken and gentle in his words and actions. He adores laughing and making others laugh, especially when they are feeling depressed or alone. He can make light of just about anything which can be both irritating and inspirational. He has a large heart and a strong will, something he attempts to utilize when helping others. History: Wind whispering through the trees, the scent of lush green grass as he made his way lackadaisically through the fields he called home; the sight of the large snow capped mountains providing a wall of protection on all sides, and his mother’s sweet face gazing down upon him with eyes full to the brim with love and pride. All the things Lafiel once enjoyed when he was considered to be an average colt born of the wilderness with fire burning deep within his soul. At this time in his life he was entirely carefree, taking life day by day and taking every bit of it for granted unbeknownst to him. He never took note of the beauty he witnessed with his own azure eyes each day that he was alive. Or how great it felt to stretch his muscles out as he ran as fast as he could across the valley, racing those his own age or older, proving his superiority. He grew to be a fine stallion, strong, swift, cunning, handsome and, at times, conceited. He knew he was a fine creation of nature and took that for granted as well. Oh how one looks back on the past and realizes how much the minute things should have meant.
One day free and the next crammed into a confined space filled with panicked horses from many different herds and locations. The stench of fear hung heavy on the air above him as the humans locked him and his brethren into the back of a large wagon and hurried away from his lush fields; the only thing keeping him sane was the presence of his mother beside him. Her warm body lent him comfort and the spicy scent of freedom on her coat provided him with a sense of calm. For the first time in his life he was uncertain of the outcome. His confidence began to fade as the sun rose and fell many times along this horrific journey. The space into which they had been shoved had begun to reek of excrement and death along with the constant scent of sheer terror. Many of the foals and elders passed on before the ride came to an end, cramping the space even further by leaving their shell behind to rot. Still he remained strong, keeping the fear at bay for the sake of his mother who grew weaker and more fragile each passing day.
Finally, the deafening creaks emanating from the wooden beast that ensnared them quieted. Rather than making the situation better the silence only worsened the problem. Anxiety began seeping into the minds of those around him and their eyes rolled back into their heads as they began wildly bucking and kicking as though their lives depended on the very motion. The doors flung open and blood curdling screams ripped from the depths of many Soquili as they were dragged roughly through the opening by a firm hand and strong rope. His mother was snared before him and ripped from his side into the unknown world that rest beyond those sinister wooden jaws. Suddenly his heart beat loudly in his chest, throwing itself violently against his ribs as though trying to escape. Hands came at him from every direction and something grew taught around his throat, choking him. He was dragged into the dull gray light of a polluted world. The last image he saw before being pulled away from her forever was the horrified look upon his mother’s face as she was loaded into another wagon. No longer were her eyes filled with love and pride, but with sorrow and a defeated soul. She was lost to him forever, her fate never being a mystery he solved.
He was taken to a place he would never forget, not even in his wildest of dreams would he escape its iron clasp. He was thrown into a crowded stall where he would spend what seemed like an eternity; only, as time went on it would become less and less crowded. Those around him would die of illness or of whatever ungodly experiments were conducted upon them. To this day, he still questions how he survived when all but two others died. He was chained down every day and something new and, more often than not, painful would be performed on him. They cut into his flesh while he still lived, hacking away at his body and toying with his wings. Sometimes he would feel groggy while they did this and other times he wasn’t nearly groggy enough. After they finished playing they would take large needles and inject an ominous looking brown liquid into his veins, testing for something. The last thing they stole from him was his sight, only to replace it with a strange metal contraption around his head. The last thing he saw of this earth was a dimly lit room with blood and urine staining the floor.
Lafiel still doesn’t exactly recall how he escaped his nightmare, for it all seems a blur to him. He is still growing used to being blind and gets lost easily so it is no surprise that the day he escaped he was a little disoriented. He remembers humans shouting and the horses that still lived screeching and carrying on. The next moment it seemed he was fleeing as fast as he could in any direction, soon to smell fresh air once more. Somehow he came to a stop in these lands, but upon first arriving he was unable to enjoy his freedom. He was struggling with the sensations of anger and hate, wanting nothing to do with nature or the world around him. He broke down and began reflecting on the darkness and blood of his past. Only, in his darkest hour, he heard the once familiar sound of birds chirping, and breathed in the freshness of lush grass and clean air. His mother’s voice called out to him and he knew that they way he was living now was a disgrace to her memory. He had survived what many others hadn’t; he should have been grateful for the life he had the chance to live again. From that day forth he became more positive about his situation and, one could say, he finally grew into the stallion he was always meant to be. I would like for these to go in order so that his personality may shape with each experience. As such I will be marking the ones I currently wish to fulfill in red when they become available. They will be grayed out once completed. Blood and Breath: Lafiel has just recently escaped from the people who have tortured him and kept him captive. He has run day and night, terror nipping at his heels like the dogs of the monsters that hurt him. He can't see; his senses are all off and he doesn't know where he is. It is a wonder he hasn't run into a tree and broken his neck, but by the first light of dawn he is forced to stop. His weak body can do no more. He lays down and attempts to catch his breath, thinking how easy it would be for him to just sink into the earth and slip into nothingness. To give into the pain, and just give up. In that moment he feels the sun on his skin for the first time in forever, he hears the sound of birds chirping and leaves being rustled in the breeze. Cold air washes into his lungs and the voice of his sweet mother is carried on the wind. "Live." She keeps saying. "Live." This is the plot where Lafiel will first decide that he has survived and must keep doing so, that even though the world is a dark and frightening place there is still beauty. A Little Family: It is my hope that whilst Lafiel recovers from his escape, a Usida mare will stumble across him. A maternal sort with a family back home who wouldn't mind taking in an oversized lug. She will comfort him, take him back to their home and eventually come to be known as his 'little mother.' This family will teach him how to cope with the loss of his sight and provide him with the love he needs to remain strong as he attempts to sort a few things out. Ever in Need: While he is recovering and learning how to survive with his handicap, Lafiel comes across a mare who is in great need of...something. She seems lost, hurt, confused and lonesome. This is the first time he will read an aura, but it will be very fuzzy and he won't truly know what it is. She is a kind mare, asking him to keep her company and to keep her from being alone. Being the big sweetie that he is, he will comply. This is where he will first realize he truly wants to help others stay out of darkness. 'E' is for EVEil: The mare he has met and promised to keep out of the darkness is not what she seems. Her name is Eve and she has a vendetta. She merely wants to use Lafiel so that she may become pregnant with his strong children in order to build an army. She fools him with her lost maiden routine and eventually gets what she wants. Though she wrinkles her nose in disgust at him when she speaks words of love, he is none the wiser and thinks that he may be saving someone. Best Friend: During his time with Eve, Lafiel will have left his little family (he will visit of course but he needs to fly the nest) and is feeling a little homesick for the home he was taken from. At this time he will meet another mare, one who will become his best friend and confidant. And, one who will develope strong feelings for him over the course of their friendship. (Eventually may lead to a lifemate.) Gone...: Staying with Eve through her pregnancy he feels as though he could truly call this his life, until she abandons him. Taking her swollen belly and his only children with her she leaves no trace. He is devastated at the loss of his children and feels hopeless, but knows somewhere in his heart that they will find him again. This is where he will need his best friend more than ever and they will grow even closer.

