Tomorbaatar, all charm and easy smiles, stood and watched the horde as they made their march back to the homelands, tail swaying gently behind him. Somewhere off to his right, a dark lioness was patting the last of the freshly-dug earth into place, covering a tuft of stray, rainbow feathers out of sight. One might mistake this as some sort of kindness. Burying the one that they had so mercilessly hunted down and killed. However, to know of the Nergui would be to know that this was no kindly deed. Their belief in Tra Ord Omak compelled it of them.

Returning the stolen power of the Old One back to the earth where he slept eternal.

"It is done," Mawasii chimed, "when can we leave?"

"So eager to be away?" The iron-pelt lion replied, turning his gaze back to their new 'recruit', "I wish to savour this moment a little longer."

"Of course you do," the female replied, moving over to the dark female, emblazoned with red.

"You are very beautiful," Mawasii complimented, "your markings are unique and your size. You would make a fine braak." Her accent was southern for she was one of the newer recruits into the Nergui ranks - alongside her brother who was back at the horde's settlement. She had found a strange sort of peace amongst the 'savages' and though she wasn't as religious or supersticious as them, had felt a kindred spirit to their fight. She often wondered whether her father would have liked them, too, if he had still been alive.

"I am Mawasii," she introduced, "what is your name?"

Koka watched as the dark lioness and steely lion buried the dead form of the Goddess. How lucky for her, she earned two body guards during her assault of one of their pride members. The blood from the wounds on the side of her head had already stopped bleeding, but blood caked her ebony fur where the blow had been dealt. It all happened so fast and Koka's mind was still reeling.

How had she ended up in this mess? Oh, that's right. A Vision had led her to the pride's hunt. The rest was completely fuzzy to her, but she certainly had gotten herself into quite some trouble this time around, and she was well aware of it. Otherwise she would have been doing her damn hardest to fight her way out of this situation. As it was, she was surrounded by a group of lions, obviously a pride, and said pride had managed to kill a Goddess. She wasn't going to fight her way out of this one; not yet anyway. Of course it didn't mean she had to be happy or nice to her captors.

Looking down at the lump in the earth, the only indication left of of the Goddess, Koka almost felt a pang of remorse. Despite the fact that the rainbow feathered Goddess had something to do with her erratic behavior during the hunt, it was strangely disorienting to think that beings she had always thought immortal were, well...not.

Koka had been tuning out her two body guards as she attempted to get her thoughts in order. In fact, she was so in her thoughts that she almost didn't realize that the lioness was speaking to her. Turning her violet eyes away from the mound of dirt, Koka practically glared death. She ignored the comments about her beauty. At any other time she would have taken the compliment and ran with it, but now this day. Not as a captive.

"Koka." She answered bitterly. "What is going on here? Why would you feel the need to hold me captive?" Best to find out information before beginning to raise hell.

Mawasii blinked, the bright blue eyes filled with curiosity. She had not partaken in the fight, preferring to stand back and be on hand in case the situation escalated, and this had given her a good view of the fight and that which had happened.

"You attacked Muunokhoi Oma. If it were not for Tomorbaatar's quick thinking, you'd likely be dead. The Warlord agreed to take you back as a...slave. So that you'd learn your place." Mawasii's ears dipped at that. She was generally a kindhearted female who took no pleasure in seeing the suffering of others. And yet she understood the reason for this. It was a punishment and it didn't have to last forever.

"Exactly that," Tomor added, "but you have your life, for what it is worth. Now, come on, lets get moving. They're out of sight now. I doubt we'll be able to catch up."

Koka didn't move. A single word seemed to freeze her in place.

Slave...did they really? No. It couldn't be. How could they think that she, Koka, could possibly be a slave?! She remembered all too well what the slaves in the Firekin had been like with their weak hearts and bodies. She was anything BUT. She had Royal blood in her veins! She was touched by the Gods and able to see things beyond her being, as helpful as that had been today. "I am no mere slave." Her voice was cold as she stared down the two lions as if daring them to contradict her.

Koka had no idea what capabilities these two lions had with fighting but she was ready and willing to fight her way out of the situation she had landed in. As ready and willing as she was, Koka was still not feeling 100%. Whatever happened to her in that battle had left her feeling exhausted after trying to fight the effects, and also physically exerting herself in the attack. Koka could certainly fight but she only had so much stamina.

"Well, sorry to disappoint, but you are now." Tomorbaatar replied, a hint of impatience lacing his tone. With a soft growl he circled back behind the dark female and gave her a shove forwards, his teeth laid bare. "Don't make this get ugly, now."

Mawasii, for a long moment, said nothing, her blue eyes watching the female with a sense of pleading.

"Don't let there be any more blood shed. Not this day."

A stray rainbow feather tumbled across the dust, caught in the wind. "With the Nergui its succumb or die. There is no middle ground."

"That's right. Soon you may be one of us and what a prize you will be. The males will hunger after a female like you." He growled again, snapping his jaws together. "Now move."

Koka didn't even see the look on Mawasi's face. The shove was more than enough to irk the lioness unto being completely and utterly defiant. How dare they?! She was not some antelope to be cowed into submission or brought down. She was a lioness and a well trained fighter at that!

"Don't let there be any more blood shed. Not this day."

Koka growled at Mawasii without turning away from Tomor. "If you don't want bloodshed then just walk away, now."

"Soon you may be one of us and what a prize you will be. The males will hunger after a female like you."

"I am no prize to be won!" She spat out. "I will never again bare cubs! I don't care if you, my visions or the Gods demand or foretell it!" Her violet eyes held determination in them as her claws dug into the earth, waiting for Tomor or Mawasii to attack her. She knew she was bluffing her own capabilities right now. At most she may be able to land a blow or two with how she was feeling. That may be enough though for her to get away.

"We can't walk away. Who would dare defy the Warlord's order? Not I. Not Tomorbaatar." Mawasii returned softly.

The male lion sank his claws into the earth then and bared his teeth, lifting his head with a show of dominance. His patience was waning and time was ticking. The horde were gone and at this rate they'd miss all the festivities back at the settlement. Ok, so he hadn't done any fighting, but he had still been there.

"Its submit or die, bescr, now let's go." With a growl, the male shoved forwards, clearly intending to physically shove the dark lioness forwards. Mawasii stepped closer, a lip curled in the beginnings of a snarl that did not quite reach her eyes.

"Do not misunderstand me, female. I am a patient lion but only to a certain degree. You are coming with us dead or alive; its your choice. Our warlord might be a little angered at being denied his slave, but your pelt will make a fine trophy indeed."

Koka snapped at the male as he dared try and push her along showing she she felt about submitting to anyone. But with a warning growl and swipe of her paw, Koka tentatively moved in the direction that they had wanted her to go. Her mind raced with ideas and possible escape routes, but there wasn't much promise in what she could come up with. Her best shot would be to injure one of her captors, preferably the male, before making a mad dash to safety. As much as Koka reveled in fighting, she also knew when to cut her losses and make haste to safety.

Licking her maw, the lioness glanced around herself, trying to gauge the terrain. Unfortunately it appeared as if luck was not with her. There was nothing to really hide within or behind if she managed a clean get away. Just open plains for as far as the eye could see. It would be quite a hefty run to break away. Could she do it? Would she be able to withstand her extreme fatigue?

Guess there was only one way to find out. She'd only get one shot at this.

Koka barely came to a stop before she whirled herself around. With ears back, teeth shown, and claws outstretched, Koka lunged at Tomor. She aimed for his front legs. This attack was clearly desperation as she moved to injure the male she he would not be able to pursue her as easily. All she'd need to do was land one good blow either with her claws or teeth. Whichever it would take.

Then she'd have to run for it and pray that Mawasii would give up, or separate herself enough from Tomor that Koka would be able to attack her without fear of being attacked by both of them at once. Already she was opening herself up for the two of them to gang up on her, but hopefully her little 'surprise' attack would buy her time to get the hell out of dodge before Mawasii could join in the fight.

so sorry for the delay. There's really no excuse for how long this took.

One moment it seemed like she had submitted and then the next? Tomor's lips curled up in a reactionary snarl and beside him, Mawasii gave a startled gasp. Was she truly wishing to end her life? Such a beautiful, strong lioness? Was a Nergui life so bad? Mawasii didn't think so, despite the roughness of the people she found herself amongst. They had their faults, sure, but didn't everyone?

"Stop!" She blurted.

Tomor reared backwards in an attempt to dodge Koka's swipe, earning a few score marks against his fur where the claws caught him. Heart racing, Mawasii did only what her instinct told her to do. She threw herself at the other female, yowling angrily as she prepared for their bodies to make contact.