Hello Hello xD I thought I would offer Ikinya for your little mother plot. She really is...a little mother despite she's never birthed any children to date. She is kind, patient, extremely loyal, and of course has an Angeni lovemate. Her family is big and small, so there would be plenty to help him along the way especially their bigger members who could physically assist him with his rehabilitation. They have adopted a few adult soquili as "children" in the sense of inviting them into their family and treating them like they were their kin from the start - so it wouldn't be the first time wink She is also the Alpha of her herd, so there would be plenty to meet/see/experience in it. (Also, she's also lost two of her "children", one to the surrogate mother Cuauh was with, and one of their best friend's children to the harpies after she and Cuauh raised him and his sister when their sibling ran off - so it feels like a loss too) for when his later plots happen his little mama would understand :<

Sorry this has taken me so long to respond to! Goodness! I think she would make a perfect match for his little mother. It is good she has experience with big lugs as well and she sounds wonderful!
I would love to start and rp between the two after he has 'crash landed' in the kawani lands. Would you be willing?

Tiro's been super busy so Don't lose hope for the little family part of the plot! But if you want we can start an RP starting after she had gotten help so we can get lafiel's plots moving a bit more if you want. o3o Cuauhcoatl could help teach him more about how to control his domain abilities and powers.. Plus we have a unicorn in the herd who could at least help with the pain -- too late for such a thin blooded unicorn (loads of regular and cerynei in his bloodline) to really do much, but he can help with it over a while and, there would be scars and he cant do anything about the eyes, he can help with the pain. I'll admit I'm also pretty slow, but I figured since Ikinya's becoming his little mother, might as well offer the rest of the family.

I totally understand and am still clinging to the plot like an overly clingy significant other hehe! I would love to start some rps with you in order to further his character!! Cuauhcoatl sounds like an amazing teacher and I am certain Lafiel would be more than happy to listen to his teachings!! OOOooo! I am open to all of it! -Hoards all the plots- Don't even worry about moving slowly, I am in exactly the same boat so there is absolutely no pressure here.
